I have learned to give a tithe even if I remain with no money at all. To my surprise, I don't get in debt and God provides all my needs hallelujah!!!!!

Tithing to me is to remind me that everything comes from God, our provider. When i first started to tithe 10% of my gross salary and i have other financial commitments at the same time, i thought if this what God wants from me, I will just do it. I experienced many blessings including monies deposited into my bank account by an unknown person when my account was dried up and the recent one is, i get to keep my current job when i thought i would be made redundant due to the pandemic. Though tithing is stated in the old testament, whoever wants to follow it, just make sure we do it willingly. Amen.

It’s hard every time i give it away but Every day I’m reaping the harvest. The money comes back in bigger amounts in ways i can’t take credit for. Tithing has changed my life 360 degree I was on death bed 3 years back I had a stroke after which I was in hospital for days my right leg was completely gone I was diagnosed with thyroid ,depression ,fatty liver ,and also diabetics I give blood tests every 3 months this month in my test there is no sign of diabeties I also got rid of depression pills which I took for almost 5 years since the day I started doing tithing I'm not in debt and my salary has even increased 15 percent in the span of 2 years and health wise also I'm feeling better ❤tithing really changes lives and that to for better

I tithe, not out of obligation but it is my own personal form of worship. I enjoy giving God 10% of my all (cheerful giver). Started out with little to nothing, but I've watched God moved me to places in my life financially where no one in my family line has been. I give regular offerings as well. This lines up with what the Bible calls "bountiful giving". If we give sparingly we shall reap sparingly, but if we give bountifully we shall reap the same.

Well I just had to respond to your comment as you mentioned something that may be a bit dangerous in your statement there. You said tithing is been obedient to God, but my question is where did God instruct the new testament church to tithing. To me when you speak obedience it implies God has instructed that and we should have biblical proof of that. Tithing helps keep the lights on in the church keeps the AC or heat on. Pays the pastoral staff. I also believe when you partner with a ministry to help spread the word of God then will also be a part of the blessing that comes.from that. If the pastor you help support keeps more then what is right that is up to God to sort out and deal with when he sees fit. If you dont tithe to me it's like being a freeloader. Tithing is an Old Testament law. Christians are not under the Old Testament law. So Christians are not required to tithe, just like they are not required to sacrifice a lamb for Passover. Christians are under the new covenant, that is Grace. Under the new covenant of Grace Christians are told to give as each one as decided in their heart to give not grudgingly or under compulsion. Once you set a fixed percentage, like 10% you are no longer giving freely. So give, but don't worry about the percentage.
The New Testament does not replace the Old Testament, it fulfills it. It is in the Old Testament that we see God kick-starting His redemption plan for humanity right after the fall of man. Ten commandments are still valid, tithing is still valid. New testament does not nullified old. Grace is not a license to do wrong, but a liberty to walk in obedience.
That is incorrect, tithing came before the law, it is a universal principle. Tithing was revealed to us through Abraham BEFORE Moses came (Mosaic Law), there are many wealthy people in the world but I don’t believe any child of God prospers without tithing & giving offerings. If you look at the book of Malachi when it refers to tithes and offering look at the blessings attached to it. Why would a person not want those blessings, also before you say that is just for the Jews remember all Christians are adopted into the Jewish family through Jesus Christ. I always thought “giving” was to give whatever you could (your talent,time,help,money,etc) I always thought of my tithe as giving whatever I could monetarily or physically. I never knew tithing was only pertaining to our money, so I’m gonna have to continue reading my bible and pray for discernment on whether we as Christians are to tithe 10% of our income.

Tithing is a test also, We do not have to give, yet God gave His Son for our sins. also, 2 Corinthians 9:7. We should give cheerfully, and generously, always. God has blessed His children beyond what we humans can even think of.

