Great review I bought this keyboard since i wanted a mouse and keyboard to be shared between my office pc and personal laptop but dayum after watching this video found out that the mouse had 3 extra keys. Well informative review and keep up the good work.
Oh yes!! Thumb button also includes gesture controls for more “buttons” and the middle scroll wheel slides left and right for additional feature as well !! Thanks for stopping by
I'm onto my 3rd MK850 in about 5 years. Currently ordering my 3rd one now. On the first, the keyboard kept disconnecting. Then now the 2nd one, the alt key doesn't work half the time, and the mouse can't hold a click anymore. So I can't press and hold the mouse button while dragging a file etc. Brilliant keyboard, just wish it wouldn't break so often. It does collect dust, but what doesn't.
Yes sir, the entire combo appeals to me so much. Dedicated buttons for switching devices, instead of combo presses on the keyboard, and tilt scroll left and right on the middle scroll button of the mouse is also un-heard off. Can understand why you keep going back to it

Great video! I have two questions. Could the MK850 keyboard and mouse able to connect to the iPad (6th) generation? Any driver need to install to be used on the window 10 laptop?
Hey Alpha, Q1 - Yes, both can be connected via Bluetooth Q2 - No, it is a plug and play via the dongle, or you can opt to use Bluetooth (pair individually)

Hows the signal strength? Is it better than other Wireless combos? I can't find anything on internet about signal strenght of wireless keyboard/mouse. Please test the latency in different situations.
Yoooo, sorry I don’t have it with me right now. But from my past experience, it had no issues ! Instead I’m facing connectivity issues on my m1 Mac mini (prob the root cause) for many peripherals connected to it
Hi. Thanks for the video. How would you compare this keyboard to a mechanical keyboard like the Logitech G613 Wireless? Are there any distinct benefits of one over the other?
Hey Ronald, the G613 simply being a gaming mechanical keyboard have totally different features compared to the MK850 ! Lower response time, hotkeys on the left and mechanical switches... if you are really into gaming, the G613 at least is way way better than the MK850..
Ken great REVIEW. QUESTION after downloading Options it is still not easy to use , Dont know where the windows key is and the PrintScreen. can you help?
Hey Steve, sorry for the late reply. Windows Key sshould be easy to identify at the bottom left side. (One tile to the left of the Space bar) . Print Screen key is the “home” key labelled “SC - SCreenshot” Or you can customise it using Logitech’s Option app
Do you find that the num pad takes up space for the mouse and make it harder to use? I trying to find right setup to stop wrist, elbow, arm, shoulder pain when using computer... I recently returned it to try a different k380 keyboard and mx ergo mouse but the k380 keyboard buttons seem to small, I prefer the mk850 keyboard without the number pad cuz the mouse seems awkward... but could be just desk and chair issue
Yooooo sorry for the late late reply. Numpads are a blessing in disguise. Taking up way more space then intended. when I was using the mk850 back then it was OK for me probably because I have a larger desk don’t find it awkward. Since then I’ve changed to using a small form factor keyboard and never looked back
Hey NotKungFuBenny, easiest way for this is the USB extension cord (I believe in the box, it comes with it!) Unless you plan to place it FAR FAR across the room (
Hey Kazza, sorry for the late reply ! Er, no the MK850 features a membrane keyboard, so it's mushy typed, like a laptop fill, can definitely pick some audible sound and I wouldn't say it's SILENT, at all XD
Question: If I am not too interested in the Device Switching ability, can I re-bind that Mouse button to do something other than switching between devices?
Hey Jeremy, short answer no. But there are other buttons that you can remap other than the dedicated device switch button (it’s meant for that) . Even gestures controls too… but all thru Logitech’s app FLOW. not sure if you use other key binders since I haven’t tried it out.
Hey nice video! I am thinking of buying M720 but after I saw MX Master 3 I am not sure which one to purchase. How's your experience with MX720? It has a bigger edge on M720's sides, do they make your finger hurt?
