I took delivery a new, custom ordered, '68 Camaro with the L78 in May 1968 and the very first thing I jumped on just a few seconds into this video was the lack of the console w/gauge cluster. Later in the video it is explained that this option was not ordered. Wow, I didn't remember that was an option back then. I order mine with the R/S Package, Red w/Black Stripe and a Black Vinyl Top, No A/C, No Power Steering and 3.73 gears. Mine had the Power Front Disc Brakes which I'm almost sure was standard on this setup. The brakes were amazing after coming out of a '66 Malibu. I turned 23 about a week after taking delivery, was living with 2 other guys, had a good job and was more responsible than the average 22/23 year old, which sure as hell isn't saying a lot. One year and about 20 gf's later it was repossessed. What a dumb fucking ass. Now at 75 I have been sobbing over my stupidity for 52 years.
Love those classic us muscle cars especially the first generation camaros 67 to 69 and they had raw power under that bonnet and they also share some of the same mechanicles as our australian GM Holden muscle cars of the same era and they didnt have the emission control gear which choked the engines of performance and didnt have anywhere near as much plastic as the modern tupperware cars do now and the 1rst gen camaros had nice modern clean flowing lines on the bodywork whicj i think were very modern and handsome for o car of the late 60s. By the way one of the early toyota celicas was based on the 1rst gen camaros and the new one ,present model was designed in australia and uses the same platform as australias locally built VE VF commodore.
We have over 200 photos of this vehicle on our website. We also had some highlight videos during this video showing the exterior, interior, engine, etc. Thank you.

Thanks for the comment!
What timing, Was looking at a COPO now this arises available.
I wish you would have gotten out of the car and showed it bumper to bumper describing the features instead of just sitting there rattling on.

Copo wouldn't even stand a chance of the L-78