By donating items, money or using your skills in a place - you’re sowing resources. God blesses our giving. God does not require us to tithe. A prayerful and careful study of the scriptures from old to new testament will open your eyes to this truth.
I am currently meditating on Malachi 3:10 (again), and I must admit, I am really having a difficult time reflecting on it. Like you, I have so many questions before, hesitant, mostly, that if I were to give my 10% straight to church, will they really be putting it to good use? I remember a friend of mine told me, if you know where your tithes are going, you are in control and not trusting God about it. Tithing is an act of faith. Definitely. Just to share some discoveries regarding Malachi... When it comes to tithing perhaps no scripture is more referenced than Malachi 3:8-12 which states: 8 “Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me. “But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’ “In tithes and offerings. 9 You are under a curse-your whole nation-because you are robbing me. 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. 11 I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the Lord Almighty. 12 “Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land,” says the Lord Almighty. At face value, this passage would seem to imply that God is playing the role of either a mob boss or a slot machine - or both if one translates this passage in terms of monetary value. Who but a ruthless dictator would curse another for not carrying out this alleged indictment to regularly pay a percentage of your income - or else! Does this idea really pass the “love test”? Isn’t choice a primary component of love? And if tithing is compulsory as stated under Mosaic law, how can it really be considered a choice or any sort of act of faith? Another possible translation of this passage would suggest this is not the case. Some of the reasons why could be as follows: 1. In the first few verses of the book of Malachi the “children of Israel” are addressed in a generic sense. However, since the Levitical Priests were technically also “children of Israel” it’s possible that the passage could have been directed to them exclusively. In Malachi 1:6 the indictments are clearly and specifically directed towards the Priests. From that point forward there is no clear change in the direction of focus for whom those indictments are made. The “Priests” are again specifically addressed in Malachi 2:1. As such, it would seem that the indictment to “bring the whole tithe into the storehouse” was actually directed towards the priests. We see no clear change in focus from the Priests for the indictment of “robbing God” so it is reasonable to assume that the indictment could very well have been directed toward the Priests, rather than the entire nation of Israel. 2. There are reasons to believe that the Levitical Priesthood were the only ones actually allowed in the temple storehouse. Non-Jews were permitted the 'ezrat ha-nashim (the forecourt of the Temple); most Jews were permitted in the 'azarah (inner courtyard); only the priests and Levites were permitted in the heychal (inner court or sanctum); and only the High Priest could enter the kodesh kodashim (Holy of Holies). If only a select people were allowed in the storehouse, then Malachi 3:10 cannot be universally applied. It was the Levites, not all of Israel, who were to “bring up the tenth of the tithes to the house of our God, to the chambers of the storehouse” (Nehemiah 10:38). Therefore, it would seem that Malachi 3:10 was not directed at any others besides the Priests at the time which would further weaken the argument that tithing is to be universally applied today. 3. Since the biblical tithe had nothing to do with paying money from monetary earnings there is no biblical reason to think that if anyone gives money to the church they will be monetarily blessed in return or otherwise cursed. 4. It’s possible that what was happening at the time was that the Priests weren’t bringing the proper quantity and/or quality of tithe items (produce and livestock) to the temple as directed, perhaps keeping the best elements of their portion of the tithe for themselves. God could be indicting the Priests, through the prophet Malachi, to properly execute their part of the system, which included bringing proper sacrifices (quality livestock) and food (produce) for the other temple Priests and temple workers. Only the Priests were allowed to conduct sacrifices. 5. The “floodgates of heaven” has nothing to do with monetary blessing. We first find this same term used by God back in Genesis 7:11 where the windows of heaven were open and rain contributed to the flood, as the fountains of the deep were broken open. In Genesis 8:2 it says the windows of heaven were stopped and the rain from heaven was restrained. Isaiah 24:18 also mentions the windows from on high; this phrase is consistently used for rain water. In Genesis it was a judgment. In Malachi 3 it was to be a blessing - rain on their crops. The nation lived in large part by their agriculture (Husbandry) and depended upon the rain. God's blessing had to do with the provision of water; no rain and they couldn’t produce adequate crops or sustain livestock. Perhaps this passage is emphasizing that if the Priests mishandled their tithes, which was part of the blessing in the Mosaic covenant, a curse would be put on them. The ground would not yield food because God would not allow it to rain which of course would be a detriment to all of Israel. 6. There is no specific indictment for the entire nation of Israel to tithe as only the products of farmers and herdsmen were accepted as tithes. There is no mention of merchants, tradesmen, carpenters etc… ever bartering their crafts or services as a form of tithing or giving a tenth of their earned monetary wages. Therefore, it is unreasonable to conclude that Malachi 3:8-12 applies to the entire nation of Israel. As such, it’s also unreasonable to conclude that it applies to us today either. 7. The book of Malachi was written at the time of Mosaic law in Israel. These laws supported a system of atonement that is now obsolete in the Christian faith as we (Christians) are now under grace, provided by the blood of Jesus.
Hi. When you start to tithe, it may feel like you are jumping of a cliff by giving all that money away, but remember you are jumping into the arms of God, into a glorious paradise of blessings. God will make the 90% of the money you are left with go so much further than the original 100% you had at the beginning.

