Where are the three largest hospitals in Korea? It is Seoul National University Hospital run by the best medical school, Asan Medical Center, which records annual sales of more than 1 trillion won, and Samsung Medical Center run by the best company in Korea. Yonsei University Severance Hospital and Seoul St. Mary's Hospital are also called Big 5.
The hospitals in Korea are very troubled now. Covid-19 patients are surging again, and doctors are on strike against the government's medical policy. I visited to Samsung Medical Center, which has about 2,000 beds and 8,000 employees.

Here I've got my horrible, horrible diagnosis last summer. And it came with the best treatment I've got in Korea throughout 15 years. 3 MRIs, tons of tests, shitload of steroids... And the insurance covered 90% of my expenses. Korea will never, never be the same for me. And this hospital is WAY better than SNUH. I know from the inside.

Why are the doctors on strike? I read something about them being against the new decision to increase medical school study places, but I don't understand why doctors are on strike because of it.. someone who knows?😅
