For anyone looking for a pretty good valvebody rebuild kit for the 68rfe, NextGenDiesel has one. I am currently running it on mine and all I can say is MAJOR improvement from the stock valvebody. For the budget builder of course. Total cost with billet channel plate and deep trans pan was around $1300

Have you drove in a highly built 48 truck vs a 68? The 48 feels like it’s trying to kill itself. It never does, but the 68 is a lot smoother
