I think the full-auto weapons should be inaccurate like this. World War 1 was fought with mostly (bolt-action) rifles. If the machineguns and submachineguns were more powerful, evrybody would use them over rifles. i'd hate that.
Well its already that way isn't it. All the tryhards use the MP18 to hose people down, once they get their TNT there wont be any reason to use anything else. I really hope LvlCap doesnt get his way regarding the automatics, they should be fairly inaccurate (save for the LMGs when deployed) no matter how much tapfire "skill" you put into it.
The machine gun thing you told us about, and how they're not accurate up close is a good thing. People weren't running around with machine guns in World War 1, winning in close quarters or anything else. I like that they're going for the authentic feel of it. If you COULD do any of that, this would just be a Battlefield game with a WW1 skin on it, and I'm glad that's not what they're going for.
the new revive mechanics seem to require the person who died to press q and request a revive before a medic can revive them. (you can see the button show on the death camera, next to the deploy button)
My complaints and ideas : - Make unscoped bolt-actions all class weapons and make them usable, it's WW1 goddamit I want to see some good old rifles and less auto weapons - Make gaz grenades also affect people inside vehicles, it makes sense and gives more tools to battle vehicles -I think the fact that MGs aren't as accurate is a good thing. MGs are supposed to be support weapons, IRL you can't stand up fire them correctly. Besides you said the bipod is more practical, so let's use it. -Change that god damn commander voice - Although the tanks may be a bit OP right now, they should be very powerful imo, and in BF4 they were too easy to take down, every class had some sort of anti-armor weapon. - Also what is up with some of these sight ? The Mondragon or the Lewis gun for example have really weird sight, iron sights don't look like that IRL.
The commander voice is a placeholder, I guarantee. Although you kinda contradicted yourself about the effectiveness against tanks, since there won't be rocket launchers and AT grenades are only good for self-defense or stealth due to the range, there needs to be other options. They say that there will be AP sniper rifle rounds, and some sort of rocket gun for assault, so I hope that these will provide anti-armor options while not being TOO powerful. That way tanks can't just dominate with impunity, but also aren't easily destroyed like a tank against a few rockets. As for the "weird sight", of course those aren't the original iron sights. Those are a WWI-era "reflex" sight, meant to give a wider field of view. But they also seem to have a fog in the glass, making it a tad harder to see hostiles at range while looking through them, at least to me, so they seem to be a trade-off for iron sights designed for shorter range. I'm sure original irons will be available.
Daniel Sinks Wait, so I realize the Lewis sight is a scope, but the thing mounted on the Trench gun and on the Mondragon rifle is also a weird, antique, "reflex" ?
Julien Thévenoz Well a more appropriate term is aperture sight, but yes. Rather than projecting the reticle on the glass by laser, it's just part of the glass like a sniper scope, and the rear sight helps to line it up accurately. I've heard the name before but I can't remember it.
Can only agree with you totally. The game does encourage WW1 style combat. But mordern combat with WW1 skinned rifles ! I would also love to see the tanks be slower than running, and Remove those F**cking Parachutes !!
Some of your complaints are due to the fact that this is a WW1 game. It's silly that you can even run and gun with these machine guns, so stable fire would be mostly impossible. Those things were huge. Also the melee combat is accurate, but, I feel that maybe they should implement a block and riposte mechanic, since soldiers were trained in basic hand to hand combat. My greatest complaint is that there is too much automatic fire. The bolt-action rifle should be an all class weapon (without the scope then).
Julius N Eh... Verdun has that and it's kind of awesome? If you haven't played it, do yourself a favour and learn what it's like to die 20 times in a row just to get the satisfaction of capturing a trench and finally scoring a kill. I'm all for making consessions because "it's a game/move/show",but keep it grounded yeah?
To elaborate: I don't have a problem with how the planes handle at all. Those things were nightmares to fly and LevelCap's complaint that planes were useless is actually period accurate. People hadn't figured out a role for this new machine yet. But, this being a game, I don't mind them being somewhat unrealistic at all.
They need an announcer similar to the COD world @ war type of announcer or something like the guys screaming in the BF1 trailer: "Come on lads/men" "Move Forward!"
first time on here, and at first ur vid was agreeable, I've been watching gameplay on BF1 for days. But ur complaints, like many of the commentors stated, are kinda weak. You basically described a balanced game. -Effect melee, which makes sense since WW1 had loads trench warfare -"OP" Tanks..... Tanks? There's a reason they're called Tanks in the real world. Armies were still using Horses during this war. They're suppose to be OP. I don't mind, means I'll play an anti tank role, and that's fine. Teammates should have roles. -smgs don't work well at long range??? Um good. I shouldnt be getting scoped yards away by a smg. That's some game-breaking BS. -Running and gunning with lmg should have a drawback, like it did in reality. I pray this game doesn't bend to the will of cheesy gamers and become another CoD. It seems ur complaints were that the game was so balanced that u weren't unstoppable.
That's what I was thinking through all of the complaints, it's a WW1 game, machine guns should have a very niche close range role and make semi-auto and bolt action rifles the common weapon.
I agree. Glad a lot of people seem to think this way also! Everyone is super hyped on a WWI game, because we're all tired of super-effective/accurate automatic weapons. But you're wrong why tanks are called tanks. Fun fact: The name tank is actually a ruse of war. Copy/paste from wikipedia -> They were called tanks to trick the Germans into thinking they were water carriers for areas where water was hard to move or find in large amounts. :)
+swimon thanks for the fun fact but it was sarcasm I didn't really think they called the tanks because they're tanks, a term used by table top rpg players.
I'm sure level cap would complain about skill gap. God will he ever Learn to sit down and repeat or else how can he play hardcore shooter like red orchestra 2. Where sometimes. You get dropped so that the other guy on your team can make it forward to chuck a satchel in that bunker
Mgs were heavy as hell and tbh the only real mg in World War One was the cranking Gatling gun you spun it around and it shot bullets, and the maxim gun which was water cooled, maybe the Bren was in there ok, but the mp18 that's good too but they should be slow moving because they were very VERY bulky
+MagicSashPlaysMC there were lots of machine guns, just look up machine guns of ww1 and you will see that there is actually an extensive list of them, there weren't just 2 or 3 but every country had at least a couple.
part of the reason the machine guns are so hard to use is because in the war those lmgs were usually on fixed positions with a bi-pod stabilizing the weapon you couldn't really run around the battlefield firing a weapon like that and being accurate in any sense. So personally i like that they made the lmgs inaccurate unless you using the bi-pod its more realistic and it encourages players to use more semi automatic rifles like what was being used primarily by infantry forces in that war.
My complaints: -Lack of bolt action rifles without a scoped (I think they should be powerful all kit weapons) -People complaining about tanks and now they are going to make every class having something to destroy them. Tanks are a powerful thing and they were in ww1 so they better be OP I dont want to be on a tank and get blown up instantly. -Machine guns being run and gun weapons and not being really heavy -The girl voice sounds too futuristic -There is black people in the german army After that I think the game looks amazing and if this things are changed, it will definetly be the best game Ive ever played
Black people in the German Army back then was probably very rare but not impossible like it was in WW2. The Nazism dident rise until several years after World war 1 ended. and the German empire was a colonial power too.