One day when I read Hebrews...I realized that Jesus became the last perfect Tithe for me on the cross..I broke down crying... The law was given to the Jews and not the gentiles and the Jews couldn’t keep it but somehow we think we can even after Jesus said we are free from the law. Tithe works like a manager and an actor. If you are an actor you need an agent to get you those job opportunities. So that agent makes sure that you are getting the jobs and makes sure you have income and from that income, you give him 10%. That's also why agents now days charge 10%. It's biblical. So tithing is giving thanks for what you have received, and trusting God he will always provide for you, and sowing is planting seeds for what you want and believing it will come and putting in the work for it to come weather its praying for it, envisioning it and physical working towards it. Then your harvest will come. And you sow again for next season. It's awesome!

I used to tithe but I got broke and I had no savings but once I stopped tithing I have savings and happier. I give to charity including church and my family also anyone who needs help. I have taught and teaching my kids not to tithe because it’s not biblical. Tithing in the bible was meant for the priests. However I teach my kids to be generous Just not tithing to the church No. By the way I stopped tithing 5 years ago and I haven’t got broke yet in fact God has been so good to me.

This is my 3rd year after I was stopped tithing, and they have been the most fruitful years of my life. I give, because giving is commended by the Scriptures, & I work hard & commit my ways to the Lord, again as commended by the Bible. The person who tithes should equally keep the rest of the law as it was in the days of old Israel, including animal sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins.

Tithing to me is to remind me that everything comes from God, our provider. When i first started to tithe 10% of my gross salary and i have other financial commitments at the same time, i thought if this what God wants from me, I will just do it. I experienced many blessings including monies deposited into my bank account by an unknown person when my account was dried up and the recent one is, i get to keep my current job when i thought i would be made redundant due to the pandemic. Though tithing is stated in the old testament, whoever wants to follow it, just make sure we do it willingly. Amen.

I have never tithed because it is not a requirement for today. I have been blessed by G-d with scholarships, jobs, a career and many financial blessings and stories to those blessings. I made a similar video to this a while ago but you did a much better job at explaining this. I can’t begin to explain how much blessings have come with tithing. It’s hard every time i give it away but Every day I’m reaping the harvest. The money comes back in bigger amounts in ways i can’t take credit for. I tithe, not out of obligation but it is my own personal form of worship. I enjoy giving God 10% of my all (cheerful giver). Started out with little to nothing, but I've watched God moved me to places in my life financially where no one in my family line has been. I give regular offerings as well. This lines up with what the Bible calls "bountiful giving". If we give sparingly we shall reap sparingly, but if we give bountifully we shall reap the same.

Well I just had to respond to your comment as you mentioned something that may be a bit dangerous in your statement there. You said tithing is been obedient to God, but my question is where did God instruct the new testament church to tithing. To me when you speak obedience it implies God has instructed that and we should have biblical proof of that. I'm not trying to say there is anything wrong using 10% as a measure of giving by the way and I'm not against giving at all.

Tithing helps keep the lights on in the church keeps the AC or heat on. Pays the pastoral staff. I also believe when you partner with a ministry to help spread the word of God then will also be a part of the blessing that comes.from that. If the pastor you help support keeps more then what is right that is up to God to sort out and deal with when he sees fit. If you dont tithe to me it's like being a freeloader. Pray and see where God wants you to give.

Tithing is an Old Testament law. Christians are not under the Old Testament law. So Christians are not required to tithe, just like they are not required to sacrifice a lamb for Passover. Christians are under the new covenant, that is Grace. Under the new covenant of Grace Christians are told to give as each one as decided in their heart to give not grudgingly or under compulsion. Once you set a fixed percentage, like 10% you are no longer giving freely. So give, but don't worry about the percentage.

The New Testament does not replace the Old Testament, it fulfills it. It is in the Old Testament that we see God kick-starting His redemption plan for humanity right after the fall of man. Ten commandments are still valid, tithing is still valid. New testament does not nullified old. Grace is not a license to do wrong, but a liberty to walk in obedience.

