  • We've all seen & known the beautiful aesthetic gooseneck kettle that most brewers use to make coffee. In this videi we're going to discuss why that happens, is the kettle really needed, and if it is really worth it if you're starting out.

Could you please explain what difference will not disturbing the coffee bed have on an aeropress since we're going to stir it anyway?

I personally don't use a gooseneck kettle for an Aeropress even if I have one at home. To be very honest, since the Aeropress is an immersion brewing method, you won't really need a gooseneck kettle and a kettle like the Stagg ekg might just have a problem of being too slow in some cases. The only real use for a gooseneck kettle is when you're brewing a pour over. Hope this helps.
