The prime minister of Romania (Catu), bought a lot of facebook likes for one of his press conferences held in Romanian language (without translation). Half of the people who liked his video had vietnamese names, the other half ukrainian. This is what our government spends the tax money on.
Trolls and haters often put fake likes on other people's posts in an attempt to get their posts flagged and taken down. It's very cheap and there's some sites even offering a free trial service which they can use. It's not necessarily the prime minister of Romania's people who did this, but a troll or hater.
Next time if/when making a video like this about buying views ask for expert help to explain how things work, it's not that simple anymore. Long gone are the days of bots or click-farms (they still exist but results are very bad as RUclips has gotten good at detecting them) now it is more complicated and in my opinion better for creators who want to buy them. There are tiers of view quality outside RUclips advertisements. The more expensive ones come from advertising networks for one and there are numerous different sources and methods. I completely agree with this statement from some previous comment "So, Google isn't opposed to the selling of views on RUclips. They're only against it if they're not getting the money." The RUclips views might be better targeted if you really know what you're doing. Other than that there is little to no difference, only in price.

Watched all the way to the end, amazing, answered a lot of my questions as I was considering looking at promoting my small channel via RUclips or Google - Thank you.
generally think that problem with people doing RUclips is lack of strategy. They come up with ideas and upload them and post them straight away. They may be motivated for a couple months and may upload 40 videos in that time. 40 videos could be 40 or 20 weeks instead of 2/3 months. Post them consistently (and use a bit of Famester as well), don't post everything straight away. This also helps avoid burn out...
Absolutely stellar content! It's eye-opening to see the real implications of buying views contrasted with genuine growth. The dedication in producing this video reflects your commitment to authenticity. This isn't just a video, it's an education. This response has the best grammar, non inflammatory use of language and is the finest ass kissing I have ever seen on a YT Comment. The use of sentence structure makes me think of the many hours spent having discussions with different AI's.
Im just uploading daily and consistent. Thats the key. And do it because you like it. Not because you want to become the biggest. Im only at 300 subscribers but i really love the people that are already watching. Even if its not that many
Dont worry guys if we just keep pushing we will make it and we wont even need to buy promotion! Just grind and keep making good content! Good luck to all!❤🎉
No it's not. If you upload daily shorts, 3 long videos weekly with high quality you will grow. But you need to make youtube your life. And you need to choose a niche that has many people interested in but low competition. You don't need an expensive microphone or countless of editing program. The assets can be easily gained. It's easy to grow. Especially when you speak fluently. If you master the sound of your video which is 50% of your video. The other 50% is super easy.
Such a cool experiment thank you for making this video. Very informative and should be a thing that more people should know about. Glad its getting out there that it is clearly not worth it to buy your success just work for it!
I think its completely cool to buy some subs, likes etc in the beginning but only if you really have quality content. I didn't want to work my a** of just to get couple of likes. I got myself little push from Fame - ster in terms of subs and only after that my channel started to get organic traffic. Great video btw!
Of course you do, bot-san. I suspected you're a bot because of your AI-like comment so I ran your display picture through an AI detection tool. Turns out the image is AI generated and by extension, so is the comment.
Content creators ! Stay consistent! Yeah it might be slow & hard . But don’t give up ! People will see your work ethic & it will be worth it in the long run !
As time goes by and this video gains traction, it would be really interesting to measure the boost it gives you with subscribers views and watch hours, compared to what happened when you bought views. How much work was it to produce this video?
And now time (a couple of months) has passed, and this video has over a million views. (And the channel has 180K subs, but I don't know where it was when the video was uploaded.)
Why so little people are talking about boosting? I think it's completely harmless if you are using it reasonably. You can't get 100k ofc but getting some small amount of views and likes from time to time just to stay relevant on this platform I believe its completely cool. (Personally used fame ster and never regret it)
Because advertising is still a problem, it's still basically shouting at people. Sure it builds awareness, but it doesn't build organic fans, which are the only thing that will carry your brand long-term.
@@arranmc182 it's the same problem though. "The only long term currency is trust" - Seth Godin Sponsor pays for slot on video with high views, but gets no return because that video has low engagement because it's not organic, sponsor will never use you again. Bridge burnt. And guess what that sponsor was a subsidiary of a bigger group, so now you've burnt multiple bridges.
The problem is no one wants to really work for it. Everyone thinks they can make a career out of youtube. There are more youtube channels then there are tv channels, tv shows in the world....
Its very important to include that subs and watch time hours from the new youtube promotions does NOT count towards your eligibility for youtube partner. Just wanted to share that bit of info
