IM SO EXCITED to watch you play FF10. I played that game when I was around 8 years old on the ps2 originally, and I am 22 now. It introduced me to RPGs and made me fall in love with the story potential in video games, and to this day it's still my favorite game of all time
"Away" is Joshua's theme, you first hear it at the very start of the game when you control the Phoenix. "Torn from the Heavens" and "Through the Maelstrom" come with the Rising Tide DLC but they're actually tracks from FF14. Square Enix's Creative Studio III worked on both 14 and 16 and they share a lot of key staff including the music team. The Omega dungeon and fight also use an arrangement of Omega's FF14 theme. The Arete Stone can be used to change the appearance of your weapons to another btw, so you could use your current weapon but with the appearance of the Buster Sword, if you wanna try it out.
So glad you returned to do the DLCs!! Rising Tide is my favorite one, you're gonna love that one too. Can't wait for your FF10 playthrough!! FF10 is in my top 5 FF games, and so is FF16!
Looking forward to FFX! Fun fact, in 2017, at the Final Fantasy XIV fan festival in Frankfurt, Final Fantasy was awarded the Guinness World Record for most prolific RPG series. It counted 87 titles at the time. I was there and I remember being absolutely stunned by that number. It must be over 100 by now and I've probably 'only' played around 50 of them. Some are impossible to find these days unfortunately...
87? I assume you're including several versions of some games; she doesn't need to do everything. Probably 20something games of real relevance to her. And she's done 3 now. But yeah, its immense.
@@SwobyJ To be clear, it's not me counting, it's Square-Enix ;). I just think it's interesting that there are way more FF games than people think. But yeah I would assume for example when a version of the same game is releasing in a different form on a different platform, they would count it separately. Like for Final Fantasy 1 for example, I would imagine they count at least the NES version, FF Origins on ps1 and FF1 Pixel remaster as 3 different games... I don't think they count the exact same game releasing on multiple platforms separately. But at the same time, don't underestimate how many Final Fantasy games came out that most of us never heard of or never even made it out of Japan. For example in 2019 they launched a Final Fantasy Card game in Japan only. It was shut down a year later...

This was awesome! The music and tower design were top-notch! Maggie delivers the most exciting boss fights. I was on edge right to the end and had the biggest smile after! Let's go! I can't wait for the next dlc and to see you play Final Fantasy X.
Awesome news! I have been waiting for you to start FF10. There is so much I would like to tell you about the game but that would be horrible on my part. I can't wait to see you on this next FF journey. You mentioned how the music effects the game play and when you play 10 I bet some of the music will stay with you forever!
What a picture perfect finish!!! Loved both DLC's and am looking forward to your attempt with the Rising Tide. Also the music for the Omega fight is just 😘 perfect.
Such a nice surprise!! Your XVI playthrough was a joyful experience all the way and my introduction to your channel, so I was wishing for you to try the DLCs. Omega is such an intense fight!
Omega is a famous enemy first seen in an older FF and it was considered a Superboss in that game. It was optional but we all encountered it to meet a swift GAME OVER within seconds of the fight starting hahaha you could imagine how excited we where to see it come back as the echoes of the fallen
I understand, cause im a completionist and trophy guy also. So i usually get to get into everything the game has to offer. Coming back from FF7:Rebirth and statting Kena: Bridge of Spirits at the same time. Relearning the controls took a moment but then it was second nature again. Leviathan adds a bit more depth than Echos of the Fallen. When you get to it, make sure to keep playing after finiahing. You get a few extra surprises.
You dont need to charge Gigaflare. Thats megaflare you are thinking of. Gigaflaare is instant massive damage. Bahamuts feat is wings of light/megaflare which you charge up by dodging. Hope that helps and you see this before the next DLC
Like others in the comments already, I cant WAIT for your FF10 playthrough that's supposedly coming this week Kasta!! :D Seriously, that game's story leaves such an impression on you that it will stick with you long after you beat it - it's truly that amazing. Would it be okay if I made a small menu settings suggestion regarding your FF10 playthrough? Assuming you're playing the remastered version of the game, I highly recommend playing the game set on the Original version of the music over the Remastered version - while the latter is nice too, I feel like a lot of the prominent melodies you hear in the original get diluted in many of the tracks in the remastered versions. Of course it's totally up to you, but maybe it's something you could consider/do a comparison of for yourself to decide. :) Either way, excited for your experience and phenomenal commentary!!
