- A federal judge sentenced former Baltimore prosecutor Marilyn Mosby to 12 months of home detention and three years of supervised release, both to be served concurrently, plus 100 hours of community service. Mosby, 44, decided not to speak before the sentence was delivered. She later spoke outside the courthouse, thanking her legal team and supporters, saying, in part: "(God) has touched the heart of this judge and allowed me to go home to my babies." She took no questions.

We don’t know if you are claiming there’s two tears because they went after Marilyn Mosby on such an extremely small paperwork crime or if you believe she was not punished enough. If you really believe that people are sentence to prison over a small paperwork crime like this, then I’m sorry but that belongs in a category of “poorly educated“. They never even prosecute these crimes because this is not what it’s really about. Mortgage fraud as usual A more systematic scheme and those people will get between one and 1.5 years in prison.

Miss Mosley is not a victim here, I work with New York state, and a number of employees were charged with improperly using their deferred compensation funds, during the covid. They are given the choice of paying the money back or criminal charges, she chose to challenge this in court . She is not a victim here, yes it is your own money but as you sign the statement saying that the only reason that you can take it out is for emergency purposes

She was convicted for 1) lying about being in "financial hardship" so that she could withdraw her monies without penalties and 2) falsifying her wealth on mortgage applications disclosures so that mortgages on properties she was attempting to purchase in Florida would originate. I worked in public safety for 30 years and I’ve seen Jury’s find people guilty for serious crimes with actual victims and not get jail time. Home detention was sufficient while she fights her appeals.

Excuse me, she went after the institution of policing and its officers who are rarely charged for injuring or murdering people. Anyone who has eyes can see this is the primary reason she was targeted for this controversy. They wanted to break her. I pray she wins on appeal. Yet trump has charges related to fraud, perjury, etc., I do not think he will serve a day in prison.
