- Well folks as the title says Faye has spoke her mind and put the brakes on selling the big gs for now and in reality it's probably a good shout so we'll just see how it goes , so also mentioned in the video was the faulty mic that Faye had in her helmet for our glamping trip last week well as you can hear that's been sorted (my bad) . my eye appointment went as good as can be expected and should have a new lens in a weeks time .

Like any addiction, you're always in recovery. You are officially hooked on GS's. And that's no bad thing.
Portugal would be an excellent choice. Just got back. Again. The Algarve is warming up nicely and there is warm, dry tarmac with your name on it.

I also enjoy being here at the Locks, as it sort of feels homely.., and I think you might know why, at least Faye might!
There are several videos on YT, on how to ride and feel comfy as a small person, especially from US creators. I'll see if I can find that particulary good one that helped a 5' 1" girl, several years back, and send it over!
Jocelin snow was a great help to Faye her videos are great at giving confidence to the shorter rider ... thanks for the coffees and idea 💡 it's really appreciated 👍

Yep the footrest should work just fine, the mounting point are on the frame and the frame is the same for the standard and the ADV, plus if you check on the BMW spare part cataloge you get both option.
Ahhhh good call as standard pegs are to small for my feet .
@@TinsonTourpegs are interchangeable, but you need to make sure you get the adventure peg springs as well. They are different.
Yes the GS is the GS, i'm on my 4th (1 Hexhead - 1 wethead (ADV) - 2 shiftcam (ADV) (yes i bought the same bike!)) (for a total 280.000 k + of nearly trouble free ride, Just change the OEM battery and listen to the bike and you will be fine!
Good news about the gs,still, miss mine but knocking on a bit now so sticking with me nc and vtx .you seem to get a few test bikes now may get a long timer one now your channel is growing.

Sensible decision! A great bike .. looks awesome in black . I rode across USA in 1200 triple black .. sold it to a pal .. and would have it back .. just enjoy the ride
Yeah absolutely agree , i change bikes far to often and to many times times I've come to regret it
For the 3rd bike how about another BM, maybe a R or RS. As with all BMWs you can get a range of seats so you could get a low one for your Mrs and a tall one for you, giving you 2 bikes in 1?
That would be great but Fayes inside leg doesn't fit with any of the rs range ... she's taking the new cruiser r12 out this weekend if the reach to the bars isn't to stretched so fingers crossed for that
@@TinsonTour ok no probs, it was just a general idea to have 2 seats of diffetent heights so all you had to do was swap them over. Has she tried the low R/RS seat? It fits both bikes either 1200 or 1250 and the seat height on that is only 760mm. My dealer had one they swapped over for me to try when I was test riding both. On the off chance shevlikes the seat height but doesn't like the idea of a naked bike but thevreach on the RS is too much you can get tubular bars off the R sport as a factory option now or for used bikes many fit up and back bar risers plus there's also an after market tubular bar conversion available too. Obviously you could do something similar with other makes of bikes and buy a spare seat off ebay etc and get a specialist upholsterers to make it lower/higher. We had a low 1250rs for 4 months but faye couldn't reach the bars she's only 4ft11" with a short reach
Ok no probs, the search continues then....... Once you've sorted that out I recon you could swap your 1200 for a low milage 1250GS TE TB and she might not even notice 😅 @@TinsonTour
Haha our old 2019 1250hp was the reason we downgraded, for me it was to much money for not enough real world difference... Great bike though

A non existent summer last year followed by a long wet winter, combined with health issues can knock you off kilter. If we ever get a decent bit if warmth and sun things will look different. With regards to you keeping broken equipment, my dad used to keep blown fuses and keep them in the same tin box as the new fuses!!! I kid you not! 🤦

Funny u should mention that , we where booked in for a explorer test but they wouldn't let me take Faye as pillion which was the whole point so tried a different dealer but same response so not bothered since
Had 6 GS’s over the years Shaun, fab bike, defo will go for one again, presently on a New RT1250, really like it, it’s my second one now.

Hope the mince pie will eventually be sorted. If it’s any info for you, had cataracts removed from both mince pies prob 6/7 yrs ago. They inserted a lens into each eye… Nvr looked back.

Tbh I've had a few gsa's last 1 being the 2019 1250 , think tyre noise is defo down to the rubber ... but gotta be honest i just get what tyres are on offer at the time 🤣
Had five gs's and changed to a standard africa twin last year nothing wrong with it just don't seem to gel with it like the gs, only thing if I change back would probably opt for the standard gs rather than the gsa.
Yeah we've had our share of gs's , loved the African Twin Adventure Sport but like u say just not quite as refined especially when fully loaded 2up
Hi so glad your keeping the GS it suits you down to the ground Shaun. Not my cup of tea personally as i am a short arse and ride a cruiser. All the best with your appointment. Not sure if you have considered Mallorca as a biking holiday, riding through the mountains, you can hire bikes there for the week etc. Not done it myself yet but have several friends that have. I should do it soon really as it is the island only 25 miles away from where we live, in fact most days you can see Mallorca in the distance.

No pal hgv test are different as uve already passed a manual car ... just seems crazy as there are still split box wagons about
