WOW,These are so pretty especially the string wrapped tree, this has just gone very close to the top of my "Must make" list,That you for a great tutorial from a new subscriber here in the UK. .
Aira Tran DIY Pleased to give it,I was thinking how cute the string wrap tree would look with a flameless tealight inside flickering away, sort of bury the base of the tree in fake snow and set the tealight on the snow and the tree over the top.I am so in love with this tree lol I need some modge podge, urgently !!!
Elaine White Now that sounds amazing! You might not need modge podge if you have some regular glue. A few people told me that they used glue and it worked just fine. Good luck with your tree! :)
I so love this Aira,I have ordered my string and I do have some tacky glue, maybe that will work ,will give it a try out while I wait for my modge podge.x

I must also compliment you on your amazing video quality...I watch tons of video to get ideas and YOURS is by far one of the BEST I have seen on RUclips! BRAVO! Plez keep them coming! God Bless! luv, lynda a. xo p.s. can't wait to make these xmas trees!
Great Tutorial! Which Mod Podge did you use for this? Hard coat? Stiffy fabric stiffener? Matte? Gloss? Satin? Sooooo many to choose from but I'd prefer to get the right product. Also, what size/thickness cardstock? Does that even matter?
sulipta tripathy Thanks! :) I got my mod podge at Walmart. Not sure if there's anything can substitute for that because I haven't tried other types of glue.
BeuTful Not sure if you'd given it enough time for the mod podge to dry, but what I could think of now is to cut out some pieces of clear plastic from plastic folder (the one you use to keep documents) and use mod podge to glue it on the inside. Hopefully the clear plastic won't show since mod podge dries clear. Good luck! :)
you have to use much more string than pictured here, my first attempt was a disaster! Then I modified and my cones are beautiful, I even added lights inside!
Amazing! Thanks for sharing! I am just wondering could you tell me which kind of mod podge did you use? Was it the kind called craft glue or matte...? thanks~
Hi! I tried this out.. bt it doesn't stay firm. It's leaning to a side. What could be the reason?I used cling film instead of polythene. Is it because of that?

Hey this looks really great.. can you tell me please where can i fing this modge podge? and is there any substitute to that?
sulipta tripathy Thanks! :) I got my mod podge at Walmart. Not sure if there's anything can substitute for that because I haven't tried other types of glue.
ok i shall check this out at walmart.. thnx again.
Thank you for this! Did you leave the plastic wrap inside the string tree?
How do you get it to not collapse after you remove the support? I made this and it is slowly leaning to one side not able to support the weight.
Good luck! :)
amazing ..
good job
+Olfat Naguib Thanks, Olfat! 😊
you have to use much more string than pictured here, my first attempt was a disaster! Then I modified and my cones are beautiful, I even added lights inside!

Do you leave the plastic wrap on or take it off with the cone?
+Nancy B. Just what I was wondering - it looks like its left inside - could add battery lights inside too.
It's very nice. Gonna make one for next year for sure!!
some chose to leave it on and some take it off
very nice
Can you use clear school glue instead of mod podge? (For the tree)
Amazing! Thanks for sharing! I am just wondering could you tell me which kind of mod podge did you use? Was it the kind called craft glue or matte...? thanks~

Robyn Morris no she did not
Hi! I tried this out.. bt it doesn't stay firm. It's leaning to a side. What could be the reason?I used cling film instead of polythene. Is it because of that?
