My Neighbor Totoro does remind me of my childhood in Okinawa during the 1960s. I'm in my 70s now but I'm hoping that when I go, I'll go back to that magical period in my life.
I agree completely. My Neighbor Totoro is a truly wonderful film, despite first watching it when I was 22 I loved it. Like I've said, it's pretty much a hug in movie form and proves you don't really need high stakes in a story like this. Also for reasons even I don't know, I got a kick out of the Chowder reference (used to love Chowder).
You summed it up perfectly, couldn't have said it better myself. It's just a hug incarnated into a movie, and sometimes that's all a film should be, and it's heartwarming whether you're a kid or an adult. Also glad you enjoyed the Chowder joke, thought it would be appropriate lol
So nice of Hayao Miyazaki to make a movie about that plush toy in Bonnie's room in toy story 3 😊. But seriously the father in this movie is the absolute mvp dad
Aww thank you so much, I’m glad you enjoyed it, and welcome haha! Definitely throw a like and subscribe if you wanna see more stuff like this, always appreciate reading comments like this :)
22 year old. I have bad news, it's only down hill Frome here🤣 I enjoyed the movie but I didn't feel that child like wonder. However Zelda branch of the Wild did exactly that for me. For around 1 week my old ass brain was able to process being experienced and happy was.😂
Haha, I know it only goes downhill from here, but hey, all the more reason to feel like a kid again. And that's fair, it's not going to connect with everyone as it's one of my favorites as a kid, but I'm glad you found that connection with Breath of the Wild

The father is an actual chad.
And yeah, probably the best Toy Story 3 spinoff :)
I'm glad I came across your channel! Great video! :)

This sounds like it has a good concept and relates to some real issues. Looks like very nice animation from the clips.
Oh yeah man definitely check it out, it's absolutely worth your time. It's just a very sweet and pleasant film that feels like a hug