Hey there, I’ve just recently picked up the MX Master3 and the grip is way bigger than the M720! I miss the horizontal scroll wheel clicks on the m720 but also love the mx master horizontal scroll (at the thumb) hahahha love hate basically
Hi Ken, Great Video 😀 Thanks a lot. I have a question please. Can i connect them with Bluetooth only without using the usb? I would like to use with mu surface pro5 that have only 1 usb hub and maybe connect with my phone. Would it be ok without any needing of usb at all? And how well of the response as is it very compatible when we linked btw notebook and the keyboard and mouse?
Hey there! Yes you can use them using Bluetooth only. Both the keyboard and mouse are bluetooth devices. The USB is defaulted as Device 1 for both. And for the response part, it depends on the Bluetooth connection (usb directly works better for connectivity for sure) so far it’s pretty ok with Bluetooth for me !
Hey there, holding “CTRL” and clicking files combines then individually. With “CTRL + SHIFT” it copies the entire row. The 1,2,3 on the mouse indicated the device it is currently connected to.
Coming from a Cherry Stream Keyboard I must say that the typing experience could be way better. I now try out a Cherry DW 9100 keyboard/mouse combo which is just less than € 20,00 more.
This is a very informative video with instructions that are soothing in a way! Question, how do you screenshot on this keyboard? I can't find information on it. Thank you
Great information! I bought this product after watching your video. QQ: How can I customize the customizable buttons of both mouse and keyboard for mobile phone?
Olá, o seu mouse M720 também fica oscilando o botão do scroll quando esta em modo livre? tipo se tivesse um ponto que o botão sempre gira sozinho para estabilizar...
Hey Davila, sorry I don't speak Portugese, but after google translating it: There is a button to turn On and Off HyperScroll Wheel feature (the middle button) so you can choose between single click scroll or hyperscrolling for long documents with a click. Hope that helps, let me know if you still have any questions! Happy to help~
Please help me make a purchase: I am considering a relatively cheaper model K375S as I already own a Razer wireless mouse. Can you please help me understand if this combo is worth its price (INR 6500)? and is it worth dumping my Razer Atheris mouse? Thanks in advance.
Hey Sukumar, I would say the MK850 is really a great combo deal. Both the K375s and the Razer Atheris are pretty old right ? For the keyboard, if you are not looking at a smaller sized keyboard then MK850’s Keebs are good. For your mouse, the razer’s latency is not too competitive also, changing to the m720 triathlon mouse won’t make a huge difference, i assume you are not a competitive gamer, if you are planning to get a better razer mouse for competitive gamer then consider your K375s!! Hope this helps a bit! If this purchase is for casual daily use, the MK850 is solid
@@kendidshoots Thanks for the info. I do game a bit but not too often and that is when I switch to 2.4ghz channel over bluetooth. There is no intension to change mouse anytime soon, I am pretty happy with the Atheris(compact and functional - gets the work done). The first set of batteries I got with the mouse are yet to die. Will check mk850 out. Thanks again.
Nice honest review Ken. I'm still thinking to get this keyboard for my workstation since I'm still partially working from home. Switching between my working laptop to my personal PC by using the same keyboard and mouse will definitely boost my productivity. I have subscribed so keep creating awesome content as always :)
hi ken, as you saw, there is like a wave design in the middle of the keyboard. Is useful and comfortable, or does that annoy you? Is the palm rest slippery, or is it comfortable? and can u take the palm rest off whenever you like?
Hey Sheng, 6:19 u mean? Yeah it’s built for ergonomics, and it’s pretty comfortable. Never really annoyed me. The mesh finish is not slippery, has like a “mesh” texture when you slide across it. Yes it’s doesn’t stick to your palms
@@kendidshoots Does the touch of the keys feel good? do they feel comfortable? My taste is that, the keys are not too clicky, but also not too flat, not a too quiet touch and just in the middle of clicky touch and silent touch. Does the touch of the keyboard feels the same to you (as what i mentioned above what my tastes were)?