Good video but moaning about not being able to run and gun with LMGs is one of the most hilarious things i've ever heard. Not only was is it WW1 where deployable LMGs were scarce but in any FPS game being able to run and gun with a heavy ass machine gun with no effects to speed or ADS time, not worrying about reloading and sniping people from tap firing made it one of the most OP weapon classes in BF3/4. In my opinion, the LMG should be a support weapon where staying behind the front line and suppressing the enemy and controlling sections of the map is the main aim. To get better accuracy the bipod should be encouraged and player speed and movement should be reduced. Whilst perhaps not the most exciting role to the players who like running and gunning, it would still be a very vital role especially in the rush gamemode. I really hope the don't take it back to BF3/4 styles.
PandaBear Bad times. I remember all the times some ass revived me with 20% health and I did instantly. I'm not doing that to others. Plus, I like having a GL to get through walls and create openings.
PandaBear I know how to charge the paddles. I've had medics revive me in the stupidest places, like a choke pointed hallway. I don't want to do that to others. I use a gadget more useful to me, there are 15+ medics behind me that will revive the other team mates.
A 95% Run and gunner like LevelCap should not say Tanks are overpowered. Tanks in WW1 was to be feared and should be in the game. LevelCap you are just trying to change the game to benefit your playstyle and whats sad is developers go off what RUclipsrs say and the Tanks will end up being firework paper tanks. Same goes for your gun balance issues. So what you want to do LevelCap is turn SMGs into ARs and make them useful at all ranges. There is a reason the Assault class is so OP in Battlefield 4 because of You Tuber Run and Gunners getting there way. You guys do more harm then good. Thats like Matimio saying Tanks are OP when he never is seen in Armor on streams.
BF4 assault weapons, you're so right about that,AEK-971,the fucking ACE 23 players loved to abusing the shit out of those two guns. Where's the variety, where's the fun if all you see are these assault only players using one gun 24/7 it's disgusting. Well at least I don't have to put up with weapons like that again on BF1...oh wait Levelcap is at it again...
F2000 and FAMAS were pretty annoying as well but as least they have long reload and less accuracy to make it bearable enough. ACE 23 is so OP I feel bad using it and not fun to use.
"Historical accuracies" there are loads of historical accuracies already, why are there half white soldiers and half black soldiers, especially on the german's side, that's the biggest inaccuracy let alone melee attacks
I agree with the melee combat staying and being a big part of the game. I think that will help with the balance of cqb, maybe stope people from constantly rushing. Anyone that rushes at you runs the risk of getting a shovel to the skull, that sounds fantastic to me. Plus bayonet charging a door that you know someone's about to walk through sounds so awesome. Also MGs are supposed to be hard to control, that's why they have bipods. They are not supposed to be used for run and gun, I think that was level cap nit picking. The gun balance looks great, everyone will have there own style of playing. Your going to have to alter how you play due to the class you choose to play as. It hasn't been like that in a very long time.
Pretty much the entire German army in BF1 is black,it makes no fucking sense. But hey, heaven forbid we release a game without blacks/women in it. Fucking PC bullshit.
I would prefer it to be like VERDUN or red orchestra 2 and absolutly limit. The number of players with automatics in a match but that is not battlefields style
It's good that planes can't do effective strafing runs. The infantry don't have an effective way of countering planes, so this is fair. Also, tanks should be OP-they are to be feared.
Well in reality infantry could easily shoot down a plane with their firearms from the ground. The first planes in WWI didn't even have guns and the pilot or passenger would just shoot at other planes with a handheld rifle. Planes didn't even do ground strafing runs because they were afraid of getting shot down by ground forces.
c note It's basically something they put in the game that will later be replaced with what they really want to put. When we got the first BF4 gameplay for the campaign they had placeholders for the enemy models. They were the same characters as the BF3 online models but later replaced them.
I think it would be cool if they had a sort of "warm up" period at the start of the game, where everybody goes a mandatory conscript class with an unscoped bolt action rifle. It would make the game more "realistic" but it would also make the game more immersive in the WW1 setting, and it would also change the map slightly before the full scare battle begins.
Very true historically wise..... this is a Battlfield game.... sooooo.... they made them different for gameplay (it is a game) Other people have complained about added African American people which isn't very accurate..... As goes with complaints on assault rifles being in the game
Dude your complaints are all the best things in the game! I really hope EA knows that the Cod community is coming into battlefield and it doesn't need to cater to it.
There is going to be a trench warfare map and game mode, probably like rush. And as for verdin, there are like only 150 people playing it right now, and although it's a good game, a big company needs big numbers to keep everyone employed.
Would screw with the revive system; it would be weird to see body parts flying back onto someone if they're revived. Besides, a game doesn't need gore to be good, and Battlefield has never been about that. It's just not necessary.
I think they should add music at the end of the match depending on which country won, for example: If Britain wins it plays British Grenadiers or maybe Rule Britannia, for Germany Königgrätzer Marsch or Preußens Gloria.
I think the support class deserves a lot more love. It hasn't got any love since Bad Company 2. And in this game they had potential of making it a more relevant class, but it looks like it will be the same mediocre class it has been. Like infinite ammo is great of course, but how often are you or your team mates alive long enough to actually have to resupply from a support class?... The guns aren't very good, and the support class doesn't get any special gadgets that set it apart, or really gives incentive for players to use it. And I've just read on the Battlefield website, that now the medic class will have the normal revive ability, but now is also inheriting the repair tool, to also repair vehicles giving it a huge range of ways to support and help your team, versus the support class. I think the support class should have at least gotten the repair tool, giving it a way more "support"ing role for your team on the battlefield. That, or just tincy bit better guns. instead of the medic class basically having everything you could want or desire. The support class definitely needs more love.
BC2 did classes the best imo. Assault for, well assaulting and ammo. Medic with the lmgs and heals/revive. Engineer with the smgs and anti vehicle. Recon for sniping/spotting/gadgets like that ball you throw to show people on map. I
Well in bf4 they made the support class more important when they made it if you reload you lose all the ammo you had in the mag. it was very realistic and made it so you needed a support to give you ammo. I loved it but everyone had to start bitching "ahh what the heck I reloaded when I was only missing one bullet and lost it all that's so unfair I threw away my mag but I should keep the ammo" fucking idiots
Level, I like you, I really do, but serioslly, why would you want these ww1 guns to feel like the run and gun ones from bf4? the reason people wanted these changes was for a change in style and pace. I liked the idea of larger maps with standard soldiers only haveing a bolt action rifle and grenades, and a machine gunner who has to set up first before being effective. but no. your fine with the fact that every class but sniper has at least a dmr equivalent. great. disappointed in the game already for not takeing any risks
Also the melee system is fine. it's historically accurate and way better than what we had in any previous battlefield. level instead of needing it to improve "skill" how about suggesting a riposte or block or different angles of attack like in chivalry? But no nerf it so you can run and gun with your lmg 😒
+Daniel Sinks sorry I got a little over pissed... I'm very excited what I mean is I'm afraid its going to feel more like a ww1 paint job for the automatic weapons
I like it that SMGs aren't good at (medium) range. The bolt-action rifle was the standard rifle of WWI. If you make SMGs better at range, the normal shooter crowd/ mlgpros would stay away from bolt-actions and gravitate towards SMGs because they are used to modern automatic weapons. But this would take away from the general WWI feel that Battlefield One is aiming for.
I like the sound of a real difficulty, makes people have to actually learn and build skill.Same with learning how to take out the tanks, gives the assault class a more important role.