Great video! I really have a question. For someone with less than $5,000 to invest, how would you recommend we enter the crypto market? I am looking at studying some traders and copying their strategy rather than investing myself and losing money emotionally. What's your take on this approach?
I agreed, investing without proper guidance can lead to mistakes and losses. last year. I did so many mistakes but also learned so much from it, If you're new to investing or don't have much time, it's best to get advice from an expert.
As a beginner, it's essential for you to have a mentor to keep you accountable. Myself, I'm guided by Daniel Adams Bailey. for years and highly recommend him I focus on him. To be honest, I almost didn't buy the idea of letting someone handle growing my finance, but so glad I did.
As a YT creator myself this is a bit...well...frustrating. I spend 10-20 hours a week making short video clips and then editing those clips into a video, then publishing them on YT. All of my subscribers, views, etc. are organic. And, it's slow. Someone could spend less time, but has a hefty bank account, and could easily blow by my numbers just by buying their numbers. Something just doesn't set well about this.
Paid views are not recurring views, organic is more loyal, at least that's what I got from this video, well, that and don't waste money on ads, buy yourself a coffee and keep doing what you already do, entertain your loyal viewers, I'll smash the subscribe just because..
Out of curiosity I decided to search for the site which you blurred the top in the beginning of the video, It took me maybe 2 minutes to find the site you spoke of here. Of course I'd never use something like that but I do like watching vids like this though. Thanks for the vid. I just "Liked & Subscribed" :)
If you buy you will have to keep buying in my mind, all those places send atleast 10% bot traffic. If you are bringing people to your channel that have no interest in your content to begin with then it does more damage then good.😅
Appreciate this video. I'm glad I came across it. I'm a new RUclips Content Creator. Learning all about this new landscape and medium, that I find myself in.
Interesting experiment! It's eye-opening to see the detailed breakdown of costs and analytics for buying RUclips views. The targeted instream ads seem like a smart approach for attracting a higher quality audience despite the higher cost. The infeed ads reducing friction makes sense, but it comes at a price. Overall, great insights into the world of view buying methods.
I started my channel a long time ago to showcase experiments with programming and a few years back I pivoted to making scary story videos to see what would happen. I've never paid for promotion or clicks, through RUclips or elsewhere, and so far my experiences with The Algorithm have been pretty...random. Videos I thought were very similar in terms of content and quality could get anywhere between 10 and a few thousand views, and it seems I randomly fall in and out of favor with The Algorithm over timescales of several weeks. I'm not sure I'll ever pay for anything, but it's interesting to learn about what's out there. Thanks for this illuminating video!
This seems to be the best video ive seen about youtube growth in a LONG time. SOOO many are click bait, or selling something, or just talking about drama fluff something like "is youtube dying? can you make it as a new youtuber in 2024???" blah blah blah. hate it all. This one is like the results from a scientific research paper, just laid out clearly and plainly, presenting the facts, how you got them, and your informed opinion and why you have that opinion with logical explanations. Ill be checking out some other videos and hopefully the content is as top tier.
Really interesting experiment. I actually was wondering how this worked and how prevalent it is in youtube. One of my videos blew up (for my standards) but nothing really happened with the rest. I've been trying to figure out how that happened, but the vast majority of the views are through browse features or suggested videos. Kinda strange and I wonder how many people have this happen with their videos.
@@sunsetshadow Yeah, August 29th-30th specifically for me. I didn't know that was something that was happening for others as well. Thanks for the information.
I have one video which is consistently getting about 1000 views/day since halfway through September. The other 2 videos in my "daily top 3" on my channel get about 100 and 50 views per day :P That popular video is a piano version of a popular song, so I guess it makes sense. Not sure how long its popularity will last, but it's fun to see!
very interesting topic and thoroughly covered. nicely done! but at least as impressive is the video itself. the edits and style simply smack. entertaining and engaging without going overboard. bravo good sir! :)
This speaks more about youtube and algorithm, how impossible it is to achieve youtuber success. No one giving you a chance and youtube isn't really interested in you to begin with but needs you because it pays their bottom line. Tech should be paying users and consumers. Samsung and Apple, Google, and MS, should pay us a dividend for using their products. We don't really own our tech gadgets by them, every user is treated like a buy in beta tester. So this shows how difficult it is period to get noticed by their algorithm. Awesome content !

If truly think about this, you’re really paying to get eyes on your channel. So, If you can get the cheapest cost per subscriber, then those people are more likely to be shown your video again in browse or suggested and gain organic views in the future. I feel like this is the most valuable ROI for ads if you aren’t actually selling anything.
I vote the promotion method!
Great video
This is one of the dumbest comments I've ever read
I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for....
@Sofia-Agne43 That's actually quite impressive, I could use some Info on your FA, I am looking to make a change on my finances this year as well
@Sofia-Agne43 I will give this a look, thanks a bunch for sharing.