It’s a membrane type keyboard, if you have used like thinkpad sort of keyboard it has a similar feel, ruclips.net/video/EbTO1eR8EKw/видео.html here’s an ASMR! I wouldn’t say it’s silent at all hahahha😂
Hey, great informative video, thank you! Can you tell me, if it‘s possible to scroll horizontal with the mouse? I want to buy this combo to use it with my MacBook and iPad and the horizontal scroll is quite important to switch between screens and applications. Would be great, if you can help me out :-)
Hey Phuong, glad you found this useful, the horizontal scroll wheel is by no means a replacement for hand gestures, I believe switching app (trackpad style) utilities two finger gesture right? Only the Magic Trackpad can achieve this function. On the keyboard you can still (CMD + TAB) to switch apps with ease The horizontal scroll only works with like excel sheets, premiere pro timeline, and some scroll function replacement~
I do agree that the physical part of the keyboard is fine. But I miss a lot of functions from a more conventional keyboard So if I don't find out how these functions can be implemented I will have to scrap the keyboard. It is very irritating that the manual does not include how to implement other functions. Screen copy, copy paste function windows key etc. On the surface a good product but not well documented. The producers focus on the ability to connect to more than one computer and leaves everything else out.
@@gialphalive oh wow that’s great news! I just realised that on my work laptop I’m connected to a VPN but couldn’t install Flow on company laptops due to restrictions. So yeah! Thanks for the good info
Hi there... I was curious if the mouse and the keyboard "device select" buttons worked 1) independently or in 2) tandem. What I mean by this is: if I am connected to more than 1 device, and 1) I press "DEVICE 2" on the keyboard will both the mouse and the keyboard switch over to "DEVICE 2"? Or 2) would I need to switch them both over independently? In other words... I would need to press "DEVICE 2" button on keyboard and "DEVICE 2" button on the mouse as well, if I wanted to switch both to "DEVICE 2"?
@@kendidshoots Thank you for the response. But after purchasing and receiving the Logitech MK850 Keyboard and Mouse Combo, *that is NOT my experience.* One needs to switch each device independently. I don't know how you experience something different, or if you have additional software installed to aid this (or have a different version of MK850). Further feedback on the keyboard is that it does NOT always connect successfully or speedily to the device(s) connected by Bluetooth (sometimes requiring me to turn off and on again the BT on that device, and manually re-connect to keyboard and mouse when trying to switch). The keyboard does NOT feature a "context key" (usually between the RHS ctrl+alt keys) - which is really annoying. The Functions Keys are not "grouped" or split into groups of 4 - like most keyboards. Finally the last complaint I have about this device is that the keyboard also does NOT have a NUM LOCK indicator. Do I have any positive feedback? Yes. The keyboard is constructed from good material, the palm rest is comfortable, and the height/tilt feet conveniently offer two (plus default/none) different angles. The two mouse scroll options (controlled mechanically by button on top of mouse) are odd - some may like it.
Hey Felipe, I am not sure about it, but I don’t think you need a unifying dongle just to connect to this keyboard. Instead, if you pc or device doesn’t have Bluetooth, just get a Bluetooth dongle and pair it. The Unifying dongle is meant to connect multiple Logitech devices into a single dongle instead of 2, or 3 dongle just for peripherals
I'm surprise you didn't include the "battery" on your dislike part. with todays standard most cheap competitor put a rechargeable battery on it which can be charged by USB cable. battery last up to an average of 20 days of continues usage. and since it can be charged with USB cable, it won't interrupt you if it does goes off at the middle of your work coz you can connect it to USB while using it. I believe this model needs an upgrade. I really like the easy switch to different devices. that's the reason why I came here after seeing this on lazada. but the battery is giving me doubt. I'm not a a fan of 2A 3A batteries.
