  • Welcome back to another video! In this episode we discuss why we went with a 146 freeride turbo for the upcoming season! Is this a practical sled, or just a one trick pony, designed to do wheelies in the meadow!? I share my initial thoughts, as well as a little insight regarding my future plans for this sled! Hope you enjoy!

    Trackspeed is everything, 95% of the people don't need a 155" today

      Yeah I lean more towards most of us don’t need a turbo, 95 percent of people, myself included, can’t out ride an N/A 850

    Thanks for the video, atleast confirming some of my thoughts, half questioned my 146 turbo freeride purchase as i missed out on a 154 N/A by 24 hours and jumped on the 146. Thought about in the future having a 154 skid on hand for the thick of winter. Will be wild under a 137 tunnel forsure lol

      You bet! Yeah I’ll be just running it as a pure 146 for now and keep on the hunt for some rails and a track! Honestly I think the sled is gunna be wild in either form!

    if you want a sled with good suspension buy a the lynx shreeder.😉 but the skidoo freeride has always had way better suspension then all other brands

      Yes they got some pretty unique stuff that’s for sure !

    Did the same thing, I don’t like the 36 front though!!! It really feels like a trail sled really needs a 34 front.. not easy to get on its side and hold a line.

      @ThrottleNectar  8 месяцев назад

      Sweet! And I haven’t rode a G5 with the 34” front end, as I only had my Polaris last year. Are you throwing a 34 front end on yours?!

    I don't see why people wouldn't just get a 154 Expert, and buy some upgraded shocks? It seems like less work, but then you don't get that Freeride paint color.

      If your not worried about changing tracks and just want a 154 for a 154 definitely an option!

    New sleds are between $25 and $30K now? The last sled I bought new was a 1996 Yamaha vmax 600. Back then it cost around $5k

      Unfortunately yes! Keep in mind that’s also in CAD. Yeah it’s actually crazy how much it’s went up! I remember in 2019 or 2020 buying the top of the line sled for 18k and now add on another 10k. I’m really surprised that the sledding scene hasn’t really started to take a step back yet

      It has. It’s all mountain sleds now. The stuff they sold up to about 2011 for the eastern states market is pretty much gone.

      By that I mean normal trail sleds. Folks are restoring ZRs and Indy’s and JagZs around here because nobody makes sleds like those anymore and the price of new stuff is scary.

      Haha oh I have! And it’ll stay 146 for awhile, but wouldn’t say no to a super short tunnel 154!