Btw ma'am , little trivia regarding the main boss of the DLC. The thing is, "OMEGA" is not a new boss, you are looking the boss that popularize the "Final Fantay SUPERBOSS" in-fact its been around for a while in the franchise since it's first introduction in FF5 more than 30 yrs ago. This is also not the first time it came back, it has appeared through out the series as either an optional quest or a hidden boss. Another fun fact, back in the day people didn't seem to not like FF5 due to how simple or downgraded the plot was and I sort of get it since FF4 was such a big success that people seem uninterested as the story progressed. However, FF5 may not have been a fan favorite it did introduce arguably 3 of the franchise's most notorious reoccurring secret bosses that put FF5 on the map. The 3 bosses being "OMEGA" "SHINRYU" and lastly a TRUE Fan favorite "The MIGHTY GILGAMESH". As soon as players encountered the 2 hidden bosses Shinryu and Omega, things became more of a challenge because Shinryu really gave players a run for their money because of it's mechanics to respond as soon as something hits it but then after fighting finishing Shinryu they come face-to-face with FF5's TRUE SUPERBOSS ... OMEGA. Oh Boy.... back then as soon as they fight this thing , bodies start dropping.
It's a great Saturday afternoon for Echoes of the Fallen FF XVI as always You and Ginger have a nice rest of the day and take care thank you awesome Kasta.🥛🐈:)
I'm so excited for FFX! The DLCs for XVI were nice I wonder if you'd eventually play the Xenoblade series at some point, now that you're on board with JRPGs 😊
Another great video Maggie and I love it when you get overly excited, it’s fun and entertaining to watch....please don’t change😂. I have the game, but haven’t played it yet, so I’m glad I’m seeing a recent play through of it, even if they’re DLC videos, it still gives me an idea of the gameplay and how it differs from FF7 Rebirth. Hope you and Ginger are well and having an awesome weekend.
I’d forgotten how fantastic this world is. I want more. Still looking forward to FFX. The only entry in the franchise I don’t have any experience with. *Holy smokes that ending… last second doesn’t describe it 😳👏
Going to admit. I was confused a little by level being at 48. Then i had to remember I replayed new game+ on Final Fantasy mode. (Not saying you have to. Just me going after platinum trophies and exclusive weapons to that mode) Once I remembered that, everything atarted to make more sense. (In final fantasy mode I think the dlc level caps at 100 for Eachoes and 110 for Rising Tide)
Never been more excited for more FF16 content! Hope you get around the Rising Tide to fulfill this masterpiece of a game! Also FFX on the horizon PUMPED!!
13:55 FFVIII is so goood! (Also, it happens to be Ben Starr's (Clive) favorite). And hey, you got a taste of some good love moments in this game too! (Clive & Jill, especially in the final 25% of the game) 36:55 You missed your uncle Byron during your stroll at the Hideaway, hah.
Honestly, the dlc is rated very well and looks awesome. I couldn't play it though because my brain is dumb.... I would have to start the game over and I don't have the energy to do that. For w/e reason. My simple minded brain does not like DLC that takes place prior to the ending of the game when said game is already beaten.. essentially going back in time. At least according to my brain. It was the same issue for Cyberpunk DLC. I had to start a brand new playthrough to try and play it. And the worst part was, I never got to it. I had played the game so much at that point that I ended up getting bored with all of the missions I had done over and over making differing characters and builds. :(
Back for the FF10 playthrough. Never realised 16 had a cheeky update. Have to play this quickly. Hope you like 10, it’s pretty awesome. Is the plan to go further back?
Ma'am you need to go to Black Thorn (the Blacksmith) and reforge the Fallen Enforcer into possibly the Strongest weapon you can get at this first playthrough outside the NG+
Also ma'am I don't make a habit of telling people what to do in their game playthrough but please consider this tip ... MAX Odin's Eikonic feat "ARMY OF DARKNESS" to fully unleash possibly the biggest damage dealer in the game, if your familiar with Vergil from DMC then this would be his style
Hello Maggie! Do you like coffee or tea? If it’s coffee, then I recommend you try Ghost Welch’s Grape 🍇. Its there new flavor. It’s delicious! Anyway, have a badass play through! Love the content
Maggie, I think you would love SNES Secret of Mana. It has a PS4 remake, but I prefer the original. Plus, if you have more than 1 party member, a friend can play with you. You can always let AI control the other party members, so friends don't have to commit to playing 100% of the game with you. Ever played it?