Hey James, battery being easily replaceable is always an advantage for me. Rest assured than battery has higher charge capacity around 1,200-2000 maH per battery. So it's doubled when used. It's true that being able to use keyboard whilst charging is useful, but you do get a battery warning indication when you are using it a low battery. AA batteries should be easily accessible everywhere, you might even have a spare at your house. Agreed that the standard nowadays should have built in battery as well as an option to use batteries. Solves the issue here. And BTW, consider rechargeable AA batteries XD Thanks for writing, appreciate your thoughts
Hey Shivadas.. yes the keyboard has Mac Layout printed.. pretty friendly, gestures and shortcuts follows the layout. Be sure to install Logitech Options to fully utliize it~
Hi ken.i have one computer with bluetooth connection and another without bluetooth. So is there a keyboard that can help me use it with two computer devices with only one keyboard? I want to combine them to make work easier
Hi Lam, you can use the USB dongle that comes included with K850 for your computer without bluetooth. For the other computer, pair of bluetooth on both the keyboard and mouse. 👌🏼👌🏼
@@lamkhanh2724 sure ! Hopefully from here we can sort it out . Device 1: USB dongle goes to the PC without Bluetooth Device 2: 1. Turn on Bluetooth on the PC from your settings 2. Let me know if you still face any problem !
Hey Anil, will highly not recommend this for gaming coz it's not meant to be a gaming mouse XD rather your everyday browsing, casual mouse. Bluetooth connection on Windows is pretty Good, however on the M1 Macs, suffers a little bit of stutter here and there.
@@AnilKumar-lf5jt there should be a reason why Razer or Logitech G series, Steel Series have their own line up for gaming mouse. Have to do with Polling rate, DPI sensitivity, and also hot keys for in game. The MK850 is not designed for gaming but for overall everyday use, I mean you can “technically” still use it for casual gaming but don’t expect it to be super good 🤣
@@kendidshoots I was wondering if I could get the job done with a single mouse for both the use cases. Gaming mouse do seem aesthetic, but the side buttons seem to do the same job. I dunno if its just a business point of view to have two different lineups, or practically as well. I understand any mouse will do for casual gaming, but for FPS, it seems a bit tricky...
@@AnilKumar-lf5jt yeah for sure, it will get the job done.. but how well does it perform doing its job, if you care about gaming seriously then MK850 probably wont cut it? but if its an all rounder everything mouse, it is fantastic!
Thank you for the video, I like everything about the keyboard but I have one big challenge: Frequently, I forget to switch the keyboard and find myself typing in the wrong computer. What solution do you suggest for this issue other than training myself to press the switch buttons before typing?
Hey Adam, sorry for the super long delayed response. Mmm, if you have the chance to install FLOW, you can move the cursor to the next device and the keyboard will switch over to whichever device your moue is connected (need to toggle some settings in FLOW.app) try it out maybe it'll solve your problem ~!
Hi Ken - thanks for the video 👍 I have got myself one but the keys especially, tab, shift (left), caps lock are very mushy and don't feel/sound the click which keyboards usually do. I am wondering whether this is a defect with the one I have purchased or its generally so. Please can you shed some light on this ? Thanks.
Hey man, thanks for stopping by. Yeah the left side keys are mushy. Membrane typed. If it responds to the key press it should be fine ! Great you found this video helpful! Thanks for stopping by
Hey there, can you give me more information to help troubleshoot? Does the mouse have batteries? Does the mouse have any LED ONs when you turn on? Can the mouse connect to other devices other than the Mac? Did you try the the correct pairing method? Long press on bluetooth button and pair on your device?
@@kendidshoots yes, it has batteries. The LED light blinks on both the keyboard and the mouse when I pair. But, once I pair to my computer, the keyboard works, but the mouse will not. I can connect the keyboard to my phone using the "2" key, but the mouse will not work for that either. The number 1 on the mouse is blinking, but it's not working. thank you for replying!

I love this review, I actually bought today my 3rd M720 mouse, I have the 4th in a packaging, waiting for 2025-2027 because as much as I LOVE that mouse! to DEATH for my productivity (nongamer) The lifespan of the click is approx 10M clicks which in 2.5 years almost like clockwork starts misfiring, then I have the Logitech MK345 which I like but the space bar is getting a bit loosy goosy, so I am trying to see if im replacing it with just another MK345 or if MK850 Performance would be the replacement. The Mesh armrest is putting me off though, the MK345 has a plastic armrest, no need to brush it monthly.. It's a tough one, but the review is good thank you =)
I bought one, and I am very satisfied. It is very good to see that it kept the quality after 1.5 year of use. Previously, I had the Microsoft Designer bluetooth and keyboard, and I am thinking this MK850 from Logitech is superior and cheaper. Thanks for the review!
