They disguise their voices and looks and the judges try to guess who they are. At the end of the show, someone is sent home, then they show themselves. LeAnn Rimes was "The Sun" on the show and her performances are insane. She also won the show that season.

She is one of the best artists that has been on the show. They have had some great performers and performances. As for this singer, watch all of her performances from that season. They were all pretty good.
Beautifully Awesome ❤️🔥 yes it is a contest, the singers stay masked until they lose and then the winner at the end, the singers could be any famous person, and they mask their speaking voice because some people can be recognized by their speaking voice, I don't watch it, but this is what I know of the program 😊
She made me cry like a baby all over again.
The premise of the show, is we have to guess who they are and push our favorites through eliminations until one singer is left. We only discover who they are when they have been eliminated or crowned.
When they are practicing they are still masked, they hide their identities from the cast and crew. It's honestly a really entertaining show.
There have also been times people were eliminated and my jaw DROPPED when I found out who they were.
I knew it was Mercades ( Amber Riley ) since she opened her mouth!

You should definitely watch all her performances from that season. She's the first celebrity that I guessed correctly the moment I heard her voice. I'm glad this show was able to give her some validation of how awesome her talents are.
