Canned corn works well in fried rice, green beans go well in cream of soups, and almost have a mushroom texture, carrots go great blended smoothly in pasta sauce, peas go great in tuna tetrazzini, almost any bean will make good nachos/ tacos, except maybe pork n beans, but slice up some hotdogs and sprinkle some cheese and I’d eat that on chips, just some ideas if you need to use them up. I know it’s not low carb but I’m sure you could make it work.
The food pantry has definitely helped get over the hump and also be able to handle emergency expenses like dental or an unexpected car repair. Also it has taught a lot about other foods that I would have never tried that are pretty inexpensive like farro.
Farro is delicious! Cook it with water or bone broth, until it is tender enough for you. We eat it cold with chopped tomatoes and cucumbers and feta cheese with balsamic dressing and throw in some chickpeas. Farro is a complete protein and really yummy!
Great food bank haul! You might seriously want to try going later. One of the RUclips ladies who goes to food pantries weekly will go 30 mins. before closing. She still has a good selection even going that late. And her and husband do not have any children but she feels it is just more time-saving. I understand how valuable your time is with 5 children and a husband and all the demands of running a household. Also, have you ever mentioned your 1st name? If you prefer not to due to privacy, can we call you a nice nickname? You are too sweet of a lady to be called Mrs. X or No Name RUclips person. God Bless!
Funny story, my son BEGGED and BEGGED for seaweed. So I finally gave in one day. He got to the parking lot and ripped open the package he was so excited! He took one tiny bite his face lost all color and he puked all the way to the car!
So weird! I’m making stirfry. And when I picked up the sweet & sour sauce to pour it in the pan, you picked up your sweet & sour sauce, and said sweet & sour sauce. Totally a coincidence but it creeped me out a little…
My grandma had a teddy bear cookie jar. She keep dum dum sucker in. My uncle wouldn't let me have it. My sister find one a few years back . Give it to me for christmas with dum dum . She drove a hour and a half to get it for me .
Not being mean but why do you take venison when you already have some. Plus you have said you dont like it. Someone would probably love to receive the protein.
That is a very blanket general statement. Of course there are people on food stamps who also need extra help from a food bank or a food pantry. Do you think food stamps cover that much food?
If folks are on food stamps they qualify for the food bank. We work at food bank. I think your comment is rude. Maybe you should walk in their shoes before you speak. I think she does a great job feeding her children. Blessings

We like farro in place of rice…use in fried rice. Can also be added to soups
I buy the concentrate dish soap from the Amish, I like to add about a third of bottle of vinegar to it. It really helps it it suds up!!!
A lot if different interesting things I have never seen . You never know if you like it until you try it.

I really appreciate how you refer to your haul as a blessing. And, you are encouraging to others who may need to reach out for assistance.
Farro is supper healthy and yummy . I make it on a nice salad with grilled shallots and sliced pears/ apple …
The farrow is like quinoa you cook it the same way
Cut up the nori and add it to a soup (at the very last minute)... it increases the nutrition without eating an unfamiliar texture,
thanks
Great haul. You could try making some 'farrotto' with the farro. I've seen some lovely recipes for that online, think you may like😊
Nice haul and God bless you all!!❤❤❤❤
I would give Pineapple another day or so to sweeten still looks really green
What a blessing. You are so right about seeking help. God will provide. God bless 🙏🏼❤️
Good evening! I hope everything is going well for you. Have been praying for you and your family. Have a wonderful weekend.
We cook the ferro and add to soup most times. Great haul!
Use farro in soups or salads. Very yummy nutty taste. Our new favorite grain!
Make farro as a pilaf!
Thanks for sharing your great haul! I never had deer meat
😂 the ranch dip made me want a carrot and I just bought sour cream so made some dip lol
You do a great job filming the items and explaining what you use them for. 🌻 All the Peanut Butter & Co flavors are delicious!

Ranch seasoning can be added into tacos or crockpot porkchops 😊
Farro is good in soups and by it self as a side or to put stir fry on top of instead of rice.
Great job sister
Good morning my friend

Deer steak in with mushroom soup is delicious!

I don't share my name for privacy but you can totally call me Willow. It happens to fit my personality pretty well. Lol

Your great grandfather story..😢😊
Farro would be interchangeable with barley - but farro is gluten just so you know.

Food pantry and food banks don't have any for people with high blood pressure can't have none
Check out "Uncle Chris the Food Pantry Chef". He does food bank with high blood pressure and makes it work.

I don't like venison.
Maybe mixed with turkey...
Oh we will for sure use it. I just usually mix it with ground turkey to lighten the gamey flavor.
I’m always shocked at the high quality gluten free products you get that literally kill our budget (gf is necessity, not choice).
I know and agree 100%!
If you get food stamps don't go to the food pantry or food bank you're already getting assistance you don't need the help
We don't get those. But even if someone was, sometimes it still isn't enough help.