I always thought “giving” was to give whatever you could (your talent,time,help,money,etc) I always thought of my tithe as giving whatever I could monetarily or physically. I never knew tithing was only pertaining to our money, so I’m gonna have to continue reading my bible and pray for discernment on whether we as Christians are to tithe 10% of our income.

And immediately you subscribe to doing what the ceremonial law commands after Jesus has completed and fulfilled the Law, means you have to observe all the Law and ridicule the ceremonial sacrifice of Jesus and that keeps you in the Law. You see it is not about how one feels or desires to do but how one follows and understands the ways of the Spirit. This is the reason most of us give God unacceptable worship without even knowing it. But then, unless you have decided in your heart and not because of Leviticus 27 nor Malachi 3 or any other verse about the tithing, to give God a consistent portion of your income. Do it with all diligence. But remember also, that what ever you offer to God, deserves growth; your praise, your prayer time, your offerings(stipulated amount or not), your service to Him in the Church. Whatever it is, deserves to grow as we grow in Him.
I stopped paying tithe a long time ago but then I have had more responsibility and burden to help the Church. I call this growth.

I am currently meditating on Malachi 3:10 (again), and I must admit, I am really having a difficult time reflecting on it. Like you, I have so many questions before, hesitant, mostly, that if I were to give my 10% straight to church, will they really be putting it to good use? I remember a friend of mine told me, if you know where your tithes are going, you are in control and not trusting God about it. Tithing is an act of faith. Definitely. Though you don't see it, you are certain. Thank you for this. I am blessed. Haha. And oh yeah, I was formerly a very pessimistic person. When I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior, my whole life change. It really became new. :) God bless you.
Just to share some discoveries regarding Malachi... When it comes to tithing perhaps no scripture is more referenced than Malachi 3:8-12 which states: 8 “Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me. “But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’ “In tithes and offerings. 9 You are under a curse-your whole nation-because you are robbing me. 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. 11 I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the Lord Almighty. 12 “Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land,” says the Lord Almighty.
At face value, this passage would seem to imply that God is playing the role of either a mob boss or a slot machine - or both if one translates this passage in terms of monetary value. Who but a ruthless dictator would curse another for not carrying out this alleged indictment to regularly pay a percentage of your income - or else! Does this idea really pass the “love test”? Isn’t choice a primary component of love? And if tithing is compulsory as stated under Mosaic law, how can it really be considered a choice or any sort of act of faith? Another possible translation of this passage would suggest this is not the case. Some of the reasons why could be as follows:
1. In the first few verses of the book of Malachi the “children of Israel” are addressed in a generic sense. However, since the Levitical Priests were technically also “children of Israel” it’s possible that the passage could have been directed to them exclusively. In Malachi 1:6 the indictments are clearly and specifically directed towards the Priests. From that point forward there is no clear change in the direction of focus for whom those indictments are made. The “Priests” are again specifically addressed in Malachi 2:1. As such, it would seem that the indictment to “bring the whole tithe into the storehouse” was actually directed towards the priests. We see no clear change in focus from the Priests for the indictment of “robbing God” so it is reasonable to assume that the indictment could very well have been directed toward the Priests, rather than the entire nation of Israel.
2. There are reasons to believe that the Levitical Priesthood were the only ones actually allowed in the temple storehouse. Non-Jews were permitted the 'ezrat ha-nashim (the forecourt of the Temple); most Jews were permitted in the 'azarah (inner courtyard); only the priests and Levites were permitted in the heychal (inner court or sanctum); and only the High Priest could enter the kodesh kodashim (Holy of Holies). If only a select people were allowed in the storehouse, then Malachi 3:10 cannot be universally applied. It was the Levites, not all of Israel, who were to “bring up the tenth of the tithes to the house of our God, to the chambers of the storehouse” (Nehemiah 10:38). Therefore, it would seem that Malachi 3:10 was not directed at any others besides the Priests at the time which would further weaken the argument that tithing is to be universally applied today.
3. Since the biblical tithe had nothing to do with paying money from monetary earnings there is no biblical reason to think that if anyone gives money to the church they will be monetarily blessed in return or otherwise cursed.
4. It’s possible that what was happening at the time was that the Priests weren’t bringing the proper quantity and/or quality of tithe items (produce and livestock) to the temple as directed, perhaps keeping the best elements of their portion of the tithe for themselves. God could be indicting the Priests, through the prophet Malachi, to properly execute their part of the system, which included bringing proper sacrifices (quality livestock) and food (produce) for the other temple Priests and temple workers. Only the Priests were allowed to conduct sacrifices.
5. The “floodgates of heaven” has nothing to do with monetary blessing. We first find this same term used by God back in Genesis 7:11 where the windows of heaven were open and rain contributed to the flood, as the fountains of the deep were broken open. In Genesis 8:2 it says the windows of heaven were stopped and the rain from heaven was restrained. Isaiah 24:18 also mentions the windows from on high; this phrase is consistently used for rain water. In Genesis it was a judgment. In Malachi 3 it was to be a blessing - rain on their crops. The nation lived in large part by their agriculture (Husbandry) and depended upon the rain. God's blessing had to do with the provision of water; no rain and they couldn’t produce adequate crops or sustain livestock. Perhaps this passage is emphasizing that if the Priests mishandled their tithes, which was part of the blessing in the Mosaic covenant, a curse would be put on them. The ground would not yield food because God would not allow it to rain which of course would be a detriment to all of Israel.
6. There is no specific indictment for the entire nation of Israel to tithe as only the products of farmers and herdsmen were accepted as tithes. There is no mention of merchants, tradesmen, carpenters etc… ever bartering their crafts or services as a form of tithing or giving a tenth of their earned monetary wages. Therefore, it is unreasonable to conclude that Malachi 3:8-12 applies to the entire nation of Israel. As such, it’s also unreasonable to conclude that it applies to us today either.
7. The book of Malachi was written at the time of Mosaic law in Israel. These laws supported a system of atonement that is now obsolete in the Christian faith as we (Christians) are now under grace, provided by the blood of Jesus.
Hi. When you start to tithe, it may feel like you are jumping of a cliff by giving all that money away, but remember you are jumping into the arms of God, into a glorious paradise of blessings. God will make the 90% of the money you are left with go so much further than the original 100% you had at the beginning.

