Roger, I must vigorously agree!! Notice how this engineer can trail off the whistle very gradually and the Reading 6-Chime responds wonderfully. This is one of the best audio recordings of how phenomenal this whistle sounds! You could imagine a huge dragon chained in its lair begging to be set free, and this is how it would sound!
Just listen to 425 March her train up hometown hill, that would be a million dollar alarm clock. Waking up to a reading 6 & the sound of steam power in the morning!!!!!!
Will always be one of my favorite whistles, second only to a cast-iron Logger 3-chime. But I wouldn't mind any steam loco/whistle rolling by my house, as I live right next to the Buffalo and Pittsburgh mainline. Edit: I live in a small town with hills on every side, so everything echoes, and I just played this on full volume over a speaker. It was awesome!
You can actually hear the struggle that the locomotive is having pulling it's train up the hill
I love the 425 steam train 🚂 ❤️❤️ with all my heart oh my gosh waking up to this in the morning would be heaven for me
I'm imagining 2102 storming in with that chuff and whistle highballing it down the line.
To me the Reading G class 6 chime whistle is the best sounding of all.

Ok, This is absolutely incredible!!!
This video consistently brings me to tears. Thank you for recording this.
the chuffing and the 6 chime are music to my ears
425 sounds like a living demonic iron beast with that RDG RY 6 chime, God that fits her well, Makes me wanna sing big iron Horses now!
Fits Shay #6 six better

@@NERRP2017 Well 2102's restoration is nearly done so you will hear it soon
When is it supposed to be fully restored
@@That_Thicc_Cat By the end of the year. Railroad hopes to have it operating between near the end of 2020 to early 2021.
Thunderbolt 1000 Siren Productions Sounds awesome! Also I really like your videos
That's it
I wonder why both engineers looked like they didn’t wanna be filmed
I dont know but probably because they were concentrated on keeping the pressure in the boiler.
As the video goes on you can hear the change in its puff. After 3:16 it sounds very out of breath.
this is my favorite steam train whistle
that chuffing sound is epic omg
Train now arriving platform one is the wonder kids express
