Why wasn't Hartman's hit on Pettersson a major but this hit by DeBrincat was?!?! Hartman's hit was worse than DeBrincat's!
Both hits were very dangerous and equal stupid. Petterssons should’ve been a major too
Because Canucks
Take a guess...as a Canucks fan you should know that the league is always against us, it's run by the crybaby and inept toronto people...
or wilson on provorov
Well this hit was at high speed from a really dangerous distance. It was also in the wide open right in front of the ref (pretty much impossible to miss). The hit on Peterson was harder for the ref to see, but I also think it wasn't nearly as dangerous as this one.
Why would DeBrincat do that? Puck was gone, he was out of the play, tie game... there was no need for that sort of hit.
As a hawks fan I totally agree, definitely not ok to do
I’m disappointed in him he would never do that in a normal game
Y’all are weird lol it’s hockey and the oilers played dirty. Should’ve hit harder😂
Obviously people make dumb mistakes sometimes. They are playimg the fastest moving sport in the world😂
d00bZubElEk yep and he didn’t even get hurt he was back in like 3 minutes
Apparently a lot of commenters have never played hockey before.....at that rate of speed the time DeBrincat had to react before contact was very short......He went back to Bear and showed concern i think it was obviously unintentional.
When its a tied game your playing hard its easy to get reckless and do "dirty" hits despite not meaning to do so.
Ancestors give me strength!
Can anyone explain to me how Debrincat didn’t get a game misconduct along with the 5 minute major? Just seems when most get a 5 minute major for boarding they are also thrown out.
@hockeyman1492 Yamamoto shouldve had a 5 minute major and been thrown outta the game in game 3 when he boarded Murphy
Risk Rising I’m not debating the issue. I’m simply asking why there wasn’t a game misconduct and what constitutes a player getting a game misconduct.
Probably because its the playoffs. Theres no way the refs want to determine the result by throwing an impact player out. If he ran Bear from behind all the way through, was looking for a fight afterwards, didnt seem genuinely concerned, he would have got the game. 2-2 in a knockout game, he wasnt trying to board anyone. Regular season, player safety would tell the refs to kick him out but not now. IMO
Lawrence not the playoffs
@@RickRaisin16 ok technically a playoff qualifier. I mean its the same thing. No ones out there playing like its a regular season game. And the officiating is the same.
How exactly was that not a misconduct?
Do you not see the "Board major" part in the title? He was ejected.
Cubertral no he wasn’t
Cubertral He was not ejected
Cubertral Turn on your TV lmao
@@AWCTB u clearly not watching the game so dont give answers
Thank goodness Bear is back on the bench

Yet the Oilers lost
If Oilers get LAFRENIÈRE this league is rigged
@Jesse Pinkman they will fold the league if Oilers got no.1 pick
Oilers and Leafs would not be able to afford him in 3 years anyway.
If the Oilers get Laf, the NHL has nobody to blame but themselves. They force the Oilers into this BS play-in garbage (Oilers finished 4th in the West) and then allow their draft lottery to gift the No.1 pick to a qualifying team.
Man...thats a tough one. Absolutely suspension worthy but it didn't look as malicious as other hits I've seen. Part of me sort of feels for him, but mostly I feel like he had plenty of opportunity to not make that play and chose to anyway...
Not suspension worthy.
Why was this a major, but Yamamoto only got a minor for the same kind of hit. An injury shouldn't be the deciding factor on stupid hits like this.
Another question is why wasn’t he ejected, 99% of majors end up with ejections,
@@kingoftrolls19 why were neither of them ejected? There's no room for those hits in the game.
That sucks hoping he's ok
2 years later, looks like DeBrincat at Bear could be teammates.
Waaaa this is so sad support Ethan bear I wish you don't get bullied Ethan bear we want to Broadway school grade 1 2 I hope we support you a lot Dr brass school
Ooooh! Ow, ow, ooooowww!!!!
This is y the oilers lost how do u not go after debrincat after that no heart on the oilers
I know
Y they so pressed, I’m the smallest guy in my league in 14u travel and this is a normal hit lmao, 1 penalty ever called for it and it was 2 mins, happens almost every game
@Jared Johnson_. I live in Michigan so kinda, but I get hit like this all the time and it rarely ever gets called
@Jared Johnson_. we want better ones but my teams rink is bad so we don’t get good refs that like to work there
Should of been 10 and a game
Damn Murphy should have stayed on the ground for a while so we could of got a 5 min major.
Wonder which NHL team will be the first to hang a Stanley cup banner in the new Edmonton barn lol
Paulette Creighton Calgary Flames
Nobody didn’t try to stick up for him
Late to your comment, but the most of the team on Edmonton was racist. Another reason why Ethan wanted out.
To be honest it's not that bad lmao even tho I'm an ethan bear fan
Wow that was a bad hit....
DeBrincat needs to stop running red lights.
That’s his first
That’s his first
Imagine calling this a major but a minor on a worse one by Yamamoto last game
Or calling nothing on dach, and ennis is out of the series...
Also the hawks got a gift when caguilla dove like a flipping duck. Someone nurse got called for interference. Say wasn’t you want but the officiating has been atrocious for both sides.
@@dwaynesbgb the dach hit was clean, unless you mean where Archibald tried to destroy his knee
I don't understand how that was a minor, but this was a major. An injury shouldn't be the deciding factor on stupid hits like this.
@@dwaynesbgb Are you by chance an Oilers fans? And a peewee ref from La Crete AB??
Why do the oilers always turn there backs at the last second. Fist with Kirby Dach now on Alex Debrincat
I mean, it is a boarding penalty regardless of whether he was turned away or not. Dangerous hit by Debrincat either way.
There was no reason for Debrincat to make that hit, coming from a Hawks fan. It was just stupid.
@@scottbecker4367 its hockey, a contact sport bud. Things happen. If you dont like the hitting part go watch some soccer
@@curtishoelzel8494 it's a contact sport, but hits from behind like this have no place in it. Bear could have broken his neck on that play. Don't be an idiot.
@@scottbecker4367When Bear turned his back at the last second, there is no reaction time to let up on the hit
This is so so sad
Bye bye Edmonton another wasted year of McDavids career.
Chicago's rookies be putting on the heat ayy.
Oh well
Prime Shadow stupid af
Bad call.
should be suspended for that.
i mean it looked bad but bear was right back on his next shift so.....
Probably. It was a really dumb hit.
@@wesleybrame6846 i dont think suicide is a option
Prime Shadow drama??
Salty oilers fan😂
what a stupid hit
What a marshmallow!
You ever been hit from behind ? Nahh , be quiet marshmallow .
What a lazy pass, it's like he wanted to be hit
Bullshit dirty hit
Soft hit these refs were really one sided most of this game. My guess is the phycology behind the oilers being on the brink of elimination and losing.
Looks like he tried to him, he should be charged and banned from hockey..
Koskinen is trash
Karlyn Mackay what are u saying he could’ve stopped the first goal
Bro are you okay he’s the only reason the Oilers made it to game 4
