No MHA animatic this time around, since finishing my Villain Deku series I wanted a break to make stuff for other fandoms and I recently got into the Batfamily! I've been reading the Webtoon series and I liked Tim's character so here it is!!
A Timothy Drake Animatic, all fancy colours and everything!
I've seen panels from other comics of him as robin and red robin, his kind of a mess relationship with his dad but i couldn't find a lot for his mum? Or his past between the time he saw Dick Grayson at the circus and him going to ask him to go back to Robin, so I did just that bit!
I just wanted to make a feel good video tbh, well, the end isn't as feel good but it was a relaxing video for me to make.
Maybe the next video will be of him or another member of the family, or maybe I'll do another series, I've been wanting to make a Zuko animatic for a while too, so we'll see.

Also, one of these days I'll update my avatar for my channel because the two I currently have feel a bit old. So don't be too surprised if that happens.

Omg this was so cute and bittersweet!!! I loved how you portrayed Janet, always traveling but still very loving. Also surprised by how detailed the whole animatic is, like, it's full colored and has little animations everywhere and even backgrounds, like?? It's so good??? Love it!!!
Thank you!!! I saw bits of her being caring at the circus when Tim was little and I thought it would be nice if they were close even from afar! This animatic was way more finished than my usual but it was fun to make, so glad you liked it!!
Tim had two of the most amazing moms ever, Janet and Dana (his stepmother). His dads were insensitive at best (Jack, cause while he didn't abuse Tim, he didn't respect Tim's emotional needs much either. I mean dude destroyed a television because Tim was more focused on it than on him), at worst abusive (looking at you Bruce, you know what you did 😡). Jason is just like Tim in that he has better luck with mother figures (except for Sheila and Talia, but those two should not be considered moms anyway) than father figures. They need all the moms in the world..

This is so cute 🥺🥺🥺🥺!!! I love how you portray their relationship as being so loving and involved!!!! There is this big sexist and popular fanon idea that she was some cold, cruel, and abusive character that I have no idea where it came from! If you actually read the comics you see there's no evidence of that whatsoever. I LOVE how cute and sentimental and adorable Tim's relationship with his parent is here🥺🥺🥺! I read tidbits here and there when I was planning the video and all I found was that she loves Tim and he loves her back, they went to art galleries together when her and Jack were in town, she worried for him when he was little, they sent Tim postcards, like it was all very sweet, so I wanted to portray it that way 😊
You know I wasn’t expecting to cry tonight, but him sitting on the roof then shifting to the grave just ended me.😢

I love whenever I can find a Tim Drake animatic! And this one is so well done!
You know what would be a great dark story? Having Tim be there during A Death In The Family, where he and Janet are kidnapped, and we learn that Tim is actually Jason's biological half-brother (as in Tim is actually Catherine's son with Willis), taken away by Sheila Haywood (Jason's progenitor because calling her a mom is a dishonor to Jason who was sold out to the Joker by this woman who dares to share his blood) and sold to Jack. Despite learning the truth, Janet still loves Tim as a son, and she dies trying to protect them both, but only manages to keep Tim alive (It's A Death In The Family, you know what that means). Then Dana comes along and does her best with Tim as her predecessor before her did, and becomes a good stepmom for Timmers while his father gets worse over time, maybe even becoming his Red Hood protector when he quits Robin and becomes an antihero just like Jason or just supports him through his superhero career. The ladies in Tim's life (Janet, Dana, Steph, and Cass) deserve to be uplifted as the good people they are, and maybe they can show the boys (Jason, Bernard, Dick, Duke, Damian) who Tim truly is and why he deserves respect just like they do..
