I was curious if you would be able to make a video explaining what to do to renew our cosmetology license? You were the reason I passed my practical and I’m so grateful for all that you do.

You will renew your license every two years , you have to do 4 hrs of continuing education, it can be done at a business who offers it in person or you can do it online. As the renewal date gets closer you will receive reminders that your license will soon expire. Tdlr has a list of places who offer it I do mines online I use easyLR24.com once you complete it they send the information to tdlr and you pay for the new license fee (on the tdlr website) that’s pretty much it 😊💗
Are your esthetician practice tests up to date, I’ve been studying out of my miladys book but I want to find videos as well

Will the test be specific to one type of license? Like for esthetician, will it have questions on the lash course ?
Each test is specific for your type of license. No your esthetician test will not have questions regarding eyelash extensions.

Study study study if you are in Texas laws rules and regulations is a huge part of your test including infection control both from the book and the laws and rule book 🍀🍀
Hi! Does Texas offer an apprenticeship for cosmetology?
A student can work doing shampoos only using their Student permit. But that’s about it as far as I know 🙂 of course once Licensed there are salons that do offer apprenticeships that lead to becoming a full time stylist after six months to a year.
Hi I need serious help 🥲 I have a lot of questions about the practical exam and haven’t found anyone with answers. I graduated from Cosmetology school about 4 years ago now and still haven’t been able to do my exam. Is it too late for me?

I do not work for TDLR , but if you are in Texas i want to believe they give students 5 years after graduating to take the written exam. so i do not thinks it’s too late . I would highly recommend you give them a call to simply confirm , using your permit number if not I’m sure they can look you up using something else. 😊

Hi, You need to contact TDLR and they will explain the process to do a license transfer.
Welcome. I’ve been expired here in TX looking for motivation as I was licensed since 84 and a lot of new requirements merely for me to focus on color & some haircuts or all color & no haircuts depending upon the salon. I leased a suite for years something’s gotta give I’m driving Uber & lyft just can’t wrap my head around all the non relevance of licensing & “regulations!”