That's what I was thinking too. He complained that MGs scatter too much at long range unless you deploy the bipod, but that is exactly how it should be. Some of those things weren't meant to be fired on the move. They were meant for mostly stationary and support fighting.
I get that EA wants to cater to the new COD immigrants who have been switching sides since Advanced Warfare, but please go back to the way stuff was balanced in games like 1942, Vietnam, 2142, BF2, etc. I think everyone here does not mind a few of these changes: - Remove scope glare or make it slightly happen a bit when the scope is facing the sun. - Slow the tanks down, they were slow but very powerful, ominous hunks of metal. - Do not make MGs and SMGs accurate to hipfire. These guns were meant to be used with a bipod and at close ranges, respectively. SMGs were meant as trench clearing tools and MGs were to mow down any trench chargers. - Definitely make bolt action rifles all-class weapons. Nobody should be pigeon holed into not having a bolt action. - Maybe make weapons more damaging overall and lower spawn times to compensate. - Make sure most vehicles are 'jihad-able'. ;) - Skins can be realistic uniform variations (eg Canadian flag for British troops) or vehicle variations in the same vein. - Remember when you charged us 49.95$ for a game? Updates used to be free. DLC and Premium may be cash cows, but make them more affordable *~0-5$) and charge less for the base game so that it comes out to 60-70$ total for the "full" experience. Plus, lower entry point means more sales. - DICE is doing a good job, EA needs to let them do it.
That would be awesome. 1942 and its mods was my favorite fps of all time. Everything since Bad Company has felt like its got less about gameplay and more about fancy pants graphics and building monster hype trains for mediocre games.
HA! EA will never let developers unleash their full potential... they're too busy with their marketing for easy dollars they don't have to give back. Lazy bastards.
The clever "reply" that I see from people is that this map focuses heavily on strictly British vs German, assuming that this must be the Battle of Mons, which it surely isn't. The only other excuse is that "it's in pre-alpha", yet the game is set to release in a matter of months. When FO4 was announced, it was pretty much ready. I feel like this game is going to have too many problems for me to deal with lol.
1. I haven't seen black german soldiers (wasn't focusing on the soldiers thought) if there are who cares? 2. Idk really know tbh 3. How do you know? There will be a map in france if not even 2. Sooo....? Also DLC -> Verdun...? 4. Historicaly I agree, gamplay-wise I disagree. I respect your opinion but battlefield has a larger community with different opinions and I don't think there are alot of people that only want bolt action rifles and 6km/h fast tanks so they have to make this game fun gameplay-wise. If you're into that bolt action and realism thing go play Verdun.
Finally someone who isn't complaining about every little thing. Completely agree, thank God they aren't catering to those "historically accurate hurr durr" I've already played ever world war simulator (heros n generals, Verdun, red orchestra, War thunder etc) and I really didn't want to play another...
"Yooo dawwwg, we takin objective Apple in this shiznit." "Ah hell naw, we lost objective Apple dawg." "Yo, enemy Behemoth be up there dawg! Drop it like it's hot!"
Clip = a strip of metal with cartridges in a row, a magazine is typically a metal box with a spring and a floor plate that pushes the rounds in the rifle where as a user pushes the rounds into the rifle by hand with a clip
Just on the same note as Level, if they plan to balance tanks I hope they can add a fixed turret traverse speed. Just so players can't whip their turret a whole 180 degrees if someones trying to destroy them from the back. I think it will give players a more strategic approach to tanks, rather than charging into a group of people, moving back and forth and lashing your turret around. :)
random spread makes them crap. however, random spread does not belong in a skill based game. dice should use damage drop-off to make them worse at range, not spread.
Didn't you see the gameplay? There were at least two times that people got killed by the "Automatico M1918" and at least one instance of someone using it. From what I could tell it seems to have a higher rate of fire but steeper recoil.
lmao it's not something you tap fire. it's an innaccurate burst-fire that's prone to jamming even with it's low fire rate. other than that, it's a pretty good gun that was a nightmare to deal with at the time
I want bolt actions or semi autos to be better at mid-rang and long-rang and not get killed by a player from long range with a automatic, some guns need to be better than other regardless of your skill. It's like how can blow up the wall your bullet or a tank shell.
+pushy Rummble what they used machine guns for was sitting there sweeping side to side mowing down charging enemies, so whilst down on a bipod they should be ok accuracy wise
+Marshall Eriksen They did have strafing runs back then. They used planes to attack infantry in trenches. It's not realistic with the damage. I don't care about the Baltic physics but a machine gun from a plane should be a two or one shot.
In my opinion automatic weapons should be either limited per team on certain big map modes and maybe trench maps and or they should be end game unlocks or pick up weapons on the map to make it more realistic and balanced
God I hope they get rid of the stupid fucking "magnified" sights on the regular bolt actions and MGs. I mean, two lenses mounted on your front and rear sight posts? Dice, please don't make the optics like the goofy ass shit World At War had.....
***** They could do as most other games do and just have a 'hold breath' mechanic that makes your FOV zoom in a bit. They just look cartoonish and stupid. I'm not even talking about realism, but just plain old goofy looking crap.
Agreed. 'Verdun' did the WW1 theme so nicely with the weapons I just wish DICE took some pointers from them on weapons and all. If any BF1 kind of feel a bit...distasteful considering how horrifying the war actually was.
B Nixon Yeah, I feel like they missed an opportunity to make it really gritty and engaging. I think they would have lost a lot of casual players though. The old original COD WW2 titles did a good job of making a marginally realistic, yet well playing WW2 shooter.
The weapons are like that for a reason. It's WW1... The guns were inaccurate as hell for the most part. They're not going to put your favorite ace 23 0 recoil gun in the game
MagicSashPlaysMC Okay see if know you're going for realism but I don't want it to take half the match for me to get to one objective. I want a battlefield experience. If that means removing some realism. That's fine by me.
Some of the loading animations for rifles are just wrong. Carcano rifles and the Italian semi auto take a en-bloc clip. Fed from the top, pushed right in. EA seems to think the bullets get stripped off the clip, and into the mag. Most people probably would never notice, but it bothers people like me. Do some research EA...
it bothers you hmmm welp gl with your ocd of playing the game and seeing the wrong loading animation for the guns you know of :3 (i'm not entirely sure its ocd though i DONT KNOW D: oh well )
I am so relieved to see someone actually using a bolt-action rifle! There really need to be more guys running around with SMLEs with ironsights than with MP18s. They need something like the squad system in verdun to nudge people toward the bolt action rifles that were in use at the time.
As much as i want to get it and play it - hense the reason for watching this video - i was cringing hard when he was talking about "marksmanship" and "recoil control"... Graceful thumbs maybe but thats all
So far the game looks pretty good, a lot of great features on display and it seems to be more historically accurate than I thought it would be. I think one improvement they could make is to make bolt action rifles an all-class option but limit their capabilities depending on the class. For example; any class could use a Lee Enfield but only the Scout class would have access to a scope, the Assault class could have access to rifle grenades etc. If tanks feel OP than Dice should experiment with changing their speed, the tanks seem a bit on the fast side. This could also help give the armoured cars a defined role as they would act as infantry support, able to follow the troops closely. The tanks could act as a slow moving but heavy hitting arm for punching through tough enemy positions. Kind of annoying that the French and Russians aren't included at launch. Once the beta comes out we'll get a better feel for the game and can make more meaningful praise and criticism, looks like they're at least on the right track.
