In the New Testament, a reference to tithe is found once in Matthew (Matthew 23:23), twice in Luke (Luke 11:42; 18:12), and six times in Hebrews (Hebrews 7:4-9). The paying of tithes by the scribes and Pharisees mentioned by Jesus in Matthew and Luke was under the law, for the Old Testament was still in force until the death of Christ on the cross (Galatians 4:4). The New Testament took effect after the death of Christ (Hebrews 9:15-17).
God didn't say that! The Tithe is not under the New Covenant. The Bible says in 2 Cor. 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. 1. It was a law for Israel. 2. It was for the Levitical priest and you are not a Levitical priest. This was because they didn't have any income. 3. You can not be under the law AND grace. Pick one! 4. If you keep one law of the 613 laws, then you are required to keep them all. 5. God says in John 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
@@1hundedfold I didn't change the Book of Malachi. You need to understand the Book of Malachi was for who? Let me tell you. Malachi 1- The burden of the word of the Lord to Israel by Malachi. Malachi 2- And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you. Malachi 3- That these verses are speaking specifically to the priests is clear from the little phrase at the end of Malachi 3:9. God says that they are not only robbing God, but are robbing the entire nation as well. NOT THE PEOPLE. IT WAS THE PRIEST ROBBING GOD, NOT THE PEOPLE.
@@1hundedfold baby this isn’t Google! This is studying and a lot of it. Check your cross references when you “read” your Bible. You’ll see it was mentioned more than one time where the priests were stealing from the store house. As a matter of fact read 5 verses before Malachi 3:10. Malachi 3:5 “So I will come to put you on trial. I will be quick to testify against sorcerers, adulterers and perjurers, against those who defraud laborers of their wages, who oppress the widows and the fatherless, and deprive the foreigners among you of justice, but do not fear me,” says the Lord Almighty.
GOD IS NOT THE AUTHOR OF CONFUSION 1 Corinthians 14:33 - Man is! The Almighty God has authorized His Son Jesus Christ to establish 'ONE CHURCH', (Matthew 16:18, Acts 2:1-47). He has established 'ONE PLAN' for all mankind to obey and be saved. The one plan is that... & Man must Hear the Gospel of Christ, Acts 15:7, Romans 10:17. * Man must Believe the Gospel of Christ, Mark 16:15-16, Hebrews 11:6. * Man must Repent of his sins, Luke 13:3-5, Acts 17:30. * Man must Confess his faith in Christ, Acts 8:37, Rom. 10:9-10 & Man must be Baptized in water into Christ for the remission of his sins, Acts 2:38, Acts 22:16, 1 Peter 3:21. When man do these things, the Lord will ADD man to the church, Acts 2:47!- Then man must live or remain Faithful unto death, 2 Peter 1:5-11, Revelation 2:10

[9] Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. [10] Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. [11] And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.
How sir can we be cursed with a curse when Jesus was the curse NAILED to the cross? What was the setting, the theology, the reason why the LEVITES tithe back then? You see NOTHING about tithing in the New Testament. He tells us to GIVE! and to be cheerful GIVERS! that is ALL you see after Jesus is GIVE, NOT TITHE. Preachers preaching these lies, especially those who went to seminary and have studied the historical meanings and context of why things were done the way they were BEFORE Christ, will truly have to answer to God about the spirit of manipulation they speak in. So why are we not killing bulls, bullocks, and goats and offering up sacrifices? There are specific ethnicity reasons, religious reasons, and so many other things that you have to bear in mind when reading the old testament. There are significant reasons to what was done, why it was done, and how it was done based of your lineage and etc..... and many preachers KNOW this but don't want the people in the pews to know. If you preach the truth of giving instead of the yoke of bondage of tithing, you will find it works more favorable for the kingdom and your ministry.

There is not Bible verse against tithing or giving to the Lord. Only ones supporting it. Do some research on tithing came before the law. Genesis 15:20.
What Abraham gave Melchizedek was not from his income. It was from the plunder he recovered from the four kings of the east. This may have been a customary response to a blessing at this time, but it certainly would not have been required of Abram. The tithe wasn't a law in that time. If you wish to stay under the law, then you must follow the whole law. A tenth has to go to the widow, orphan, and the foreigner as well.
Keeping the Sabbath holy and circumcision came BEFORE the law too... They were commanded by God DIRECTLY!!! And YET, we are told not put ourselves under ANY PART of the law.... Did you miss that part??? 🤔
There’s nothing wrong with practicing tithing. Tithing was here before God gave the Law to Moses. Abraham did it in practice in that one instance to Melchisedec in honor. And in that time people practiced giving to a Monarch. And God will bless you. That’s the Word. But God commanded Israel to give a tithe. They were agricultural people. And understand that the tribe of Levi didn’t have land and they were the priestly tribe. They couldn’t work, their job was to keep the Temple and offer up sacrifices. To do the work of the Lord. So what they received from the other 11 tribes was-to help take care of them, the orphans, widows and the poor. The concept some have today is wrong. We are not commanded under the new covenant to give a tithe. The Word said in 2Corinthians 9:7 “So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.” It’s about Honoring God. If want to give 12% I can, if I want to give 15% I can but if I give 8% I can, long as you’re doing it in faith and not grudging. And as a believer if you don’t feel you should honor God with your finances and to help further the gospel and to help the orphans, widows and poor then your heart is not right. Mammon is your god. But this is why Pastors need to rightly divide the Word of God. God never intended for people to give in fear. The truth will make you free.

@@dishikadillonI did not say it was his income, he tithe the spoil of war that he retrieved. The point was is that he practiced tithing principle. I’m showing that it was already practiced before it became a commandment under the law of God. It wasn’t anything new. You are not commanded by God to tithe. You are free to give from your heart. Period. I give a tenth or more. It’s what the person purpose in their heart like Paul said.

