Whatever Paul puts out I just give it a stright thumbs up because I know after all these years watching him it's worth a thumbs up even before the video starts
Always amazes me those old buildings have been through how many storms over the years and their still sanding yet modern builds come crashing down from least wee thing.
Thank you Paul. Love how you take the time to focus on the display boards and signs too - love learning about the history of monastic buildings and their change of use.
I been here loads of times never seen anything spooky.. having said that my dog who is no longer with us wouldnt go anywhere near the ruins or near the beach it was almost like he could sense something. Not like him at all as he loved his walks.. not far from where i live cannot wait to watch so excited.
Love these sort of videos My mind starts whirling, who lived there, what were they doing, what were they wearing etc I love history ♥️ I thank my history teacher, he was really good at telling stories and my imagination was hooked xx
When you came though the door at 10:12, you sounded like a professional television presenter. 😊 I'm enjoying the expansion into exploring ruins, they can be very interesting to look around at. Shame we didn't see any ghosts
These type of videos are some of my favourite. Those places always give me goosebumps, they seem to have strange aromas too! Super drone footage to boot! Thanks lovely 🤗 Xxx
An amazing abbey love the archways and tunnels I must admit these places make me curious of who lived there and what it was like interesting thankyou ❤️😊
Know Netley well. My grandmother lived in the village for years and we visited frequently. The Abbey is stunning and I always loved visiting. Thanks for the trip down memory lane x
Love these visits. Such a beautiful atmospheric place! Even my spidey -senses were tingling from the other side of the planet!! Drone footage the icing on the cake! Thank you 🙏🏼 😊
Hello Paul, as usual, a very interesting video it’s nice to see old relics looked after so well you commented you like this sort of thing perhaps you ought to visit Conway Castle in Wales I think it will be right up your street
Thanks Paul, Netley Abbey looks in good condition. I think I went there in the 60's, but haven't been since. Must go and check it out. Can't say I saw anything extraordinary on the film. Glad the weather was so good for you. No wet feet today! 😄
Great video Paul the drone photography looked amazing, I really enjoyed it. There were a few heavenly bods about, from a noble chappie to a few monks. Keep smiling 👻👻👻
Thank you once again Paul for another fascinating video! I find your enthusiasm for these places so inspiring and you make me feel like I’m actually there with you! X
Paul, if you ever feel like you’re seeing something in the corner of your eye. Clear your mind by singing a song or thinking of something different than the situation you’re in and you may actually see something.
Great video. Been here loads as a kid as used to live near. When i was a cub we used to go here for seminars. Also used to play here when i was younger. Lots of stories used to be told about the place. The hole you looked down with the grid over is meant to be a tunnel that goes to netley castle on the sea front and also to the chuch up the road. People have said that down the tunnel, if you went down there that things were thrown at you by the spirts of the monks. Apparently protecting gold that was hidden down there when the churches/Abbey's were being dissolved by king VIII. As well as storied of the grey lady. Great video and well presented showing what a beautiful place it is.
This was unexpected I have seen this before Paul it’s massive I can’t get over how well the grass is kept it looks like it’s been carpeted amazing place thankyou Paul ❤️😊👍🏻
As you know, I live in Southampton, but have never been to Netley Abbey. Would have loved to see it in Tudor times (am a bit of a Tudor fan). My late partner and I went to Glastonbury once. One of the abbey guides told us that he sees monks all the time, unfortunately we didn't get to see any when we were there.😢
What a lovely place! I was wishing I could visit ..bit of a journey from the East Midlands. Then I looked it up and it’s near Southampton the exact place my son has just moved to! Guess who’s planning a visit 😃 thanks Paul. As ever another great video. 👍🌟
I've been to quite a few Abbeys and Castles. Rievaulx Abbey is a fantastic one to see. Also, Tintagel Castle, Helmsley Castle, Berry Pomeroy Castle, Picking Castle, Bolsover Castle, and Tones Castle! Skipton Castle is my favourite one so far. I really enjoyed this Abbey you went to see.

😊 My late uncle would have called it' a pile of old bricks " 😃 thankyou for another good tour 😊 I'd say if there'd been any spirits around might have been just because it's old and abandoned 😊
What a gorgeous place. I got a couple of sounds on there. One was at 11:37, and sounded like kitchen activity, maybe? And then at 15:11, I heard what sounded like a whip sound? I may be going mad, lol, but have a listen and see what you think..xx
Love the video, love the tshirts I’m glad I found your channel through Scott on Tape , after watching Tudors, I have more of an understanding of how your church and religion developed through Henry the 8th and the persecution of other religions during his reign I’m quickly becoming more interested in your history ❤from Tx USA
