So I guess what I learned is I don’t like this style of music, yet I’ve listened to it three times because I love the drum work in it with the subtle half beats here and there, and especially at about 3:30 Kalonica sort of pulls the arythmic mess together with what somehow makes the drums a melody instrument. That last 60 second is fascinating and took a lot of skill and cunning on Kalonica’s part to create I think.
That's another prove of Kalonica's professionalism, none like others!! She knows exactly how to play for youtube videos and doing live show for audience :-)
The drummer from Babymetal gets a full workout every show with a lot of 8/8 with occasional 3/4 beats. A truly superhuman effort but lacking the technique of Neil Peart or Jukka from Nightwish.
I‘m not too big a fan of BabyMetal, but it‘s a great experience seeing you cover it. … Did you move a couple of cymbals from the other drum set (the one in the Gibraltar rig) to the Tama for this?

You make it look SO easy . . . and here I thought the drummer in BabyMetal was over worked from what little I can see in concert footage.
