- Star notes are also known as replacement notes and are fun pieces of currency for collectors like us to collect. As mentioned in the video, all of the star notes shown were parts of runs of 3.2 million and are not very valuable, However, because they are fun to have, I will continue to hold on to them and not return them to the bank. Thank you very much for watching the Big D Coins videos and have a great day!
great info for beginners bro....great job!!
Do these also need to be graded?
I've been saving them for years * note that is.
Thank you for this !!

I have quite a few US & Canadian replacement notes. The Canadian replacement notes have an asterisk before the serial number or an X as the 3rd letter/character.
Ex. *1234567 or IAX1234567.
I have a Blue Serial number Star Note from 1938 No Series, does the 5 star note have value?
It has value. The series is 1938, I’m sure if you look at the bill closely you’ll find that it is the series. As for the star note it is a replacement note and that makes it worth some money and as for the blue, that tells me that you is a silver certificate and that may make it worth a little bit more. As for selling it, it all depends on condition, if it has any unique features, the star for example.
If the bill looks good enough to sell then it is probably worth it to have it graded. The grading of currency is not cheap, so look on the internet for your bill to see if it is worth it to have it graded.
you should talk about the duplicate serial numbers when you do another video. also talk about identifying the very low 250,000 run sizes. Then fancy serial numbers, and the significance of sheet runs. lol sorry just a suggestion brother. i have studied them a lot.
Okay so are they worth anything?
I just found two crisp two dollar star notes with the same numbers, what do you think, they are 2017
Correction on last comment, I just found two one dollar star notes that are crisp 2017 notes with the same numbers, what do you think.
👍
I from India I have a American Star mark note collection 😊
It’s not paper. All US currency is printed on linen. It is a proprietary blend of white linen mixed with red and blue fibers in it and it is only made by one company in the USA. No one is allowed to take any blank sheets or samples of the material.
If you are caught trying to leave the plant with any of the material in/on you, you will be charged with a felony and you will be sent to jail.
The value is still $1😅

Hey guys, a bit off topic but would anyone here know about how much the value of a 2017A series star note sequence of a run of 21, serial #'s close to A08635878*. These are in pristine condition. Thank you so much.
