It's a wavebreaker fender for the evacuation deck. The first vessel (Oasis) passed through a considerable North Atlantic storm during delivery voyage and had some damage on the lifeboats due to waves crashing from front. Can't have that happen so these side bulges were added.

I was on a cruise with Howie from backstreet boys in 2001 or 2002. The staff took us up a ladder to the bow that even they’re not allowed on. It was so windy and we were so drunk I thought one of us will fly off. We all made it to the bow to pull a titanic. Gotta admire drunk teens sometimes

I've only been one one cruise, but the bow was open to passengers for half of one day. They had a few crew there at all times while it was accessible.

Would think it’s a “outdoor” area for smoking, however the fact it locks and has no key slot on the inside.. I’d be one to bet this is definitely something that could be used for the “ waterfront treatment “

Thats the 420 room. Well ventilated with shade. And most important, no camera's. The water hose is for preventing cottomouth and refilling your bongs

That is a really cool area. With solid plexy glass a great viewing area for dolphins or whales. Could be a good location for cameras to do Astro if the ship turned off all its lights