+habib Talukter wow is ur suicide vest to tight relax. I was just sayin since the main problem with battlefront was the lack of weapons and i dont want to see that happening in bf1 hence my concern.
You're complaining about MG accuracy in a WW1 game? You think irl you could just run around with a medium machine gun and "tap fire" people? Get real. Go play some Red Orchestra to see how guns actually work.
The melee combat could be remedied by having a mechanic where if you're fast enough when someone strikes you from the front you can block them with the weapon you are currently using, staggering them back and allowing you to counter strike. Unlike the counter knife from BF4, the block wouldn't be certain death for the player who initiated combat, but will instead simply negate the advantage that player would have received from landing a successful initial blow, allowing for the next stage of an engagement such as this to be Rock Paper Scissors. The player with the most skill will win by either shooting or striking the other player before that player can do the same. Each melee attack from the front may be countered like the first one.
Everyone have a problem with the female voice in the background but no one cares about this being a WW1 game with WAY too many machine guns, smg and lmg?
It's due to it being a game people don't care they are not playing it for the history they are playing it for fun. the woman's voice sounds out of place it's too calm and does not fit the setting.
when i first heard the calm voice saying we lost alpha i was really disappointed because like you said it doesn't fit at all i really would like to hear an English officer when your playing as the UK and when your playing as a German you hear some Prussian officer shouting it would just feel more i guess cohesive with the theme.
Am I the only one noticing that this game UI looks just like heroes and generals and they have specific classes for vehicles like tank class just like heroes and generals
+Something And I'm not even going to buy bf1 cause of their past games bf3 broken at launch bf4 broken at launch BFH broken at launch battlefront holy shit don't have words for that garbage so 4 games all fucked should not buy
+Agent_ofwar notice how every game you mentioned was only broken at launch. and every single one is still played by millions today so your not going to buy a game at all because it might be broken at launch that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard
+TFV Son ohh hell no millions? BFH is dead no one plays that garbage bf3 is dead TOO And they are all still fucked up ME and my friends still experience bad netcode and the gun balance in bf4 and bf3 is made up with the Ace 52 and 23 and m16a4 srr61 AEK 96 m416 and the m4 are still the most common gun you get shot by
+Agent_ofwar shit netcode that probably your shit Internet. you can't say bf3 is dead and them say that the game is still made up of the ace m16 blah blah blah in the very next sentence. Hardline also is not dead look up bf Hardline gameplay on RUclips and set it to uploads for today plenty of people still playing it.
the damage thing he was talking about where the planes could have their wings damaged should help with that since most ani tank weapons are grenades you will probably end up blowing off a lot of treads.
Mr.Master "that's not battlefield" So you're telling me battlefield 1 can't spice up their gameplay a little bit to make their audience fresh and give us something different? Having slower tanks isn't even asking for much, just a small bit of authenticity to the setting. You say it would be boring? I'd say the opposite. I wouls feel much more immersed when there are slower tanks.
are you serius, this is a persons opinion, where he points out some few perspectives of the game he would not mind changing, why would you dislike that?
+engam gnavlos because he doesn't agree with what Lvl said and he has the right to do so. Personally I'm right with Albert. For a game that's always considered "more realistic" than CoD or other FPS, I think that dice are doing the right thing to make you use the weapons as they were meant to be used / are used / were used. Sniping snipers with an AR or holding your 10 kilos machine gun like it's a pistol always bothered me but well, just my opinion (and I guess Albert's ?)
Laufumo 11 Exactly. Level doesn't seem to realise that aim is not the most important/ skillful thing. In a good more enjoyable fps forward thinking and positioning are just as important as well as playing to your weapons strengths. The fact that level also managed to miss the horrid suppression/ visual recoil and flinching which are actual problems that took ages to get fixed in bf4 is actually embarrassing
It's ww1 bud. Close quarters werent to offten and when it did it was bayonets. Bipod on mgs make sense in that period due to the distance of trenches. So the tap fire such for bf vets doesn't matter there trying to make it ww1 not iraq. The guns are so much bigger and heavier so yes shooting a mg is going to be horrible. I know it's just your opinion but try to really feel the history. Guns not very accurate. Panes well just crop dusters with mgs and bombs. Tanks on tank is more often then.
Aperture, Peep, whatever you want to call them. Theyre still a form of iron sites and they dont look like that in real life. I know because I have a Springfield 1903 in my closet lol. It looks dumb, is incorrect and very easy to remove if DICE actually listens to us ;)
SJGSpook Winchester didnt produce model 1903s though? And 'deluxe edition' was one of Winchesters firearm grades for the civilian market?.. In any case the sight they show here with the lenses is purely fantasy.
15:34 But that is what they did in WW1. At long range, medium range, and closer range people would use their guns, but when you get within trench fighting of other people the length of the guns would get in the way requiring people to thrust a knife or use the bayonet.
That new spawn screen is such a nice feature, love it!
Yeah it kinda looks like Heroes and Generals lol
+Ozan Akdag Yes.
Love your vids xerator
Coldboy33
thanks man
+Ozan Akdag exactly my thoughts. Probably their "inspiration"
I think the full-auto weapons should be inaccurate like this. World War 1 was fought with mostly (bolt-action) rifles. If the machineguns and submachineguns were more powerful, evrybody would use them over rifles. i'd hate that.
Battlefield isn't realistic
+David Villadangos I didn't say anything about realism, I was talking about game balance
+Xerophax nooo I think they'll find a way to balance it. And I really want to use a bolt action
i agree
Well its already that way isn't it. All the tryhards use the MP18 to hose people down, once they get their TNT there wont be any reason to use anything else. I really hope LvlCap doesnt get his way regarding the automatics, they should be fairly inaccurate (save for the LMGs when deployed) no matter how much tapfire "skill" you put into it.
love how they got an animation to get into a tank but not to get out of it... its fucking BF magic!
hahaha, I Agree xD
***** ik dude , just waiting for the whole game to come out and see how things have changed
i know its pre alpha but that dosent make it any less funny
0 Matteo Rizvi you can have one without the other IMO so out with the enter animation og in with an getting out animation ;)
Krundug i guess
The machine gun thing you told us about, and how they're not accurate up close is a good thing. People weren't running around with machine guns in World War 1, winning in close quarters or anything else. I like that they're going for the authentic feel of it.
If you COULD do any of that, this would just be a Battlefield game with a WW1 skin on it, and I'm glad that's not what they're going for.
"thats not what they're" WHAT plz do tell i wish to read more :3
I agree. The things he mentioned that he didn't like are specifically the things I like.
Lol Riders the weakest servant
prosketch OFW I will gut you.

You never revive people man
It's like when someone plays a lego game, but doesn't pick up all the studs. So annoying
mimimi
love that comparison, brings back so many memories
the new revive mechanics seem to require the person who died to press q and request a revive before a medic can revive them. (you can see the button show on the death camera, next to the deploy button)
"the assault class no longer has the ablity to heal or revive " He wasn't playing the medic class.
Cheeky SnoopDog on your Team :D
Lol what are you doing her Matt? Favourite Fifa you tuber by the way
Matt here?
