The quality of THOSE GLOVES! Im obsessed. The fingers look so comfortable and elegant, the quality of the thumb fit looks utterly mystical. How dare you!
With sewing videos, I often end up skipping through the making process to see the final result. Yours are the only ones where I’m captivated the entire time. A work of art from beginning to end x
This means so much to me! For me personally the journey of getting from the idea to the final result is all the fun so I love to hear that I could interest you in it as well ♥️thanks for watching
Frieda, as always, beautiful. Your accent is quite good, I'm sure better than my German (which I learned from an Austrian.) Yes, the sleeves need to be shorter, but they would lose the drama. Bridgerton fans would not care about the sleeves! That gray is stunning. Thank you and keep up the beautiful work. You're almost at 60K subscribers--yay!
Yes, she is an artist. I am amazed by her skill each and every time. Her creations are unbelievably beautiful. Thank you for sharing your creativity with us.
I will always love the fairy tale-like feel of your designs and this dress is no different! As for my favorite part of sewing, I love drawing and stroking gathers, especially into sleeves! I love puffy sleeves and stroking them into evenness with a pin before pinning and stitching them always gives me a thrill.
I like what you do and how you do it. Basting makes the garment flawless and refined. A small suggestion about adding the pearls , it is a good idea but instead of using fishing line if you knew about beading ie making jewelry you would have used silk for beading a special one and very strong and between any pearl you make a knot. these are the extra skills we learn abd that makes our work unique and outstanding. Try as well to learn sime hand embroidery even crochet, knitting, silk painting carry on learning one did you will get where the dreams are. well done
Frieda, I am in awe of this beautiful, Ocean, themed dress! You truely captured the essence of a stormy sea! I love your color choices. I think some would have chosen some blue or turquoise. As an artist myself, I think your color choices are stunning! The waves and water drop pearls, made such a lovely and moody feel/ look to the dress. Then your sleeves 🎉 I loved them, and I am glad, for this dress you didn't make them shorter! I enjoy the cutting out of fabric, and doing a long row of hand stitching! Ironing is my absolute favorite task we have to do to have our sewing project turn out well. For me, ironing is like meditaion, I find it so comforting and relaxing. Speaking of irons, I like your new one! Are you liking it? Thank you for sharing your incredible skills, artistic talents, and beautiful creations with us all! Your amazing! With happiness, Audri
Do you think you could make a tutorial, a full one, very detailed on how to make it- how to design - what to think about - the maths - the fabrics you need to use- what different types of fabrics do - how to care for the dress when it's made and stored. If you could do this, I would be forever grateful, or if you can't do this could you direct me somewhere I could go to learn? I'm trying to make my friend a dress and I'm not too sure where to start and I can't find anything really on RUclips that could help me
I just adore this dress and I personally wouldn’t change a single thing about it! I love how it feels like something from a high fantasy novel about an ocean goddess and her dress can reflect her moods and this is giving off a quite fury vibe that I am so here for! Frieda, you are such a talented artist and sewist, I just adore everything you’ve made on this channel and am so excited to hear your working to digitize your patterns.
Like you, the Regency period style is by far my least favourite era of fashion, but you always design and create such a masterpeice that it's almost impossible not to love. Also, I must confess that your english is incredible, and you describe everything with such poetry. Your videos are always a joy to watch. Thank you for sharing your gift Frieda. 👏💓
I'm in awe of the colour work yo done with the fabric throughout layering it❤. It's a wonderful regency dress in my opinion! I don't think the sleeves needed to be shorter, they are actually my favourite part on the dress! I really have been looking forward for the approach on the stormy Ocean, since you let us choose the name and style for it on IG! The original design already was very very stunning and I still hope to see your version of an interchangeable dress one day, this Stormy ocean is an absolutely stunner!
oh woooooow!! This is gorgeous!! I know this was inspired by Bridgerton, but I would have hoped for something like this in the liveaction The little Mermaid movie as Ariels seafoam dress. Obviously less stormy and more of a lighter blue to go with the color scheme of the movie, but the tull and the sleeves and the pearls are gorgeous and what I woud had imagined a dress made from the sea would look like!!
Beautiful! ✨ Truly Siren- Like as it looks as though you are gracefully rising from the stormy waves. This is magnificent work! Thank you so much for sharing. ❤️
This is a fabulous creation, and you look so beautiful and elegant wearing the dress and gloves. I am mesmerized by watching you work. Thank you very much for sharing this with us. The empire waist of the Regency period is, in my opinion, flattering on nearly every body size and shape. I love it, and you made it look amazing! 💖 PS. I think the pearls are truly inspired. 🤩
Waouh ! 🌸🌸🌸
My favorite parts would be the decoration part and hemming long seams. Least favorite would be starting any project cause I have details planned but sometimes lack motivation to get started
I've always wanted to make cosplays, I have ones I desperatly want to do. But you make me want to make dresses that I will feel good in. Dresses that the little girl inside me dreamed of wearing as she disasociated into her fantasy worlds to escape bullying in real life. Maybe.. I can start with old bedsheets in donation stores and practice my skills.
I really enjoy felling seams, it's like putting the icing on a cake for me. I don't like plackets because I haven't done them often enough to know what I'm doing. I also dislike anything to do with French seams. And I'm not good at sewing on buttons or closures, I think you really nailed the whole ocean thing, love how the tulle edges did what they did when you ironed them.
Your talent and dedication is unmatched. I always look forward for your videos. Thank you for sharing your art with us. I was so happy to see that your videos was sponsored.
I think my least favorite part of sewing is using the sewing machine :') But I get around that by hand sewing everything. I think my favorite is reverse engineering whatever pattern I drafted at the wee hours of the morning after I've slept 😆Gorgeous work, as always
I love your inspirational videos! The music, your voice, the wonderful making sounds & cinematography (& editing). So calming and awesome (both at once) As for sewing, or similar collage-likemaking, my favorite part is when I think some random things will go together nicely, then, I piece the bits together to make a whole object, and it works! So satisfying. (I made a sticker collage during this video)
Thank you so much! And you’re right! It’s a bit like in this videos with all those fabrics together. When something matches in your had it doesn’t necessarily match in reality. Your right, that is amazing! Thanks for sharing and it’s so cool that you did something creative while watching the video ♥️
Your dress is beautiful and I love your sewing skills. The dress is romantical, soft flowing and I could give you so many compliments, it's absolutely stunning. You look gorgeous in the dress.
Very dreamy and beautiful! The full, slightly longer sleeves with the slits are giving me 16th or early 17th century vibes. I believe, those were called 'paned sleeves'? They do go very well with the rest of the silhouette, though, wheather they're period accurate or not!
I hope someday you can do tutorials on how to join several layers of sleeves into several layers of bodice. The ones I knew were either connecting the first ones then ignore the middle layers, and directly connect the last layer with blind stitching. 😢 Hope you can share how you do them? ❤
I don't know if this will help, but I also struggle with drawing when I'm designing clothes so it might. I've been finding similarly shaped outfits/people wearing those outfits online and drawing my designs over them. It helps me keep proportions and visualize exactly what I want it to look like. Hopefully it helps you design!
Tom Browne also can't draw but he's one of the most legendary fashion designers today. You really don't need to know how to draw in order to make beautiful garments as long as you have a vision in your head all is good
Hemming and sleeves are the worst, I love pressing and sewing seams flat, that is most satisfying for me. I have to say, his is such lovely and sophisticated design and style, I especially liked the sleeves. I also noticed a lovely design in your sktech book, I would love to see that dress made- 2:44 the sketch on the far right. The tulle on the dress looked lovely. Both are lovely, but if I have to give my preference, I loved that voluminous tulle hugging the dress beneath.
I adore how you manipulated the tulle to make it appear like waves-it looks incredible! Out of curiosity, why did you choose to use iron-on interfacing instead of sew-in interfacing for the bodice? I’m always so curious about choices like that!
That dress is beautiful! My least favorite part of sewing is trying to get whatever it is to fit properly. I could do 5 mockups & still not get the correct fit.
Hello Frieda, Omgg I have just found your YT channel, you do exquisite dreamy work and add the music you choose...wowww I LOVE IT. Would you be inclined to share the music authors each time you post a video? It's lovely lovely to watch and listen!