Tithe works like a manager and an actor. If you are an actor you need an agent to get you those job opportunities. So that agent makes sure that you are getting the jobs and makes sure you have income and from that income, you give him 10%. That's also why agents now days charge 10%. It's biblical. So tithing is giving thanks for what you have received, and trusting God he will always provide for you, and sowing is planting seeds for what you want and believing it will come and putting in the work for it to come weather its praying for it, envisioning it and physical working towards it. Then your harvest will come. And you sow again for next season. It's awesome!

I'm still waiting for someone to show the scriptures where Christ commands everyone to build church buildings and pay the self exalted preacher cash every weekend. The tithes weren't even cash back then, they were crops. This is why you should be learning from God and not demons.
The greatest blessing that comes from tithing is peace. Besides paying your tithes, use the principle of the tenth to gain wealth, pay your tithe and save a tithe, read The Richest Man in Babylon, basically, you save a tithe for a year, then you invest it or start a business, and continue this process year in and out.

My brother in law made sure he always paid his self exalted preacher's command/coercion of 10% cash in tithes, for his church building (which is unauthorized by God for the use of His Name), and he lost his family's home and his church only told him to make sure he paid his tithes no matter what. I used to tithe but I got broke and I had no savings but once I stopped tithing I have savings and happier. I give to charity including church and my family also anyone who needs help. I have taught and teaching my kids not to tithe because it’s not biblical. Tithing in the bible was meant for the priests. However I teach my kids to be generous Just not tithing to the church No.
By the way I stopped tithing 5 years ago and I haven’t got broke yet in fact God has been so good to me.

Tithing is not about being broke or not being broke physically that is inferior. You cannot measure your blessings based of materialism. It is being rich spirituality which is more superior. It is about the value you give in the things of God. I for one haven't been faithful in tithing in a long time I cannot just dismiss tithing just because I'm not tithing. I pray to God to be faithful in tithing.

Hello. Would love to correct with scripture on how you should not pay tithes and how giving money is not sowing a seed.
Money wasn't received as a tithe item in the bible and there's nothing in the bible that connects money with sewing a seed. Sewing a seed is a spiritual reference, not a monetary one.

This is my 3rd year after I was stopped tithing, and they have been the most fruitful years of my life.
I give, because giving is commended by the Scriptures, & I work hard & commit my ways to the Lord, again as commended by the Bible.
The person who tithes should equally keep the rest of the law as it was in the days of old Israel, including animal sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins.