Love you lol
He's gunna be part of the Squad up series when BF1 comes out.
and watch hes score haha he did not even kill one
My complaints and ideas :
- Make unscoped bolt-actions all class weapons and make them usable, it's WW1 goddamit I want to see some good old rifles and less auto weapons
- Make gaz grenades also affect people inside vehicles, it makes sense and gives more tools to battle vehicles
-I think the fact that MGs aren't as accurate is a good thing. MGs are supposed to be support weapons, IRL you can't stand up fire them correctly. Besides you said the bipod is more practical, so let's use it.
-Change that god damn commander voice
- Although the tanks may be a bit OP right now, they should be very powerful imo, and in BF4 they were too easy to take down, every class had some sort of anti-armor weapon.
Daniel Sinks Cool, thanks for answering mate
I'm glad automatics aren't dominant at range. I want the main weapons used in this game to be bolt action and semi auto
Agree. Love bolt actions!
the hand held automatic was made before the small arm semi was...
I think Snoop Dog is now going to be part of the squad up series when BF1 comes out. LevelCap sees potential in him
he literally got 0 kills in the last round
+jlowe92 he said potential.. A few more blunts and snoop would have been on top of his game
^
jlowe92 LevelCap will train him
Jake Constable True, I'm sure he will have more than a few when the game is released lol
levelcap can u review snoopdog gameplay
They were in the same squad :P
He went 0-11 but he was happy, and his team was dominating and they won so that's all that matters lol.
High as a kite. Done.
He was 420 blazing it.
it's snoop dogg
Keep the Alphbet, Imagine the chat "You useless c**ts, Hold Apple! F*ck Butter, Hold apple and we win ffs"
hahaha I can picture this happening
+Daniel Sinks You sir, you made my day
You dirty little minx
+dale gribble weèeeeew
just call it A,B,C,D.....
The bolt-action rifle should be an all class weapon (without the scope then).
yes on some German soldiers carried the mp18 not every single person
+1
Julius N Eh... Verdun has that and it's kind of awesome? If you haven't played it, do yourself a favour and learn what it's like to die 20 times in a row just to get the satisfaction of capturing a trench and finally scoring a kill. I'm all for making consessions because "it's a game/move/show",but keep it grounded yeah?
Yeah, its a game? If it's too realistic it becomes boring
Can't wait to see 32 v 32 bayonet charge
Fancy seeing you here alex
+Skidonic sup Skids. I've been a subscriber of LevelCap for a while. Can't wait to get my hands on BF1 and Titanfall 2

+Florian Sabic nazi
I can imagine it right now, just hearing a bunch of soldiers shouting "AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
pretty sure the announcer voice is a placeholder.
1 Like, 1 pray
Maybe it is, never though of it that way
They need an announcer similar to the COD world @ war type of announcer or something like the guys screaming in the BF1 trailer: "Come on lads/men" "Move Forward!"
I hope!
+aeon44 pray for this 20 minute timer they've put on the conquest match? Like wtf
first time on here, and at first ur vid was agreeable, I've been watching gameplay on BF1 for days. But ur complaints, like many of the commentors stated, are kinda weak. You basically described a balanced game.
-Effect melee, which makes sense since WW1 had loads trench warfare
-"OP" Tanks.....
Every one of his complaints made the game sound better to me
Guys its a fucking game not the real war, a game is supposed to be balanced not be on par with reality.
+swimon thanks for the fun fact but it was sarcasm I didn't really think they called the tanks because they're tanks, a term used by table top rpg players.
Bolt-action rifles without scopes need to be an all-kit weapon in this game.
Thank you! I was just telling my friend about an all class weapon like the bolt action rifles.
agree.
Man, we need someone to say that to dice, seriously
There should really be a focus on bolt action rifles. (Or lever action with the Winchester 1895)
I'm sure level cap would complain about skill gap. God will he ever Learn to sit down and repeat or else how can he play hardcore shooter like red orchestra 2. Where sometimes. You get dropped so that the other guy on your team can make it forward to chuck a satchel in that bunker
MGs werent used as a run and gun platform in WW1 levelcap...
They never have been in any real war.
yea ikr
and now you're going to have people disagreeing with you
Its a game?
Mgs were heavy as hell and tbh the only real mg in World War One was the cranking Gatling gun you spun it around and it shot bullets, and the maxim gun which was water cooled, maybe the Bren was in there ok, but the mp18 that's good too but they should be slow moving because they were very VERY bulky
+MagicSashPlaysMC there were lots of machine guns, just look up machine guns of ww1 and you will see that there is actually an extensive list of them, there weren't just 2 or 3 but every country had at least a couple.
Complaining about the recoil on machine guns in a WW1 game is like complaining about someone trying something new.
Its like complaining about the lack of milk products in my Vegan milkshake
+DarkfireNova lol yea that's a better comparison
It's a nice little slice of realism. This isn't call of duty.
+winkles2314 and The bolt action rifle should be in all classes
winkles2314 That's what I'm saying I'm not complaining about the recoil
part of the reason the machine guns are so hard to use is because in the war those lmgs were usually on fixed positions with a bi-pod stabilizing the weapon you couldn't really run around the battlefield firing a weapon like that and being accurate in any sense. So personally i like that they made the lmgs inaccurate unless you using the bi-pod its more realistic and it encourages players to use more semi automatic rifles like what was being used primarily by infantry forces in that war.
My complaints:
-Lack of bolt action rifles without a scoped (I think they should be powerful all kit weapons)
-People complaining about tanks and now they are going to make every class having something to destroy them. Tanks are a powerful thing and they were in ww1 so they better be OP I dont want to be on a tank and get blown up instantly.
-Machine guns being run and gun weapons and not being really heavy
-The girl voice sounds too futuristic
-There is black people in the german army
After that I think the game looks amazing and if this things are changed, it will definetly be the best game Ive ever played
Black people in the German Army back then was probably very rare but not impossible like it was in WW2. The Nazism dident rise until several years after World war 1 ended. and the German empire was a colonial power too.
the germanz have gloves or its the mud from the treches the mud stuff was a joke :)
Racist
You're really picky aren't you?
tanks should be stronger, but slower
Best pov on this subject so far
agreed.
you, my man, understand!!!
Agreed. If they need a buff then make the wall penetration much better given these were used in more of a suppression role.
ayy my guy
I agree with you Lew
Can't wait to see how medics are gonna ignore every single dead teammate .
Yes, I am one of those guys who likes to help their team in bf4 ok?.
In Bf4 I completely took the defib off my assault class. It didn't really help me.
+White Fox it's not gonna help you it's gonna help your teammates if you revive them
PandaBear Bad times. I remember all the times some ass revived me with 20% health and I did instantly. I'm not doing that to others. Plus, I like having a GL to get through walls and create openings.
+White Fox you can charge them to 100 and with medic perk it's very quick to charge to 100
PandaBear I know how to charge the paddles. I've had medics revive me in the stupidest places, like a choke pointed hallway. I don't want to do that to others. I use a gadget more useful to me, there are 15+ medics behind me that will revive the other team mates.
it's good when tanks are more powerful it gives like that "holy shit" moment when a tanks comes around the corner
i missed that in bf4
I was hoping the tank also had limited ammo like in 1942
+Anthony Cupero What do you mean like in 1942?
battlefield 1942 you spud. fake ass battlefield fan spotted
+The BadChat bf 1942 was the first and best battlefield game
For me the bad company series was the best for now
A 95% Run and gunner like LevelCap should not say Tanks are overpowered.