Why is Pastor Marvin Winans wrong about tithing? Let us read what the New Testament has to say about the two, the old and new: The passage from 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 presents a different approach to giving compared to the Old Testament tithing system. Here's a comparison: Voluntary vs. Mandatory: The New Testament passage emphasizes voluntary giving, encouraging each person to decide "in his heart" how much to give. This contrasts with the Old Testament tithing, a mandatory 10% contribution. Attitude over Amount: While the Old Testament focused on a specific percentage, this passage stresses the importance of the giver's attitude. It encourages cheerful giving rather than giving out of obligation or compulsion. Principle of Sowing and Reaping: The passage introduces a principle of proportional returns, suggesting that generous giving leads to generous returns. This concept is separate from the Old Testament tithing system. Flexibility in Amount: Unlike the fixed 10% tithe, this passage allows for flexibility in the amount given. The individual should determine the amount, potentially allowing for more or less than 10% based on circumstances and convictions. Heart-Centered Approach: The emphasis is on the state of one's heart while giving rather than adhering to a specific law or percentage. This aligns more with the New Testament's focus on internal transformation rather than external compliance. Grace-Based Giving: Some interpret this passage as promoting a "grace offering" or "free-will offering" approach, which differs from the structured tithing system of the Old Testament. It's worth noting that Christian denominations have varying interpretations regarding how these New Testament principles relate to Old Testament tithing. Some view this passage as superseding the tithing system, while others see it as complementary to tithing.
What we don't need to do is charge people to watch a video. That part If a person wants to watch your amazing incredible insightfulness and inspiration 'Preaching semon' as a guest that person is not obligated to pay tithe to that ministry. Paying tithes is wildly misused, and misunderstood. There's no scripture supporting to pay tithe to strangers that you come across. If you are not a member of that ministry; unemployed, disabled, retired and or a widow you are obligated to give but not obligated to pay tithes. Retirement funds are saved money set aside into a government system for your golden age/senior living.
We are in the last days. Tithing is what God states not man! Man will always challenge what they don't want to accept as God's word. Old or new testament, God help your people.

@@pastorsdsmith sorry Pastor you are wrong or greedy

Malachi 2- And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you.
Malachi 3- That these verses are speaking specifically to the priests is clear from the little phrase at the end of Malachi 3:9. God says that they are not only robbing God, but are robbing the entire nation as well.

GOD IS NOT THE AUTHOR OF CONFUSION
1 Corinthians 14:33
- Man is!
The Almighty God has authorized His Son Jesus Christ to establish 'ONE CHURCH', (Matthew
16:18, Acts 2:1-47). He has established 'ONE PLAN' for all mankind to obey and be saved. The one plan is that...
& Man must Hear the Gospel of Christ, Acts 15:7, Romans 10:17.
* Man must Believe the Gospel of Christ, Mark
16:15-16, Hebrews 11:6.
* Man must Repent of his sins, Luke 13:3-5, Acts 17:30.
* Man must Confess his faith in Christ, Acts
8:37, Rom. 10:9-10
& Man must be Baptized in water into Christ for the remission of his sins, Acts 2:38, Acts 22:16, 1
Peter 3:21.
When man do these things, the Lord will ADD man to the church, Acts 2:47!-
Then man must live or remain Faithful unto death,

Tithes help the church, regardless if it's required or not. Church is still a business. You pay that Netflix subscription faithfully, you can't give to God?

We see you!!! we know how to read and we know how to reason and discern!!! The tithe Is animals and crops!! stop turning it into something that God never said it was!!! Malachi 3:8-11 KJV
Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.

@@tiwanstrong1413 👏👏👏👏
@@tiwanstrong1413 ty. Romas says that we are no longer under the law but grace.

Malachi 3:10
Why is Pastor Marvin Winans wrong about tithing? Let us read what the New Testament has to say about the two, the old and new: The passage from 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 presents a different approach to giving compared to the Old Testament tithing system. Here's a comparison:
Voluntary vs. Mandatory:
The New Testament passage emphasizes voluntary giving, encouraging each person to decide "in his heart" how much to give. This contrasts with the Old Testament tithing, a mandatory 10% contribution.
Attitude over Amount:
While the Old Testament focused on a specific percentage, this passage stresses the importance of the giver's attitude. It encourages cheerful giving rather than giving out of obligation or compulsion.
Principle of Sowing and Reaping:
The passage introduces a principle of proportional returns, suggesting that generous giving leads to generous returns. This concept is separate from the Old Testament tithing system.
Flexibility in Amount:
Unlike the fixed 10% tithe, this passage allows for flexibility in the amount given. The individual should determine the amount, potentially allowing for more or less than 10% based on circumstances and convictions.
Heart-Centered Approach:
The emphasis is on the state of one's heart while giving rather than adhering to a specific law or percentage. This aligns more with the New Testament's focus on internal transformation rather than external compliance.
Grace-Based Giving:
Some interpret this passage as promoting a "grace offering" or "free-will offering" approach, which differs from the structured tithing system of the Old Testament.
It's worth noting that Christian denominations have varying interpretations regarding how these New Testament principles relate to Old Testament tithing. Some view this passage as superseding the tithing system, while others see it as complementary to tithing.
What we don't need to do is charge people to watch a video. That part
If a person wants to watch your amazing incredible insightfulness and inspiration 'Preaching semon' as a guest that person is not obligated to pay tithe to that ministry.
Pples that don't believe in tithe belongs to GOD read the bible to fast go back read the book of Malachi just 4 chapters for you lazy
Cunning, everyone could and would do better if you shared the wealth that the people give to you
