You don't have to remember it all at once. Pick one role and play through a couple times. Youll learn it pretty quickly. Then if you want to do other roles, then come back and learn that one. You'd be surprised you won't forget as much as you think when you do a different job
The brain can only hold 3-4 new major topics in your recent memory. So it's not really your fault. As others have said, just play through once or twice. Watching some current videos really help.

Or even better, read and watch Captain Cain's tutorial, who's located in the room near the bank chest. Without any experience in the minigame, this guide hardly makes sense. It's better as tips for people who've already played the minigame.
This video is fine if you've tried it a couple times and understand the overall flow and goal of the minigame. But he doesn't include a general overview of how the game plays out, so it's way too technical if you haven't given it a go yourself yet.

Theoatrix OSRS please consider making mobile guides for those that can’t use 3rd party clients for the more difficult content so like idk doing tob with no add on active to see what it looks like. Just a suggestion I’m not entirely sure on how one would go about it but love your vids I have both apps very useful to me
I was just like the ppl that think that BA is too much to remember, confusing, etc. My advice is to just dive in. Forget those teammates that talk down on you for not knowing what to do. Once you ease into the game, these guides make much more sense to help you get better. I went from being hopeless to getting a torso in like 4 hours. Good luck all

@@cjpk6843If you get FT early enough, you will actually have it for a long time. Equipment upgrades get really expensive after dragon/obsidian, and a Bandos Chestplate can easily be the last thing you will get before working towards Torva, since you can spend gp on everything else first, especially weapons and jewelry. I think most end-game content is probably doable with a FT, provided you have the optimal gear setup, so there's not much pressure to upgrade once you get one.

This is your first guide I'd call bad. You glanced over a lot of things and made reference to terms with explaining them. There was also no mention of a recommended level.
I like to think that I know BA fairly decently, but there's still a lot of useful information and optimisations in this guide that I didn't know, especially on Defender & Healer, so thank you! You and the guys from Casual BA and BA Boosts are awesome. I actively play it simply for fun and High Gambles now because I've done pretty much everything else in the minigame. Torso & Level 5 all wasn't remotely as bad as folk tend to say. So if you're still a bit apprehensive about jumping in to BA, don't be. No one expects you to be perfect first time through, and as long as you watch a guide and want to learn, more experienced players will happily show the ropes more as you go.

Also if you're a pure which a lot of people are then getting carried is more practical. The game doesn't get fun til you hit 5s in roles and can start playing within clans that play for fun

In what world is 1-tick egging a beginners strategy? I think the guide should be renamed to an intermediate guide and make a new simpler version for actual beginners.
Can't wrap my head around this, all I remember last time as attacker was spending several hours trying to get on a team that would commit to the queen with most having flakes when it got hard and going back to square 1. Bandos Chest plate is way cheaper than boosting for the torso, the quote I got at the time in 2021 for a queen kill boost was 10M, who knows what it is now.

I'm brand new to this minigame, not gonna lie, not particularly beginner friendly. You didn't explain what each of the monsters actually do or what they look like - what does a ranger do? What does a ranger look like? Instead you go into an explanation about animation stalling and "one-egging" the boss and stuff, which prooooobably isn't beginner friendly. The role guide was very useful though, thanks!
This is a really good guide, and new players should focus on just learning one role at a time. the game is really easy, but only if you do your job properly. I found a good crew to grind my torso with and was getting consistent 19 minute games. also your defender guide is off the chain, i was amazed at how easily you can stack up an entire wave of runners and chop em all in one hit

You talk too fast... Rewatched 3 times for each role and the queen. There is so much information that i think il be better of without that torso and hard diary...
The best way to learn is to start with attacker then healer or collector next. Learn defender very last. It's all confusing... but if you just jump in and learn each role it it will get easier. 2 weeks ago this guide did not make any sense... now that I have played every role this mini game is actually fun. If your only doing it for fighter torso... you might as well just level up all roles to level 5 or else you will eventually have to come back months later and try to remember each role for when you need to do the dairy.

"Give it a try" was what I thought last Christmas. Then the minigame and its wonderful community pulled me in... Hope you have as much fun as I did! :D
Not gonna lie...middle school me had a lot of fun playing this and specialized as a defender (which most people hated back then). I'm not really sure what all the fuss was about--you just had to communicate as soon as it changed. Plus, you could lure with incorrect food to a certain extent until you got the right food. I typically dropped one of each food to see what was correct so that way I could play even with a healer that didn't communicate.
Most of the anxiety from this is from other players saying its horrible.. its one of the few minigames which is super active. Have fun and enjoy it, its literally what we love about OSRS, you'll make friends laugh, cry and then leave with some cool armour pieces.
Nah, the anxiety comes from there being so much you need to know in order to play it right, requiring a few games of you learning, messing up 4 others peoples games in the process.

Just pay people to leech a few games until you get Kandarin hard completed. The elite diary isn't that useful unless you do tons of clue scrolls.

KayEffinGreez 40 def and 50 range is what I’d recommend, but it’s dependant on your team.

I've completed all roles but the defender one, went one round being a defender, failed miserably, never touched barmarian assault again. Still rocking the obi top
10:30 is confusing. You say "drop 4 food", screen says "drop 4 good food", but you actually drop "1 bad food". Which is it?
Barbarian assult is so fun. Thanks to this guide I knew exactly what to do and did a perfect defense run getting 400 points at once. Thanks a lot.

Not to flex or anything, but I'm decent at BA. Not your guy's levels, but decent. But playing with randoms can really make a run a struggle

I'm brand new to this minigame, not gonna lie, not particularly beginner friendly. You didn't explain what each of the monsters actually do or what they look like - what does a ranger do? What does a ranger look like? Instead you go into an explanation about animation stalling and "one-egging" the boss and stuff, which prooooobably isn't beginner friendly. The role guide was very useful though, thanks!

This is a really good guide, and new players should focus on just learning one role at a time. the game is really easy, but only if you do your job properly. I found a good crew to grind my torso with and was getting consistent 19 minute games.
also your defender guide is off the chain, i was amazed at how easily you can stack up an entire wave of runners and chop em all in one hit

The best way to learn is to start with attacker then healer or collector next. Learn defender very last. It's all confusing... but if you just jump in and learn each role it it will get easier. 2 weeks ago this guide did not make any sense... now that I have played every role this mini game is actually fun. If your only doing it for fighter torso... you might as well just level up all roles to level 5 or else you will eventually have to come back months later and try to remember each role for when you need to do the dairy.
What is considered low level? Am I going to be fine on a 70 cb iron?

Not gonna lie...middle school me had a lot of fun playing this and specialized as a defender (which most people hated back then). I'm not really sure what all the fuss was about--you just had to communicate as soon as it changed. Plus, you could lure with incorrect food to a certain extent until you got the right food. I typically dropped one of each food to see what was correct so that way I could play even with a healer that didn't communicate.
This game plays like a fever dream
Most of the anxiety from this is from other players saying its horrible.. its one of the few minigames which is super active. Have fun and enjoy it, its literally what we love about OSRS, you'll make friends laugh, cry and then leave with some cool armour pieces.
Nah, the anxiety comes from there being so much you need to know in order to play it right, requiring a few games of you learning, messing up 4 others peoples games in the process.
The anxiety comes from grown ass men crying that not every game goes 100% perfectly and leaving before wave 10

pro tip, be willing to play whatever role is available, it already takes time to find parties being picky wont speed anything up
