Kia Ora, you’ve made a really sweet trap there. I’m just wondering what you used for the entrance after the chicken wire so it’s harder for the eel to escape if you don’t mind sharing please? Do you use bait in there and if so what do you suggest? Cheers from whaingaroa
Kia ora, thank you for the comment, the entrance is cone-shapped, Ive attached an old jersey sleeve and tied it to the other end. I could make a video show this if you like..

I use Bonito bait, pilchards or anchovies, works for me.
