Yeah @@g-dd-were5763 I did feel it was quite short, even with camera and lens on top.Just another 10-20 cos would have made all the difference.
I just got the Video Go tripod and it was a terrible mistake.
Middle column got stuck on first full extension with a small piece of plastic falling out, and then when I tried to open the legs for access to the column one of them SNAPPED CLEAN OFF with no force applied. I don't know what it's made of but that's NOT ~$250 worth of materials.
On paper it's near perfect. In reality absolutely terrible QC.
My Peak Design tripod may have cost more and doesn't have the f38 system, but it's been through hell and not a scratch!
It also feels wayyyyy more robust in the hand just handling it.
@@pitzkale WOW!! That’s awful. Sorry to hear that. I can’t imagine a tripod leg snapping on two after pulling it outbox. I’d be mad. I’m sure they’ll refund you. I’m guessing you’ve already been in contact with them.
@@RalphMayhewPhotography I have and also found another review with photos of a snapped leg just like mine. Let's see if they refund. I surely won't get a refund on customs I had to pay.. 😏

Great review thanks. I can’t decide between this and the zero y with the additional column and video head. Weight and portability is a big issue for me. I like to film vertical and take photos. Thank you!
If your vertical filming is stationary I’d go the zero y. More options :)
Great video. Thanks. I can't decide whether to go for this or the Zero Y for videography. I like the look of the head on this one, but the Zero is a better size and weight. As I am not much into panning, I was thinking the Zero. Any advice?
Well the zero y is more portable although it’s less stable. I’d only use it for video if you wanted the camera stationary. In that case it’s fine.
Thanks for the review. Looks good for casual stuff and travel, but too wobbly for video panning work.
Cheers. I’d use it as a backup when lightweight is essential but not your main go to.
Man that was a wonderful and funny video.😂 Are you Aussie? Having a 600mm telephoto lens was the biggest selling point. I want this tripod to be portable on my backpack when I go into mountains and be able to use my Sony 200-600mm G on it. Maybe hanging the backpack on that hook would add more stability as well, and also not extending it all the way to minimize the leg twist. I keep my OSS and IBIS on and managed to have super smooth panning and tilting for sport video on a tiny ballhead before so this should be sufficient enough.
I am an Aussie. Haha. Where are you from? Sounds like a plan to me 👍 just be careful it’s not too windy when you hang your back pack or it may add more stress to the legs, with them supporting a heavy moving object.
@@RalphMayhewPhotography From Oman and used to Aussie forums and stuff about my Nissan Patrol. You guys love to destroy your cars while offroading so any Aussie mod is field tested 100%.🤣

Hope they release just the Video-Head seperatly, the Zero Y/F38 is also a little bit higher but the rest is almost the same beside the different head or?
They already have the fluid head 🤔

i have a question, if i want to switch from standard arca swiss to f38 plate, is it possible? well i just order used tt09 that comes with arca swiss.

The design is good, but the materials are extremely poor quality!
I bought this tripod in Aliexpress and I broke it on my first shooting day, powder metal material is extremely brittle
im highly disappointed and cannot recommend it
If it had damaged my camera, it would have been a disaster!(
With all sincerity I have to ask is the product you bought legit? It feels like you may have been sold a look a like. With the tripod I have I can’t see it ever failing due to poor quality materials 🤷🏼♂️
