- Our return to Key West was an event two years in the making. The whole goal was to return to DJs Clam shack to secure its world famous lobster roll. Things don't always go as planned. Here is day 2 cruise vlog of our cruise on the Celebrity Equinox. This was filmed on August 25th, 2019.

It broke my heart when Tony proclaimed the only thing that mattered was getting a lobster roll...and then he didn't get one. I guess you will have to go back.

OMG'S I'm just watching this series and I'm LOVING IT! Tony, my heart broke for you when you realized you left your wallet! Your lobster roll would have been on me had I been there.

Watching this because we are planning a Key West cruise late 2023 or early 2024. My Grandfather taught me when I was but a youngster...."always have a nickel in your pocket". Well, with inflation over the years the amount has changed, but the lesson has remained. So Tony, "let that be a lesson to ya!"

I love Key West. Mallory Square is fun, Hemmingway’s house is nice with all the cats, and the Southern most point in Florida is cool.Oh, the little White House is good to visit too. Always feels good to get back on the ship, especially if it is really hot, to cool off. A nap always feels good after being out in the heat.
Its too bad your ship docked at the far dock, Is that called C-dock? The other 2 docks would have been easy to go back for you wallet. I LOVE KEY WEST!!! I went last year and stayed a week, I'm a grown man but I actually cried on my last day because I didnt want to leave. I could see how most that visit off cruise ships take it so lightly but its only after you settle in that you can reallyy enjoy the lifestyle of this amazing island. HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TONY!!!

Sorry you did not get your Lobster Roll again . But in Maine you will Love the Lobster Rolls!!! They got great Lobster up there. I was born in Maine😊.

If we have a stop in Key West that little shipwreck museum as well as the head one looked interesting. We did the Old town trolley there. Love the hop on hop off thing!!😊❤

I had to watch again because I couldn’t believe it! As a shopper this doesn’t happen to me because when I get off that ship I know I need money...I feel so bad! I can’t believe you weren’t planning to buy anything. I’m always triple checking my $$$$ You guys need to hit the DISCO because they are TOO FUN on the Cruise...you guys would fit right in!

The buffet on the Equinox looks amazing ! The ship looks beautiful ! I am a Carnival fan but I want to try Celebrity !
I have been sailing for over 20 years and the Equinox is one of the best ships. It is so easy to get around!
Key West was our first stop on our first cruise last November. We loved Sloppy Joes. Best sloppy joe sandwich I have ever eaten. Thanks for sharing.

You and Majesty were docked at Navy Pier requiring that long tram ride to town. I love when ships get to use the dock at Mallory and you can walk right out into the action. ( in case you need to run back to your stateroom to get lobster roll money )

Thank you for this video! I loved seeing different parts of the ship! I have been on 6 Carnival cruises and have always enjoyed them up until the last one and now, want to look at other cruise lines. This video is so much better than looking at just pictures online! The ship looks so much more elegant than the ones I've been on! It made me feel like I was right there with you two!!! The grass looks like it might be drought season? I am excited as we have booked our first Celebrity cruise, I wonder if they will have any fighting on the Celebrity? It might be a tad more exciting than the HAL fights. :) ha Great series.

So after seeing your quest for a lobster roll at DJ's in Key West, I googled their website to see what they had to offer if I ever made it down there. To my surprise, DJ's has two locations , one in Key West and one in Wantagh, NY...which is about 8 minutes from my home! Looks like I'll be eating your lobster roll this weekend!
Totally bummed you closed down the FB page. I really enjoyed that group. I'll have to find another cruising community FB page to interact with fellow cruisers. I was going to post a celebration sort of. Just paid off my December Antarctica cruise.
So cool they have transportation that takes you along the Pier. I've never seen that before!

Never been to Key West it’s on my bucket list but I appreciated watching this from your cruising there a few years back it is 2022 now July 1 I’m wondering how Key West looks now compared to how it looks when you were there today back in 2017? It looks pretty similar to 2019. Lots of stuff to do.
If you ever do a Canada/New England cruise with a stop in Halifax, Nova Scotia we can show y’all around and get you all the lobstah you want! We even own a bakery so we can feed you dessert as well! 🦞
And I agree with Jenny that Sorentos has the best cruise pizza (at least out of NCL, Royal, Carnival, and Disney).

The Coco Bread is made to go with the Beef Patty. It's usually eaten like a sandwich.
Tony, Jenny, Tony, Jenny. My Nana taught me to always carry a 20 dollar bill on me for emergencies. In today's money it's probably 50 dollars. Enough for one lobster roll, french fries, and two sodas, at least. Or one taxi ride. By the way, lobster is one of my favorite foods. Ooh, that tower was closed when I went there. But I met the chicken. And rode the trolley. Hope to go back to Key West myself, and spend a few days. Love you guys.

Look up Samsung pay, on Samsung phones. It is accepted everywhere world wide that uses a credit card machine. It simulates the card swipe in the machine.

The on/off trolley goes to an area right by the dock/ship. Could have just taken the trolley back, gone onboard to get some $$ and hop back on the trolley again to get back to the lobster roll place. It would have been a bit of a hassle, but totally doable!

Love watching these videos! And weeping for you over the Lobster Roll. We will be aboard the Equinox in December, however not stopping in Key West. IF we were, we would TOTALLY enjoy a Lobster Roll for you. One recommendation, when you are sweeping your camera during the vlogs, you move so fast, it makes me a little seasick and I don't get to see much of the scenery! Could you slow down and sweep smoothly? Your audience will thank you. ;)

Oh my gosh, I went to Key West a few years ago and we went to Hemingway's house. It had to be 100 degrees. It's lovely but sooo hot!

Key West was also my gf's and I's first port to visit. We explored and ended up an open bar dog's birthday party at some bar.

I can so sympathize with you on this. I made a similar mistake in Grand Cayman, leaving my wallet on board. There was a long story involving hung over pirates, and lots of rum punch ... but yeah, won't make that mistake again.
