Good video but I don’t think the winning song can be second to a song that came third just because the point system granted it more points. I mean, there were songs more voted than Shake it but there weren’t songs more voted than My Number One in their respective years. This should account for which was more successful.

Μπορεί το " Παναγιά μου - Παναγιά μου" με την Μαριζα Κωχ να το κατατάσσετε στην 37η θέση, όμως είναι το πιο σοβαρό και αξιοπρεπές τραγούδι που έστειλε η Ελλάδα στην Eurovision. @@Jai05 Yes I agree, but then again do you think for example 1944 is the best result of Ukraine because it won against 41 others and Wild Dances only 35 and Stefania 39 or is it Stefania, because it received more points than the other two Ukrainian winners? With the point system in 2004 Wild dances couldn’t even receive such a score. There is no correct way to rank the results.

Calculate the percentage of countries that gave points to each Ukraine winner in that year. In this case Stefania wins with 100% of countries giving it points compared to 1944 who only got points from 97.56% of counties and Wild Dances who only got from 97.14%

A way too overcomplicated system, I respect and appreciate the effort to make something fairer than just ranking by placement but it makes no sense to add multiple completely different metrics together.

Κάποια ήταν άθλια, κάποια ήταν πραγματικά έκπληξη για το πως πήγανε στην κατάταξη. Δεν υπάρχει αντικειμενικότητα στο γούστο το κοινού και δυστυχώς ούτε στις κριτικές επιτροπές...! Εν τέλη αυτό που μένει είναι ποια έχουν αφήσει το στίγμα τους και μετά από χρόνια!
I’m grateful for all the views this video has gotten, but many of you who are commenting clearly haven’t read the instructions in the beginning of the video. These rankings are based on both placings divided by amount of participants and points divided by maximum available points. Another important point is that the points of the semifinal results also are included. That’s why the ranking doesn’t go from the lowest to the highest score. You can agree or disagree if this is a fair way to rank the entries or not, but please don’t tell me the ranking is wrong.
It was really nice to remember all these songs again! I enjoyed watching this video and may say I think you delivered a system that is fair and flawless! Really well made! I know there may be people that disagree, but math is math! If we wanted to know what's the people's favourite you'd make a poll ^_^ Thank you for your content it's really enjoyable!

If I wouldn’t add the scores of the semifinal for the finalists, that would mean that the 11th places of the semifinals would in most cases get a higher score than the 10th places’ score in the final. For example Pedestal would get 38 points out of 228 while Ulveham would get 16 points out of 876.

In 2024 Greece got 185 points not 212😅😅😅

Jesus, so many Eurovision trash songs. The only quality songs are from the 70s ans beginning 80s. The worst are from 2000 until now : cheap and tacky.
