Lady, I absolutely love your transparency and humor! You formulate just like I do! “A little of this, a little of that and I pray to God it comes out like we want!” 😂 It’s obvious you know your color theory and are able to allow artistic and creative flair within those boundaries. I love your creative and thorough approach to beautiful hair color and your ability to be real with us. Thank you!
Beautifully done and love how detailed/diligent this tutorial is!!! I’ve been trying to get my hair like this all year. Two salons and one round at home, now I’m going to try this. 🙏🏽♥️
I love your method of balayging from top to bottom! I'm gonna give that a try because the bottoms always come out lighter than the top. Also your toner method is awesome. This helped me so much
I absolutely LOVE the way you do your ashy mushroom brown colors!! It’s so beautiful, I would totally have you do my hair if I wasn’t located on the east coast😄 what would you recommend using during the coloring process that would provide the absolute least amount of chemical damage to the hair? I finally got my hair back to a healthy state after it being brittle for so long due to processing it so much that I’m really nervous to go back to that again!
Definitely take your time lifting your hair if you feel like it gets damaged easily. Use the best products your stylist recommends, maybe treatments every few weeks. You should be fine using chemicals as long as it's not over processing the hair.
hair by Kristi Jennings thank you so much!! My hair can be easily damaged for sure, I have naturally straight and thin hair so I constantly feel like I have to be especially careful with everything I do. I very much appreciate the advice♥️
I learned so.manh things and tips all in this one video...for true ash lift 2 levels lighter...ugh that was an issue for me on my last client! Awesome video! Thank you and it looks gorgeous btw!!!!!
Hi Kristi I'm a new subie from uk and love your work as a stylist of 35 yrs really appreciate your approach and end result was Amazing 🙏 thank you so much 😊
Your work is freaking amazing 😍😍😍 I don’t know if someone has already suggested this but, you can always fluctuate developer too instead of moving around the head. I Start with 10 vol and mix higher as I go.🤷🏻♀️ But, you freaking KILL it every time. I’ve learned so much from you already!
This is what I've been asking for on and off when I can get my hair done for almost 5 year's now🥺 I end up with the chunky skunk look ..even AFTER I learn of toner from 1 hairdressing then alot on my own and then tried VERY politely mention it * hint hint* to everyone else they use it. I've fixed it better myself with a Sally's wella
Oh sad! Hopefully you'll be able to get it! It's hard to recommend for every person since it depends on what you lift to. Or how much warmth there is..... be careful you don't turn the hair green/ blue
Damn girl that looks awesome! You so detailed too! I appreciate that! The patience you hair dressers have! When I’m at home slopping this shit on i can’t wait! Lol I’m rinsing too early. 😑
Hello can you list all the products you used in this video? My aunt wants to do this hair color on me but it’s kinda hard to tell what you used after the Paul Michelle’s products thanks!!
Your work is beyond gorgeous and I LOVE you ask/ double check with ppl what their going for I want to just send you a few pictures of these mushroom colors so you can tell ( idc if you guess n i end up w blue hair!) Me what toners to buy
Did you lighten her roots before toning at all did you say? How will her hair grow out, does it need to be maintained or will it transition to natural roots gradually? AMAZING work I wish my hair looked like that!
hair by Kristi Jennings 🤓 right! Sometimes I use so much it seems but the cost .. 🏆. How long did it take you ? I only book one at a time so I just charge for my time by the hour these days.
This full service was $340 for everything, no haircut. For major blonding services I charge $75/ hour. That's the going rate in our small farm town in wa state. About an hour north of Seattle. For additional bleach I charge $15/ bowl. I never really double book cause I want to dedicate my full time to my clients especially since they're mostly 1st time clients and I don't know how long the service will be.
Hello! If you were to do the root smudge in Paul Mitchell the Demi what formula would you suggest? Beautiful work! You give me the courage to push myself and step out of my comfort zone! Thank you for the amazing videos! Btw from Olympia WA. 💚
Omg 😍 I have virgin hair. Naturally very dark brown. I was wondering if it’s possible to get my hair this color without having to go through the gold blonde phase?
Hello! My guess is not, as we all have underlying warm tones to our hair that's exposed as we bleach thru it. So to have ashy tones, you'd have to lift a few shades lighter than the level of color you're wanting to cool it back down. Always remember that hair extensions are always an option and require no coloring to your natural hair
Very gorgeous!! Why don't you write down in the description...the product brand & formula( s)?? WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED? I'D LOVE FOR YOU TO DO MY HAIR!!
Hello! And thank you!!!! I’m located in Mt. Vernon Wa. I don’t write them down cause I didn’t think anyone honestly reads the description and also cause I usually try to always record my formulation or what I use in my video so that people can see. Knowing someone is interested in that tho, I will. Thank you for your feedback!

Hi there! Just curious as to why you use the framar paint brush to do your foils as apposed the thinner ones? Do you feel you get more saturation with the bigger brush?

Oh hello from local Washington! I would say using maybe 8pa /6aa with some 6n? That might be close......
I love this. I wish I could see the front though. 😕
Hi I love your work. Im currently a student, What would this formula be in a Wella Color Touch for toner?
Love this video! Did you rinse out the Paul Mitchell toner before you put on the Schwarzkopf root shadow or did you let it all process together?
Thank you for watching! I rinsed out first.....
is this process a single process or highlights at a salon?
This was at the salon. Lightened then color melted
What formula would you use for roots and ends if it were shades eq? Gorgeous!
Im not really sure what it would cross over to since I don't use that line
Do you always water down bleach so not have bleeding, I know one of your other you suggested that?
Omg 😍

Hello! Im in wa state, an hour north of Seattle

Yes! Should be able to accomplish this with no existing color on your hair

Yes! It's so pretty!
Can you share the bleach formulations? Thanks
Sure! If I understand what you're asking, I use schwarzkopf BlondeMe lightener with 20 vol and olaplex

Hi there! Just curious as to why you use the framar paint brush to do your foils as apposed the thinner ones? Do you feel you get more saturation with the bigger brush?
Hello! I like the saturation and also feel like I don't have to work as hard with the paint brush moving the hair applying bleach.
How long do you let the root shadow process for?
Hello! It was probably on total for 25/30 minutes
If you wanted this exact result on an older client that had about 1 inch of natural grey regrowth, can you tell me your formulation?
Im not sure exactly, but id still have to foil first, so id probably still tone almost the same
Literally best RBF ever lol. No hate love watching you because you always look annoyed 😂😂😂.
Omg 😂😂😂 this cracked me up
@@hairbykristijennings6648 yea but i love your vids RBF and all.
Do you use olaplex in the mix and which number one is it please? Highlight my own hair and want to start adding it when i highlight
Yes! I use the whole line thru the whole process.
Did you do equal parts for the blonde?
I typically mix bleach for the consistency I like.... not too thick, not runny tho
I wish you could color my hair. But You know I live in AZ 1😊😘🕊❤❤❤❤🙌🙌🙌🙌
I know, so far!
Question, what if u want this same look if u r starting out with 1b ? Do u cover the entire head? Without the sub sections I’d love to c this transformation from 1b to this
So you have to lift her roots two shades and then use like a 3N or 3A for the shadow root?
It really depends on the desired level. If someone wants to be 6 ash, then lifting to level 7/8 is best to tone down.
How long does something like this take?
Roughly 5 hours
How much did you charge for this whole process?
I believe I went over that at the end of the video, I think roughly the $400 range
I missed where you said the toning formula for the ends.
Hello! At minute 18:57 shows what I used for the brightest blonde. Also, after applying all the glosses, the last few minutes, I ran the mid tone thru the ends to double up on making it extra cool