YES!! Thank you so much! These RUclipsrs want a game catered to THEM. The best players. Not the majority.
Your so right I hope dice just goes with there heart and Dosent let people tell them what to do
BF4 assault weapons, you're so right about that,AEK-971,the fucking ACE 23 players loved to abusing the shit out of those two guns.
Where's the variety, where's the fun if all you see are these assault only players using one gun 24/7 it's disgusting.
Well at least I don't have to put up with weapons like that again on BF1...oh wait Levelcap is at it again...
+Barebare kun don't forget about the reign of the Famas and FN 2000. Those were so frustrating.
F2000 and FAMAS were pretty annoying as well but as least they have long reload and less accuracy to make it bearable enough.
ACE 23 is so OP I feel bad using it and not fun to use.
melee attack should be stay there because historical accuracies. i think people should not compare this BF with the previous series.
"Historical accuracies" there are loads of historical accuracies already, why are there half white soldiers and half black soldiers, especially on the german's side, that's the biggest inaccuracy let alone melee attacks
+habib Talukter where were you guys seeing these black people. i must have not been watching close enough but where are they
historical accuracy is not important when compared to good gameplay.
Scoreless bolt actions should be available to all classes as in World War One they were standard issue
Scopeless
Agreed
I agree as well. Give me a Russian mosin Nagant 91m
+erxcwrestler lol. Out of all the guns you pick a mosin
I would prefer it to be like VERDUN or red orchestra 2 and absolutly limit. The number of players with automatics in a match but that is not battlefields style
It's good that planes can't do effective strafing runs. The infantry don't have an effective way of countering planes, so this is fair. Also, tanks should be OP-they are to be feared.
exactly
Well in reality infantry could easily shoot down a plane with their firearms from the ground. The first planes in WWI didn't even have guns and the pilot or passenger would just shoot at other planes with a handheld rifle. Planes didn't even do ground strafing runs because they were afraid of getting shot down by ground forces.
exactly
+MrGiglio13 i wish bombing was a thing, in ww1 they would just throw the grenades over the edge of the plane
+carnagewolf1 i mean in BF1 did you not see me say that in world war 1 they would do makeshift bombing
there should be a feature where you can change the voice announcer
Heard it was a placeholder.
it's a place holder for another voice m9
What's a place holder
c note
It's basically something they put in the game that will later be replaced with what they really want to put. When we got the first BF4 gameplay for the campaign they had placeholders for the enemy models. They were the same characters as the BF3 online models but later replaced them.
FollowMeInfantry thanks
I think it would be cool if they had a sort of "warm up" period at the start of the game, where everybody goes a mandatory conscript class with an unscoped bolt action rifle. It would make the game more "realistic" but it would also make the game more immersive in the WW1 setting, and it would also change the map slightly before the full scare battle begins.
Why do you want BF to be realistic?
Jaska Jokunen It's not that I want it to be realistic, I wan't it to be immersive.
Sun Tzu I never found battlefields immersive :/ Maybe is should try, next time i die in battlefield i will killmyself in real life.
+Sun Tzu if you want immersion in multiplayer mode, you're what's wrong with multiplayer mode.
Rye_Brad Now, why is that?
As far as tanks go i say they need there mobility reduced. Those tanks could move at speed in a straight line but they were no where near that agile.
*their
Very true historically wise..... this is a Battlfield game.... sooooo.... they made them different for gameplay (it is a game)
Other people have complained about added African American people which isn't very accurate.....
As goes with complaints on assault rifles being in the game
So you'd rather take half of the round to get the tank from spawn point to flag A?
They could never move "at speed" lol. They are incredibly sped up in this game.
***** They are much faster than the sprint speed in game.
Dude your complaints are all the best things in the game! I really hope EA knows that the Cod community is coming into battlefield and it doesn't need to cater to it.
He's a low skilled player that wants everything to be easier.
+FallenWarrior Gaming could not agree more
Their should be a trench warfare game mode. Like Verdun.
that game...sucks...
+OverPowered Gamer Spotted the COD fan
+Dank Memer 9/11 That is why I said it should be a separate game mode.
There is going to be a trench warfare map and game mode, probably like rush. And as for verdin, there are like only 150 people playing it right now, and although it's a good game, a big company needs big numbers to keep everyone employed.
Run&Gun for the sales numbers, Trench map and serverside loadout restrictions -> Verdun
Why are devs so afraid to put gore into there game? Moms? cmon DICE...
Would screw with the revive system; it would be weird to see body parts flying back onto someone if they're revived. Besides, a game doesn't need gore to be good, and Battlefield has never been about that. It's just not necessary.
the blood splash is enough in my opinion
If CoD returns to WW I hope we see some ultra gore like it used to have. That game doesn't have a revival system after all.
because this gore is realistic enough.....
''this gore is realistic enough.....'' wut?
Snoop dogg must have a ''high'' score when playing ;)

he was smoking a blunt during e3 xD
Dude was actually lit up while playing.
This and I hope like in hardline that you can take ammo off your teammates that don't throw it down for you...
BC2 did classes the best imo. Assault for, well assaulting and ammo. Medic with the lmgs and heals/revive. Engineer with the smgs and anti vehicle. Recon for sniping/spotting/gadgets like that ball you throw to show people on map.
I
I share your worries, but once again...
It
Is
A
Pre
Alpha.
We have not seen everything and DICE isn't done balancing everything. Have faith.
I'll prolly be main Assault for this game. TNT ftw.
If the LMGs in the full game shoot like lasers, I know who to blame. If I was subbed in the first place I would unsub after this.
+Daniel Sinks exactly, it doesn't look like ww1 at all. why wouldn't I go and play Verdun? this looks more like a paint job than a new game
Smokefairydust I didn't say that.. I'm very excited for the game. I just don't want automatic weapons to be overpowered.
I like the sound of a real difficulty, makes people have to actually learn and build skill.Same with learning how to take out the tanks, gives the assault class a more important role.
shooting a mg like a assault rifle? meeeh it was quite heavy you know.
but I really like the fact that there is a mechanical class. FINALLY! Really hype to play on hardcore mode.
the vehicles are going way too fast. but that not the final product. I am quite happy with what I see. good start.
That's what I was thinking too. He complained that MGs scatter too much at long range unless you deploy the bipod, but that is exactly how it should be. Some of those things weren't meant to be fired on the move. They were meant for mostly stationary and support fighting.
+Allen Crowder yep. hey some MG were around 40-50 pounds
+Georgie Boy captured vehicles.
Open pre apple will come when e3 is over !
bullshit wheres the proof
bullshit wheres the proof
Go to forums and all that
+Daniel Gonçalves I love apples
+Daniel Gonçalves Give a link
I get that EA wants to cater to the new COD immigrants who have been switching sides since Advanced Warfare, but please go back to the way stuff was balanced in games like 1942, Vietnam, 2142, BF2, etc. I think everyone here does not mind a few of these changes:
- Remove scope glare or make it slightly happen a bit when the scope is facing the sun.
- Make sure most vehicles are 'jihad-able'. ;)
- Skins can be realistic uniform variations (eg Canadian flag for British troops) or vehicle variations in the same vein.
Never have I been able to agree more about opinions on this games play.
HA!
EA will never let developers unleash their full potential... they're too busy with their marketing for easy dollars they don't have to give back. Lazy bastards.
