- In this Cape Town International Airport Arrival video we show you what our Arrival was like when we arrived at Cape Town International Airport on an International Flight from Europe. We cover the whole Arrival Process at Cape Town Airport and you will see our Disembarkation of our Aircraft and the walk from the aircraft all the way out of the airport where we take a taxi to our hotel in the Cape Town Waterfront. Our walk includes Immigration / Passport Control ( we cannot film there so we show our arrival and departure at Immigration / Passport Control). After that comes the International Baggage Reclaim Area from where we quickly get our Luggage. We then quickly pass through Customs where filming is not allowed but we do tell the viewer when Customs is coming up and when we have passed through Customs. After Customs we arrive at the Arrivals Area at Cape Town International Airport. At this point we show you where you can buy a Tourist SIM Card that works in Cape Town South Africa, we show you the location of ATM Bank Machines in the Arrivals Area at Cape Town International Airport, we show you a Currency Exchange Bureau from where you can exchange money to and from South African Rands. Should you need a pharmacy / Chemist we show you the location of that inside the Arrivals Area too. Finally and most importantly we show you where we purchased our Authorised Airport Taxi from in the Arrivals Area. Arriving at Cape Town International Airport went very quickly and smoothly.

There were many feelings about coming back after 30 years! Bottom line, we both LOVED Cape Town and SA - we will be back as quickly as possible but earliest will be 2024 as all trips for 2023 are already booked ;-) Yes, the taxi was a little pricey but it had been recommended to us, the service was good! As a Capetonian I absolutely enjoyed this video! If I could give a guys a tip on your next trip to Cape Town rather use Uber than the Authorized Airport Taxi. It's sometimes even less than half the price and just as safe. They have a designated pickup point at Parkade 1. Just follow the signs saying "E-hailing pickup"
which other than uber taxi can you advice? i have some tech problem with uber but afraid to take taxi from airport
R580 from the airport to the waterfront ! Nah those guys are having a laugh -

hi during rugby world cup in France uber there cost 100 Euro just 1,8 kilometer.take it or leave it.from where we were staying it was2.3 km 150 EURO.SOME SAYS i cant go there give me better offer.tour to Europe then you will fill that pain of being scrutinized.
I think it’s reasonable coz that’s a reputable company with offices within the airport so u can easily track them down so many advantages of using them I think

I have always wanted to visit South Africa but, it is such a long trip from California. Perhaps I could break it up with a stopover in Istanbul. Turkish Airlines serves San Francisco, which is our closest international gateway.
Hello Maxi & Maro...you came to Cape Town ! Happy belated welcome home ! Re. transportation from the airport to the V&A Waterfront...you could've gone to the MyCiti bus station, bought a bus card (for about R40, 00), fill it with as many travel points as you wanted & wait for the bus to Civic Centre and get a connection to the Waterfront. MUCH CHEAPER than R500, 00 ! Probably ½ the price...🤷🏼♀️ None the less, I hope you enjoyed your time ! 😊👍

Well, when you visit again next time, you know....AND...the nice thing is, you can travel ALL over Caoe Town with MyCiti...just make sure, when you scan in on the bus, the scanner shows green....and when it shows orange, you must buy more travel pounts as soon as possible and buy MOVER points, DONT buy standerd points....mover points are cheaper and also, try to travel off peak times (after 9 AM and you will see when you check the bustimes at the busstops, you will see when it's peak time (people returning home from work) it's a little more expensive, but definitely cheaper than an Uber/taxi ! All the best ! 😊👍

We were happy to be back! Of course you must be alert in all countries - we did not feel unsafe at any time while we were down there. Just follow your common sense like you would in any other city around the world. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday :-D

Geez R500 rand and you let them do that? Have you not heard of Uber or Bolt? I only paid R150 from Capetown International Airport to near V and A. They ripped you off big time !!
Ok! It was our first time back in 30 years and that is why we decided to go with an airport taxi service, next time we may use an Uber ;-)