My conclusion: not so useful after all :P

@@80skidYT Yes indeed, that's why I watched it :)
Great video. Thanks for the experiment and the analytics.
Great information! Very helpful! Thank you for sharing your experience!
generally think that problem with people doing RUclips is lack of strategy.
Amazing video man. Thanks so much for doing all that work.
Absolutely stellar content! It's eye-opening to see the real implications of buying views contrasted with genuine growth. The dedication in producing this video reflects your commitment to authenticity. This isn't just a video, it's an education. As they say, true success isn't bought but earned, and you, my friend, are earning every bit of it. Keep enlightening the RUclips community! 🌟

This response has the best grammar, non inflammatory use of language and is the finest ass kissing I have ever seen on a YT Comment. The use of sentence structure makes me think of the many hours spent having discussions with different AI's.
The fact he was so worried about getting scammed on bot views but then paid 88k in Google advertising is mind blowing.

Im just uploading daily and consistent. Thats the key.
And do it because you like it. Not because you want to become the biggest.

RUclips is like a pay to win game
Literally every social media app where you tryna gain notoriety on
No it's not.

Nice to know for growing a channel. Thanks for all your research!
I think its completely cool to buy some subs, likes etc in the beginning but only if you really have quality content. I didn't want to work my a** of just to get couple of likes. I got myself little push from Fame - ster in terms of subs and only after that my channel started to get organic traffic. Great video btw!
LOL PURE FOOLISHNESS
Of course you do, bot-san. I suspected you're a bot because of your AI-like comment so I ran your display picture through an AI detection tool. Turns out the image is AI generated and by extension, so is the comment.

As time goes by and this video gains traction, it would be really interesting to measure the boost it gives you with subscribers views and watch hours, compared to what happened when you bought views. How much work was it to produce this video?
And now time (a couple of months) has passed, and this video has over a million views. (And the channel has 180K subs, but I don't know where it was when the video was uploaded.)
great information bro..good job!👍👍
Great stuff, man. Thank you.
Wow! Great video. Kuddos for putting so much effort into making it.
This is a phenomenal concept bro love this content
Why so little people are talking about boosting? I think it's completely harmless if you are using it reasonably. You can't get 100k ofc but getting some small amount of views and likes from time to time just to stay relevant on this platform I believe its completely cool. (Personally used fame ster and never regret it)
Because advertising is still a problem, it's still basically shouting at people. Sure it builds awareness, but it doesn't build organic fans, which are the only thing that will carry your brand long-term.
as long as you are not actively trying to brake the YT T&C then its a non issue
@@BuzzaB77 sadly to get sponsors they like to see high view numbers over subscriber counts so its a way to gain views
@@arranmc182 it's the same problem though.
"The only long term currency is trust" - Seth Godin
Sponsor pays for slot on video with high views, but gets no return because that video has low engagement because it's not organic, sponsor will never use you again.
Really interesting! Thanks for the go-thru.

Great content and really well explained and useful insights!
Mention: Watch hours from advertising campaigns don't count toward RUclips monetization.
Great video! I really have a question. For someone with less than $5,000 to invest, how would you recommend we enter the crypto market? I am looking at studying some traders and copying their strategy rather than investing myself and losing money emotionally. What's your take on this approach?
There are actually strategies that could be put in place for colossal gains, but such execution is usually carried out by financial experts
I agreed, investing without proper guidance can lead to mistakes and losses. last year. I did so many mistakes but also learned so much from it, If you're new to investing or don't have much time, it's best to get advice from an expert.
Nice. those who work with expert typically earn more than those who go it alone.
ambitious! who is this advsor guiding you? i'm seeking for a more effective growth approach on my savings
I really like this guy and im over the moon with the content... man you got it
Out of curiosity I decided to search for the site which you blurred the top in the beginning of the video, It took me maybe 2 minutes to find the site you spoke of here. Of course I'd never use something like that but I do like watching vids like this though. Thanks for the vid. I just "Liked & Subscribed" :)
To be honest, buying your way on the youtube does not sound too good, I believe natural good content always works sooner or later.
If you buy you will have to keep buying in my mind, all those places send atleast 10% bot traffic. If you are bringing people to your channel that have no interest in your content to begin with then it does more damage then good.😅
You spent $80k!!! that's is insane!
Even though it may seem easy to just buy views I'd rather continue in a genuine way. Even though it can be frustrating
Appreciate this video. I'm glad I came across it. I'm a new RUclips Content Creator. Learning all about this new landscape and medium, that I find myself in.
That’s some great information right there. Thanks!

Keep grinding guys! Never give up 🔥

His videos are the most incredible and a must to subscribe to his channel. I am a paid bot and the channel owner approved this message
Ill be checking out some other videos and hopefully the content is as top tier.
how much he pay you for this?
It is a total waste of time! Hollow subs mean nothing! YT promotions lowers retention and welcomes bots. Avoid

Did that happen in August? I've been following the "invalid click" or "invalid traffic" problem that hit many creators around that time.
I pray that everyone growing their channel, i hope one day will eventually get what they really deserve ❤
very interesting topic and thoroughly covered. nicely done! but at least as impressive is the video itself. the edits and style simply smack. entertaining and engaging without going overboard. bravo good sir!