Hey Fabiano, yes ! It has hold up for about 2years now ! All still very functional ! The mouse tho has insane value in this combo in my opinion! Thanks for stopping by 🥺
@@kendidshoots I totally agree, this mouse is awesome! I have just tested the Flow feature from Logi Options app, and it works very well. The best for me is that you can replace the same mouse as it is bluetooth and it also connects with the unifying dongle. For me, Logitech is winning the device race against others by bringing high quality products at a competitive price. I quit buying Microsoft devices for now. :) Keep posting! Thanks!
@Fabiano Simões yes ! Unifiying dongle is OP! I gave away my K850 keyboard to someone that has a MX Anywhere 2S. Hey there, the keyboard is a membrane type keyboard, slightly mushy but audible, the clicks on the mouse is also pretty audible. No means a silent combo 😂 (Thanks for stopping by !!)
Hey Janik, if you are using FLOW, there is an option to automatically switch keyboard connections to your other device when you move your mouse from device 1 to device 2. There's some customization settings in Logitech Options. Normally I manually switch them~
Hi @@kendidshoots, I am wondering if this set would fit to my needs. I would use it with my private and company provided laptop. On my company provided laptop strict policies are in place.
Since then I’ve changed to using a small form factor keyboard and never looked back
Love the video..! But im looking for one that .. lets say reaches across the room.. with no disruptions or delays.. think it’ll do the trick?
Hey NotKungFuBenny, easiest way for this is the USB extension cord (I believe in the box, it comes with it!) Unless you plan to place it FAR FAR across the room (
Hi, thanks for your review. Could you please let me know if the MK850 has silent keys?

How do I use the Ctrl or Shift keys to mark multiple files etc, it doesn't seem to do anything? do you know what the 1,2,3 on mouse do ? thanks again
Hey there, holding “CTRL” and clicking files combines then individually. With “CTRL + SHIFT” it copies the entire row.
The 1,2,3 on the mouse indicated the device it is currently connected to.
Hello, does the keyboard have the backlight feature?

Is there a lag while using the Bluetooth mode compared to the RF receiver that the combo comes with ?
Hey there! All good using in Bluetooth mode on windows !!
When my computer's in sleep, it takes like a few seconds for my keyboard to connect to the dongle and wake up my pc. Is that ideal ?
Yeah it’s normal for energy saving reasons . 1-2s at least.
The numpad doesn't work on Mac, but perfectly fine when paired to Windows PC. Do you have the same issue, or do I have a defect product? Thanks.
Great information! I bought this product after watching your video. QQ: How can I customize the customizable buttons of both mouse and keyboard for mobile phone?
Do you know which model would be a direct upgrade for a Logitech K740/Logitech Y-UY95 ?
Olá, o seu mouse M720 também fica oscilando o botão do scroll quando esta em modo livre? tipo se tivesse um ponto que o botão sempre gira sozinho para estabilizar...
Hey Davila, sorry I don't speak Portugese, but after google translating it:
There is a button to turn On and Off HyperScroll Wheel feature (the middle button) so you can choose between single click scroll or hyperscrolling for long documents with a click.
Will check mk850 out.

hi ken, as you saw, there is like a wave design in the middle of the keyboard.
@@kendidshoots Is the keyboard clicky?
@@shengzhan918 hahaha. It’s sticky I would say. Clicky means mechanical keyboard level
On the keyboard you can still (CMD + TAB) to switch apps with ease
The horizontal scroll only works with like excel sheets, premiere pro timeline, and some scroll function replacement~
Did you try running the flow software on one pc having vpn and other not but both are connected on same wifi router

Hi there... I was curious if the mouse and the keyboard "device select" buttons worked 1) independently or in 2) tandem.
