I actually think she'll do better against Trump than Pence. She's not particularly inspiring when talking about abstract policy, but does much better when things get more concrete and personal. I think that sets her up much better for a referendum on trump, the man.

Educated people can state their opinion in just a few well-chosen words. Most Republicans have what they call "talking points." If you know what they are you needn't even think of an answer. All Democrats need to do is to say what went wrong: forest fires, floods, hurricanes, people without health care, huge numbers of dead Americans, inept policies in an epidemic, poor administration, a tax cheating, greedy secretive President and his family, a party that talks democracy and the American constitution and acts as though they never heard of it and a whole lot more.

Well, you really can't solve the countries issues in a debate regardless of how long the debate answers last. The reality is that the issues can only be resolved with some old fashioned back room meetings that don't end up on social media, with some actual compromise from both sides. Probably won't happen though.

With the Trump and Biden debate, stopping them on the dot is needed because Trump is one to go on and on and on without stopping.
With this debate, it's much more civilized so giving them time to finish their sentence after the 2 minute limit is important to get their point across...however, they do at times go on for too long which is rude.

Her only interview, 20 minutes, and she had no answers, they asked her why she hasn’t done anything in the last 4 years and she brought up her grandmas grocery receipt being expensive when under her administration food has been the most expensive We’ve ever seen, she lied about trump not capping insulin at 35$. She was also called out on where she’s from and she avoided the question because it would result in asking about her Marxist father which is a fact.

I’m not talking about the fly thing because that’s stupid but Pence did a way better job at outlining his points against Kaine. In this one, Pence could not formulate his points properly. Pence is one of the better debaters in the Republican side rn so he didn’t lose his composure but Kamala is an expert at debating.

At least 3 minutes. They spend most of their 2 minutes just saying thank you for the question and complimenting it. 2 minutes isn't really enough time to phrase a solid answer to most of those questions that do require some details.
Not 5 minutes, but if they are giving a long answer they shouldn’t be stopped unless it goes to long., so the other candidate gets a chance to respond

You know if they just gave them 3 minutes instead 2 they could actually finish talking without the annoying moderator interrupting.
Then they would fill 3 minutes and go over time. That's just how this format works; more time is more likely to get your point across. They'll take all the time allowed and than some.
you must really like propaganda. Kamala was able to keep to the time guidelines while Pence could not as he was reciting garbage that he has memorized to fool people and he could not adapt and stay within the time frames.

Pence was limited to 15 seconds because he had already talked far past his allotted time. I had to endure him as my congressman and governor. He was terrible at both.

With all that has gone on just this year to only have 2 mins is rediculs. It's just that way so they can have sound bits. Honestly a true political decision on what u want to do, what u have done and why the other party is bad could take hours and it used to. The hard truth is each of these should be 3 questions over the course of three hours with 20 mins to awnser uninterrupted then 10 min rebudle at the end of each person's turn. Have that formats for three debates with a total of nine questions three each debate and then we can get a real picture of what's going on. The democratic Govenors who shut down their States created economic decline not the virus. It was a choice where better than 99.7% or people survive just fine under age of 65 and 96.70 over 70. Not pushing COVID patients into nursing homes would have made that an even high survival rate for those over 70. Economic downturn was avoidable. We are already substantially on the way up.

During communism in our country, we were very ofter queueing for toilet paper in front of the shop. It was very often not available in the shops. We were using newspaper cut into squares. They DO need more time. At lease 3 and a half to 5 minutes. Per question and per response. They should also have a mic button to turn them off as soon as their time is up. They should also get at least 3 "lifelines" not to call someone but to have an extra few minutes to respond.
They could also do a debate instead of an interview. In debates the interlocuters ask each other questions... and answer them.

Or maybe a standard allotment of ~3minutes + an extra 45minutes that each candidate is allowed to use throughout the debate at their own discretion? So when the entire 45minutes has been used up they are only allowed to speak for 3minutes per question? (then we could use that 45minutes to penalize a candidate for interrupting by taking away 2minutes if their is cross-talk)

why has nobody covered the fact that people who die of heart attacks, liver failure etc. are marked down as covid deaths if they have the covid virus even though it is completely unrelated... And the payout for the hospital is a lot more for "covid deaths"
The way a nurse explained it to me was that the fact that people contracted covid exacerbated the other pre existing issue and had it not been for covid, they may not have had a heart attack etc. Im no dr or nurse so I'm not sure if its true but it makes sense to me