The tulle layers on the bodice and skirt are completely stunning and really give it the feel of crashing waves!
Thank you ♥️

Absolutely a gorgeous sea storm!
This is by far my most favorite dress you made to date:)
Please do a dress design inspired by The Empress series!!! Sissi is iconic!
Oooh love Bridgerton. So happy you did this 🥰🩵✨
absolutely stunning as always 😍
i wish i could learn to sew from her.
I learn something new from her every time I watch her create something. She is so creative.
Your Bridgeton inspired Stormy Ocean Dress is absolutely gorgeous! Thank you, Frieda.
Beautiful and flowing.
The dress is absolutely stunning. Great job
A beautiful dress, I love the ocean theme
It's beautiful. Amazing work. It's just stunning how you layered the tulle with the bodice to look like waves.

Such a stunning dress! So many parts I'm absolutely in love with.. the wavy skirt, the movement of the sleeves, the pearls, the color theme!

I’m so excited to learn from you on my journey to making my own wedding dress. You are so inspiring.
this is lovely! my favorite part of sewing is when i just get in the swing of sewing itself. my least favorite is cutting out the fabric x.x

I have learned to love setting sleeves but I don't think I'll ever love hemming or finishing edges haha. Your dress is gorgeous!
That's so gorgeous! I love the beads and the matching gloves. The sleeves, even if they're not very regency, are so stunning!
Wow, I absolutely loved the waves on the skirt!! What a beautiful way to use chiffon 🌊😍
This is all so lovely and beautiful, and I totally agree that the pearls are the best part! They make the whole dress look really magical ❤