Since MW3*
MW3 is from the Call of Duty franchise.
This makes me think of Battlefield 1943 with the open planes and older combat warfare
I don't agree with you there. is between world war 1 and world war 2, there was allot of melee at that time so for me is fine like it is.
+David Nottle (Satay Noodle) melee*
It's not that hard to spell ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
+David Nottle (Satay Noodle) but if they're both at point blank, it turns into a game of reaction time instead of skill
coupled with the potential network lag, it will become a nightmare...
reaction time is skill.
+starkid1987 to a degree, yes, but when two people are just staring at eachother mashing the melee button, I would have to disagree
1. Black german soldiers
2. Wrong m35 german helmets
3. No france
4. Too many automatic rifles
Come on EA fix this
The clever "reply" that I see from people is that this map focuses heavily on strictly British vs German, assuming that this must be the Battle of Mons, which it surely isn't. The only other excuse is that "it's in pre-alpha", yet the game is set to release in a matter of months. When FO4 was announced, it was pretty much ready. I feel like this game is going to have too many problems for me to deal with lol.
There are no black German soldiers are you stupid
+Bailey If they were, they would be africans
They won't remove rifles , but all the other things are easy fixes.
1. I haven't seen black german soldiers (wasn't focusing on the soldiers thought) if there are who cares?
2. Idk really know tbh
There better be an ak-47 in this game
it's WW1, the ak-47 didn't exist until the end of WW2, hence the "47" in the name
I cried inside reading this comment.
Really? You want a fucking Ak-47 in a WW1 game?
Oh my .... *facepalm*
trolling level 9000
was waiting for a levelcap video on this, didn't disappoint! you're awesome man
Battlefield 1 looks great. I honestly can't wait for the Alpha or Beta or w/e to come out so we can play. I CANT WAIT UNTIL OCTOBER!!!!! OK???
And to those who said graphics suck, you're crazy
ya cant wait to play the BF1 Butter
I'm definitely pre ordering this game
Finally someone who isn't complaining about every little thing. Completely agree, thank God they aren't catering to those "historically accurate hurr durr" I've already played ever world war simulator (heros n generals, Verdun, red orchestra, War thunder etc) and I really didn't want to play another...
You shouldn't pre-order games dude...
They should have Snoop Dogg do the announcer voice
"Yooo dawwwg, we takin objective Apple in this shiznit." "Ah hell naw, we lost objective Apple dawg." "Yo, enemy Behemoth be up there dawg! Drop it like it's hot!"
+Daniel Sinks haha, that should be an option
"yoo man, good work at butter, bro !
behemoth is spawning by the wayz, so smoke that shit, man!"
Objective weed smoked!
call of duty already did it.
I'm glad levelcap knows the difference between a clip and a magazine cuz I have a friend who doesn't know and it's just like -_- bruh
lol
how old is he?
+therud _rock ikr
Clip = a strip of metal with cartridges in a row, a magazine is typically a metal box with a spring and a floor plate that pushes the rounds in the rifle where as a user pushes the rounds into the rifle by hand with a clip
I don't know the difference either, who gives a shit?
Just on the same note as Level, if they plan to balance tanks I hope they can add a fixed turret traverse speed. Just so players can't whip their turret a whole 180 degrees if someones trying to destroy them from the back. I think it will give players a more strategic approach to tanks, rather than charging into a group of people, moving back and forth and lashing your turret around. :)
Smgs should be crap, it's ww1 they should be only close quarters
They are crap, they're super inaccurate.
They are
random spread makes them crap. however, random spread does not belong in a skill based game. dice should use damage drop-off to make them worse at range, not spread.
agree. Seems like the only smg is the mp18. waitin for the gravity powered beretta top loaded smg
Didn't you see the gameplay? There were at least two times that people got killed by the "Automatico M1918" and at least one instance of someone using it. From what I could tell it seems to have a higher rate of fire but steeper recoil.
I am Still waiting on a Korean War Battlefield btw!! Great combo of WWII and early modern weaponry!!
nein
That would be cool. Awesome Sabre on Mig dogfighting.
Me too thats what i always say
niet
the peopl who say no to this dont know anyting about that war it would be amazing probs more better setting than nam
>tap-firing a wwi mg
ha ha ha ha
Have you ever tried to fire a vickers?
nvm let me ask one last time what is a vikers (looks on internet) Oh my gawd BEAUTIFUL :D
lmao it's not something you tap fire. it's an innaccurate burst-fire that's prone to jamming even with it's low fire rate. other than that, it's a pretty good gun that was a nightmare to deal with at the time
Damn Vox i can bet :3
I don't think he has not everyone in America has fired a world mg
I agree, I want the announcer to be yelling and screaming at me vs calmly telling me what's happening around the battlefield.
I want bolt actions or semi autos to be better at mid-rang and long-rang and not get killed by a player from long range with a automatic, some guns need to be better than other regardless of your skill. It's like how can blow up the wall your bullet or a tank shell.
Who*
Yup it's exactly like you said lvlcap said that they feel awful at range and are really hard to control
+Snan Ananas it's almost as if they were designed for close range combat
+Snan Ananas I want them to stay like that, awful at range and excellent at there indicated range regardless of your skill.
+pushy Rummble what they used machine guns for was sitting there sweeping side to side mowing down charging enemies, so whilst down on a bipod they should be ok accuracy wise
Ha, Snoop Dogg was in LevelCap's squad!
It's WW1. I don't think that the airplanes are supposed to be accurate
nor the guns :3 (excluding the bolt action rifles and such)
Monkey2tv well it was also the war of experiments sooo not really all about melee :\
Airplanes need a huge buff though with damage on ground targets. It's almost impossible to kill infantry with them in today's battlefields.
+Marshall Eriksen They did have strafing runs back then. They used planes to attack infantry in trenches. It's not realistic with the damage. I don't care about the Baltic physics but a machine gun from a plane should be a two or one shot.
+Djrocks Gaming They implemented the carpet bombing for the ground targets.
In my opinion automatic weapons should be either limited per team on certain big map modes and maybe trench maps and or they should be end game unlocks or pick up weapons on the map to make it more realistic and balanced
man team deathmatch has to be tons of fun
Hopefully the spawn system will be fixed tho.
I'm more excited for the new game mode Operations
what's wrong with the spawn
+Doge me to! I don't like this timer though?!
+Matteo Rizvi its a battlefront thing sureky
God I hope they get rid of the stupid fucking "magnified" sights on the regular bolt actions and MGs. I mean, two lenses mounted on your front and rear sight posts? Dice, please don't make the optics like the goofy ass shit World At War had.....
***** They could do as most other games do and just have a 'hold breath' mechanic that makes your FOV zoom in a bit. They just look cartoonish and stupid. I'm not even talking about realism, but just plain old goofy looking crap.
Completely agree. At least be able to take them off and use the rifles actual sights. If you can't do that I'll be pretty pissed.
it's fine, as long the gameplay is fun or the detail is conducive to good gameplay, some liberties in realism should be done.
The old original COD WW2 titles did a good job of making a marginally realistic, yet well playing WW2 shooter.
level cap and snoopdog??
the perfect team
Yeah SnoopDogs KD was 0 11
no it was 4/20
I love the front sight focus when the character aims !
