- Previous know as "Tomb Raider: Fire Fall" before the Cedar Fair takeover of the Paramount Parks, this ride still uses the same music from it's previous theme along with some of the statues.
That music is SOOO awesome!
It will always be tomb raider firefall to us extreme kd fans! :P
subtenk0 I can say the same with all the other rides in the previously Paramount Parks chain that had to have name changes.
Daniel Paczak I felt it appropriate to label this The Crypt though considering the day the video was taken.

it was so scary and i liked the part where you go upsidown backwards!
i just mad that in my home town park California's great America took out fire fall like this ride but it has a floor and dosint flip they took it out for some reson

rip old tomb raider water sprying up gone fire wich btw was my favorite part of the ride and music.just hope that they will fix the fire part and the water too
They do some of the effects occasionally. Usually on their busier days. But unfortunately not often enough.
yeah i gus they do it on busyer days. i think they do it so more people can go on it i dont know.
Whispers they have tech nical difficulties with the effects

It's 15 years old. Sad because I did like it but I didn't expect it to last much longer so the announcement of it's removal was not a surprise

the carayst thing happened to me ridding it yesterday day when it was doing the final flip my over the sholuders restraint pop open like a good 5 inches and I has yellng so damn load my heart was not beating when I told one of the employees about what happend the guy was like "umm sort bout that" and left like the heck
At Kings Island in Ohio this ride was indoors

christian Rocha use your arms to prevent your balls from being crushed. Tuck your arms next to your body with hands pushing against the restraint while your elbows are on seat back next to your torso

Yeah. They'll have no problem whatsoever. You can put them up. You can hold on. I was giving you my recommendation to help give you a pleasant ride
i herd that its closed for this year due to the ride geting stuck upside down and the seat belts opening and kids falling out is that ture
christian Rocha No. Not one bit of that is true. Crypt/ Tomb Raider is still in operation and safe.
Volcano is closed this year though. No one was injured or killed on Volcano, KD is replacing mechanical parts and it won't be ready until next year.

christian Rocha yes, it is. Although they don't always play the music or the fire effects all the time. But the ride runs nicely and kings dominion replaced the restraints for this season.

If it were unsafe, why would it still be operating considering the high safety standards set in America for amusement rides? This ride has never had a fault.
