This global sports championship combines cutting-edge tech, iconic global venues, elite athletes and record-breaking speeds to create the most exciting racing on water. Rival teams from the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, Canada, France, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland and Spain battle it out at iconic venues around the world in short, intense races for a total prize pot of $7 million. Teams compete in identical hydrofoiling F50 catamarans that fly above the water at electrifying speeds approaching 100 km/h. Fan-centric and close-to-shore, each SailGP Championship culminates in a $2 million, three-boat, winner-takes-all Grand Final.

    Phil Robertson is the best starter in the fleet. He takes risks. Sometime they pay off, sometimes they don’t - but thats what it’s all “a boot”.

    It’s exciting to have Brazil and (presumably?) Italy coming next season, but when it comes down to this kind of “12 teams but 11 boats” math… why not just have a NEW team hold off and not join until their boat’s ready? Or let the two new teams alternate on the 11th boat?

    • @deankruse2891
      @deankruse2891 22 дня назад

      because they want the money from the new team, they couldnt sell a team and not give them a boat or make them share a boat.

    It's all good hearing about the teams looking to be bought, etc... Genuinely. It is interesting. But why aren't we hearing anything about GBR & NZ winning the last 2 events on the water? It was barely even mentioned. Surely that's why we watch.

    If the re al concern/driver in SailGp is about performance, why is not Switzerland in the hot seat instead of Canada?

    • @Wil21150
      @Wil21150 25 дней назад

      Because they want it to become a fully operational league with all privately owned teams and the US and Swiss are owned no matter how bad they are

    youtube, why are you filling other channels ad's with sailgp full race regattas that clearly are NOT ad's? this is unfair on channels and the people that watch those channels disadvantaging channels not being able to receive any income from watchers who will and do click out from the Sail GP ad's that are not ads at all. Ad's are not an hour or so more!!!! RUclips you are abusing those who create channels and those who watch.

    Why does SailGP place full race regatta's in other channels ad's? This is unfair and not allowing other channels to collect revenue from people who try to watch there channels with SailGP interferring with full races as AD"S.