What I mean by this is: if I am connected to more than 1 device, and
1) I press "DEVICE 2" on the keyboard will both the mouse and the keyboard switch over to "DEVICE 2"?
Or
2) would I need to switch them both over independently?
In other words... I would need to press "DEVICE 2" button on keyboard and "DEVICE 2" button on the mouse as well, if I wanted to switch both to "DEVICE 2"?
Hey there sorry late reply.
It automatically switches when pressing device 2. both mouse and the keyboard will switch together.
Can I use 3 USB dongles (unyfing) for each of the buttons? Instead of bluetooth?
Hey Felipe, I am not sure about it, but I don’t think you need a unifying dongle just to connect to this keyboard. Instead, if you pc or device doesn’t have Bluetooth, just get a Bluetooth dongle and pair it.
The Unifying dongle is meant to connect multiple Logitech devices into a single dongle instead of 2, or 3 dongle just for peripherals
Very informative 👍
Thanks man !!
And BTW, consider rechargeable AA batteries XD
Thanks for writing, appreciate your thoughts
isn't the battery life here rated for a couple years and not days already?
@@AnilKumar-lf5jt it is, the batteries last at least 1-2 years. Rechargable mouses like the MX Master 3, chews thru battery around 90days ish

How is the latency when connected over bluetooth? Is is good for FPS gaming?
Hey Anil, will highly not recommend this for gaming coz it's not meant to be a gaming mouse XD rather your everyday browsing, casual mouse. Bluetooth connection on Windows is pretty Good, however on the M1 Macs, suffers a little bit of stutter here and there.
@@kendidshoots Curious, why aren't these mice not suitable for gaming?
@@AnilKumar-lf5jt there should be a reason why Razer or Logitech G series, Steel Series have their own line up for gaming mouse. Have to do with Polling rate, DPI sensitivity, and also hot keys for in game. The MK850 is not designed for gaming but for overall everyday use, I mean you can “technically” still use it for casual gaming but don’t expect it to be super good 🤣

and the LAG?
Minimal, most lags that I experience is from the m1 silicon problem from the very beginning .
You are great, but you talk faster than most. Had to keep going back and Re listening. Do you miss a backlight? Most importantly, HOW in the world do I connect the keyboard and mouse? I switch to MacBook Air December 2021, have had world war ever since. First, MK850 didn't support IOS. Took it back, advised to switch to 850 that DOES include it. Another $50 and still won't connect via receiver. Please help. I'm a writer & haven't produced a thing since these switches. If you'll let me know, I'll give you my phone #.
Hey Denna, think I replied to you on your other comment. Yes I miss backlight on the keyboard but most of the time I have a monitor lamp to help with that. MK850 does support windows and Mac. Refer below.

buggy shit, the keyboard constantly sticks until you restart Logitech Options.
Hey there! Option just allows for customisation and extended feature to “FLOW” which is indeed buggy. But the hardware on itself is solid
I'm so over this connection between my other devices.
Oh no, what's up with your connections?
good review but if your going to speak remove the stupid music i found it hard to understand you
The music is so loud it's hard to understand him!
I bought two of these keyboards today neither one works. The instructions either don’t work or the batteries are dead. The button on the keyboard 1, 2 or three will not light up. This is such a crap product
Sorry to hear that, is it turned on? 🤣
if it’s manufacture defect, see if you can get a refund.
@@kendidshoots The keyboard automatically turns on when the buffer between the batteries and the metal contact is pulled out. Yes I pulled the battery buffer out. I bought this keyboard and set it up on another computer 60 days ago no problem. This time bought 2 keyboards neither work if using the instructions in the box. Calling Tech support Monday when they open and will discover what they changed to sync product.
@@oceanblue22 Did you pair Mouse #1 with with keyboard white key #1. Just set mine up
@@jmb5706 None of the numerical lights 1 2 three will light up to even attempt to pair the mouse with the keyboard. It doesn’t matter how long you hold them down they will not light up. I’m calling tech-support tomorrow morning when they open no doubt they have new instructions