The weapons are like that for a reason. It's WW1... The guns were inaccurate as hell for the most part. They're not going to put your favorite ace 23 0 recoil gun in the game
Not a fan of 'Enemy Hit' score points, getting points just for shooting someone is a bit too generous and far too telling in regard to enemy HP.
here here
ehhh I'm not really sure about this feature either. But I can see why they added it.
It's going to get annoying after a while but also the tanks are way WAY to fast they should be extremely slower
You already have that in Bf4 but ok...
Do some research EA...
it bothers you hmmm welp gl with your ocd of playing the game and seeing the wrong loading animation for the guns you know of :3 (i'm not entirely sure its ocd though i DONT KNOW D: oh well )
Good catch, I hope they add the Steyr-Manlicher m95.
Anyone here when the battlefield 6 trailer is gonna drop soon?
you should be able to pop a nade down the barrel of a tank like real life
With real life you mean the walking dead right? Don't think That would do much damage in real life.
Well it would kill all the people inside so you could steal it
+Don't be stupid It could damage the barrel it gun breach
+David Poole, Jr or*
True, but that might make it way too easy to take down a tank, in reality it wasn't very easy.
Did you get stoned too LvL, with SNoop and Wiz??? XD
on *STONEmountains* team
+Viktor Ceder stonermountain64
***** He was just joking!
are you stupid
***** lol bro!
What about gas? The most devastating weapon of the war seemed pretty useless during the stream?
ffs it's not the final build of the game
It takes a lot of ur health away what are u on
Well it was mainly used in the trenches, and since there's not much combat in the trenches.......
No shit. I wanted his thoughts on how it performed IN the pre alpha and what changes could be made.
I only saw it once.....and they were throwing it at tanks.
I am so relieved to see someone actually using a bolt-action rifle! There really need to be more guys running around with SMLEs with ironsights than with MP18s. They need something like the squad system in verdun to nudge people toward the bolt action rifles that were in use at the time.
LMGs and SMGs are too innaccurate?
Then what the fuck are the Bolt Action Rifles for? You know, the guns that 90% of soldiers actually used....
he's got the d o double g in his squad no way he could've lost 😂
Does anyone else cringe every time someone says "tap fire?"
As much as i want to get it and play it - hense the reason for watching this video - i was cringing hard when he was talking about "marksmanship" and "recoil control"... Graceful thumbs maybe but thats all
i do especially sense its world war one :3
no?
3 bolt action rifles?? 3!?!? Thats bad for a ww1 game
It's pre alpha. Not all weapons are in the game yet. There will be more obviously.
PRE-ALPHA is the key word.
Think before you post a comment you fucking idiot
+habib Talukter wow is ur suicide vest to tight relax. I was just sayin since the main problem with battlefront was the lack of weapons and i dont want to see that happening in bf1 hence my concern.
+habib Talukter calm yourself child
You're complaining about MG accuracy in a WW1 game? You think irl you could just run around with a medium machine gun and "tap fire" people? Get real. Go play some Red Orchestra to see how guns actually work.
I'm pretty sure you can run around with a machine gun and tap fire people I'm not sure you know how guns work.
+Ano Namus no
Can we pls discuss Starsnipe and his 32 and 0 in a tank?
ikr
what about CaptainSparkels bringing a victory to TeamNeebs
Because they want it to be fun more than they want it to be realistic.
bro have you even played battlefeild four. and your complaining that this game already has too many weapons
when i first heard the calm voice saying we lost alpha i was really disappointed because like you said it doesn't fit at all i really would like to hear an English officer when your playing as the UK and when your playing as a German you hear some Prussian officer shouting it would just feel more i guess cohesive with the theme.
If players are using too much automatic weapons, then community likes them.Stfu then.
They need to have the option to use the Neebs voice and use the Neebs alphabet.
There were some people from Neebs serving as voice actors in BF4. I don't remember which ones or which classes because I never really heard them.
I knew it! I knew I heard Neebs on BF4!
IIRC that was only in the single player and in multiplayer easter eggs.
Did anyone notice Snoopdogg on the left hand conrner ;)
D. o. double g ^^
would be pretty cool if when you went prone in a muddy environment, the mud would stick to your uniform and be visible :)
BFH is dead no one plays that garbage bf3 is dead TOO And they are all still fucked up ME and my friends still experience bad netcode and the gun balance in bf4 and bf3 is made up with the Ace 52 and 23 and m16a4 srr61 AEK 96 m416 and the m4 are still the most common gun you get shot by
+TFV Son Fuck battlefield I played all the way back to bad company 2 and since than every game they made keeps getting worse and worse
CoD fans be like..
-where are the Maichael Bay effects and exo-suits?..
Wow man so funny nice original joke
+TheAlmightyChikin
i know!..
+Bernardo Lievana you're not funny
+carnagewolf1 salty Cod fan
+A Retarded Seastar I haven't played COD for 4 years
Still gotta call out LevelCap for abandoning neebs...
Some BS fr...
He had to since everyone on stonemountain64s team sucked
yea he was on neebs but stonemountain got salty and took a bunch of their players
Oh, thats good they actually implemented war thunder physics
I hope there's an M4 in this game
The Machine Guns on airplanes aren't supposed to be accurate... its WWI
The game can't be completely realistic or most people wouldn't play.. But yes you are right.
Tanks should be MUCH slower. And have terrain issues where they get stuck in mud or something like that, that would be cool.
the damage thing he was talking about where the planes could have their wings damaged should help with that since most ani tank weapons are grenades you will probably end up blowing off a lot of treads.
That would be boring as fuck
Mr.Master No it wouldn't. It would balance the game at the same time appeal to the audience
Sanji Salty Xenoverse 2 is SH1T That's not battlefield.Go play Verdun,for an example,if you don't like battlefield 1 system.
Mr.Master "that's not battlefield"
So you're telling me battlefield 1 can't spice up their gameplay a little bit to make their audience fresh and give us something different? Having slower tanks isn't even asking for much, just a small bit of authenticity to the setting. You say it would be boring? I'd say the opposite. I wouls feel much more immersed when there are slower tanks.
"You can pretty much hit a headshot at any range-" Fails a headshot
Snoopdogg was on your squad
This is a stupid question but were they players with their names or is snoop dogg actually playing battlefields? Lol
Snoopdogg was actually playing Battlefield, there are videos of him on face cam (and also a camera on his controller I think?) as he was playing.
+Jaska Jokunen all the names were the actual people
More trench fighting. This looks like yet another open field or urban style fight. WW1 was all about the trenches.
Even though that's only the Western Front...
If you payed attention in history class then you would know that most of the trench warfare was in the Western front. France vs Germany.
There will be don't worry this is only one map
+TaterTotFarmer Read the comment above you.
+Father Christian Quiles The West shall fall as the east fell.
your complaints with the game were so off point that I wish I could dislike twice
are you serius, this is a persons opinion, where he points out some few perspectives of the game he would not mind changing, why would you dislike that?
I dislike his opinions because they're stupid and level cap has some influence so he needs criticising
100% Agree
finally, someone talked about the announcer. and i also agree with you about the radio call outs :)
I disagree with a lot of things with this video, i'll summarize it in one sentence. The game should not be balanced to the point that it gets bland.
That red-dot-like sight is stupid and must be removed!
SJGSpook Wow...
15:34 But that is what they did in WW1. At long range, medium range, and closer range people would use their guns, but when you get within trench fighting of other people the length of the guns would get in the way requiring people to thrust a knife or use the bayonet.
