    Thanks, both. Have started using knee pillows at night. Quite effective. Walking too, is more helpful than folk realise. Thanks again.

    On top of walking, an exercise bike or controlled trainer and your bike works really well.
    Your hands and arms, or forearms on the aero rests, take all the load off your lower back.
    You get a strain free therapy session and can really pump the area with blood flow.

    I like the elípticals at the gym. For some reason the movement of that piece of equipment helps my back feel like it is getting a massage. I use heat on my back before I leave for the gym, do no more than 15 min on elliptical, then go do stretch and strength for about 10 minutes and then I use ice pack or frozen peas when I return home to calm everything down. Gym is only about 5 minutes away. It seems to be helping.

    I suffer from lower back pain since 5 days, not severe, I can do almost everything except sport and lifting heavy objects or bending down quickly. At first I was stretching a lot and it got worse, so I assume some muscles are inflamed. Some black rolling and kinesio tape helped, but it still is not massively improving, so I started some research. Which exercises would you recommend to get back on track?

    Alright, I'll do this. Im in my 20s, have had scoliosis for 10 years now and lately my back have been hurting like crazy, every move, sitting, standing. Even after lower back pain exercises. Idk what to do with it anymore and what you're saying seems to be my case. I'll try these, thank you very much and take care. Greetings from the Czech Republic 🇨🇿

    I'm at the point that my right sacroiliac joint is so painful that I'm probably going to have a steroid injection. I have had steroid injections in the past - one epidural steroid injection at L3-L4 which an orthopedic doctor advised and performed - caused lower body and leg numbness which has never gone away. So, I stopped having steroid injections. Now, I'm desperate because of the pain. No physical therapy has been successful on a long-term basis; a PT can reset my right sacroiliac joint, and a SI joint brace helps, but within a day the joint slips out again. Structurally, it's not going to change. I must have pain relief, but am very concerned about having another steroid injection. Advice?! Thank you both!

      We are very sorry to hear you are going through this. We cannot answer individual medical questions online without being able to properly examine you, but generally, if PT doesn't help, sometimes surgery is inevitable. We cannot say for sure if that is your case, as we like to try physical therapy before injections or surgery.

    For inflammation? Best is a lot of rest and anti-inflammation pills.

    Hi Bob brad.. for the first time I felt lower back pain down to the big toe, numbness and tingling that got worse when sitting, but made walking and lying down the pain was reduced, for bending forward it was not painful, for looking up back it was a bit painful.
    It's been 2 years, it's not so painful, but it's still numb and overall,
    waking up in the morning and walking feels good, when starting activities and especially sitting, feels numb and tingling and now 2 feet
    what hurts in my back, and what should I do?

    I always refer my friends to your ibuprofen episode. Folks are so afraid of taking ibuprofen because of their liver. Well, I'm a sailor...the trick is to first pickle the liver with whiskey. That helps. C'mon. You gotta have humor. Back pain sucks.

    When ever I get active or move more than usually, like walking or going for a run my now chronic back pain gets way worse. It’s always there but gets worse when I’m active and breathe more heavily. Could if be inflammation??

    • @renel7303
      @renel7303 Год назад +1

      Heat can make inflammation worse. It makes the tissues expand. Cold reduces swelling plus numbs the pain for a while.

    • @BobandBrad
