Really love this technology however I think Intel could’ve driven a much quicker and broader adoption of this great technology by having integrated the Thunderbolt controller into the CPU a few years ago
Matthew R. I’d say it’s more about the controller chips weren’t made affordable enough for PC makers to include in the vast majority of their consumer-level offerings. Luckily Thunderbolt 3 has tied itself to the USB-C connector and has finally allowed such a great technology to be used by more consumers!
