@@chrisrockett5897 I disagree. His message is pretty overtly base & simple. Exactly! Heavy emphasis on the "magically find happiness" TP will have 2 mfs that clearly shouldn't be in a room, happy with each other 30 seconds later
A large portion of Tyler Perry's success is due to his actors. He has to pay them well because his projects would not be as successful if they were not exceptional.
How did you mention Acrimony without mentioning that Terrible ending ?
When she got hooked to that anchor, I checked out from Tyler Perry completely
Couldn't get past her not having sense to take that 10 million and leave😂
@@ddconwaysnostalgiclounge & that part!
Wish some of my ex's would pay $10m after they didn't want me anymore. I'll be hurt but lawd knows I'll move on.
1:36 When you see Blair Underwood in a movie a 304 getting smacked 😂😂😂😂
Acrimony😆 and I didn't even give Divorce in the Black a chance, good to know that I was right.
Lol
Idk why Im just now getting the notification for this video when you posted this hours ago,but soon as I get home Im tuning in😂😂
@@DeauntesSpot lmao enjoy bro😂🙏🏾
I’m happy to see you doing what you love! Keep up the good work!
Damn thank you for the money 😂💯❤️and support❤️
Alex Cross had me heated. Why did he think he should be the lead? Better yet, WHO thought that?
I’m happy you acknowledge he still is a legend.
Some would argue, but I won't deny it. Have to give him his flowers for sure.
I Thought Tyler Perry’s Divorce In The Black Was Good Not Trash at All ❤😂😂😂
The worst Tyler Perry movies? All of them except For Colored Girls!
I'm glad I'm not the only person that HATED that dang movie!
Top 5 Worst?? You mean of all them.
Lmao he has a few good ones😂might have to make a video on them
@@ddconwaysnostalgiclounge
His early plays were better.
This is the first video I’m watching from you and the intro is KILLING me😭
Intro fye as hell😂
Random thing but who taught y'all Memphis dudes how to roast because something is not right with you at all 😂😂😂😂😂
All of his movies suck. It’s hard to pick the worst one 😂
After seeing your last vid, I was waiting for you to cover ACRIMONY!!
Me too haha!
Also with a dark skinned black man...
I mean he was good in the supporting role in gone girl, he has potential but he needs better direction, his best movies were “why did I get married” and “the family that preys”
I would say those two and Good Deeds. Love the thumbnail. 💜
The Tyler Perry movie with Kelly Rowland is just as bad as Divorce in the Black to me it should be on this list
I finally finished this whole video & I just gotta say Mea Culpa shoulda been on here fasho😂😂 & I agree with you about Divorce In The Black im goin in on that bs tmmrw😴
😂💯if it's anything like divorce in black then I might not get through the whole thing 😂. Can't wait to watch your vid bro 💯
@@ddconwaysnostalgiclounge I appreciate you bro💪🏾💯You funny as hell keep it up fam🔥
I am over his movies.
Mea Culpa is definitely an honorable mention

He's supposed to be a young Morgan Freeman from the GOOD movies "Kiss the Girls" & "Along Came a Spider" - I was like Yeah, Right! lol
TP was a good writer early on, but between 2014 and 2017, his work started falling off. By 2018, you could tell that he was getting really complacent and lazy.
Double Toasted have some of my favorite reviews of tyler perry films. The 3rd act of Acrimony had me crying with how crazy she gets.
And no, Tyler perry has no reason to change although I wish he would. He has his own film lot, man is pure money at this point
Dallas was the funniest part of the last movie from end to end with every scene he was in. 😂
That awful Ike Turner hairdo
My dad literally mentioned the exact same thing you’re saying mainly about the portrayal of dark skin men
I figured out almost immediately that his movies were not for me. Watched like his first 3 or 4 movies because people kept swearing they were good. I know better now. I refuse to ever watch another one.
Every Tyler Perry movie the dark skin guy is the villain.. No matter how handsome the man is
Please do the movie “A Thousand and One” not a Tyler Perry movie, but it’s interesting yet confusing
I still love his movies but time to time it's becoming the same formula and traits Divorce in Black movie the same thing over and over again even my friends doesn't like it
Oh my goodness I so agree with you, but there’s one other movie. I think it’s the Madea funeral or something and the guy just kept saying, my daddy just died, my daddy just died, my daddy just died what don’t you understand and I was like oh my goodness how many times is he going to say that line lol and that movie divorced in the black that funeral scene was stupid and I didn’t like how all of a sudden all his movies have so much cursing in it and Megan is not the actress that is known to curse she sounded so stupid lol
Witness protection and madea Christmas should be on this list too
I personally hate when people say the husband in acrimony was wrong. Yes he did some fucked up shit in the past but he tried to make it right but she still wanted a divorce. Even after he gave her money. He didn’t owe her anything else after that.
The number 1 plot of a movie directed to black women and gay men is to make heterosexual black men into villains .
You know i just really noticed that charles in diary of a mad black women was dark skinned and orlando was light skinned .... Brenda baby daddy in meet the browns was dark skinned .. rick fox was more on the yella side. Now that I pay attention I see the pattern.
lol I promise you can find something the more and more you keep watching them lol. Go back and rewatch them!
Great video! But why are we so critical of a producer like Perry for the film adaptation of the stereotypes & tropes that we willing live through & make jokes of in our communities?? All he’s doing is making a movie, obviously from his creative perspective, about situations that exist.
Yeah, but his movies don't make the audience think or force people to get outside of those stereotypes. It's just junk food.
@@chrisrockett5897 I disagree. His message is pretty overtly base & simple. Love family, be kind, follow God & you’ll be triumphant over the wicked💯 & this is expressed at the end of all of his films as the good always wins & the wicked is left crippled. He approaches this in a comedic way but it doesn’t change. But if you feel like it’s “junk food” you must feel like that for 90% of films ever made, if you can’t find the message in them then I wouldn’t doubt it’s nothing but junk to u.
@@justheretocomment5374 I get that same message for a majority of his films though, and the only ones I liked without too much irony were Daddy's Little Girls. Maybe a bit of I Can Do Bad All By Myself on the side as well as Good Deeds, but that's about it.
@@chrisrockett5897 then u just must be a tough critic. I personally like his movies, it’s just weird when ppl make it seem as if he’s the cause for the stereotypes that’s already perpetuated in our communities. Like the dark skin being the “villain” while the light skin is seen as the “hero” but in the blk community we joke about a light skin being soft or weak. How many times have you’ve heard someone say “stop acting light skin” ie sensitive/soft. Perry use that to his advantage bc dark skins with money, power & bald is more believable for the villain role. A huge part of film is get the best person for the role for believability.
I love the intro song. Whats the name of the song and artist?
W video. You should do a part 2 to this. 👍
The SpongeBob and cut her off gifs took me out. His plays are way better than the movies. His movies are more miss than hit at this point. “Diary of a Mad Black woman” is still one of his best.
Subscribing… couldn’t get 5 min in & my chest hurts!! Plzzzz more of these!!! 😂😂😂😂
First video I’ve seen of yours and I had to subscribe! I love it!
I'm just here for your lovely Southern accent ❤
Anyone know the intro song?
