    It’s funny how there’s always that one Boulder on the job that you just can’t get out. We had one on one project the 315 Cat couldn’t take it out so we had to jackhammer it down enough to pour the sub slab for the bluestone over it.
    Love, adding in seating walls, gives him the extra seating and doesn’t take away from their patio area
    Looks great 🙏

      Right? Always one monster that doesn't want to be moved.... I have to saw cut / hammer down a few boulders / tops of ledge stones to get us low enough, always a pain in the ass... But hey, always worth it in the end! I agree, Sitting walls add so much to projects like these..✌

    Another great video! I know this is a touchy subject for most. But would you consider making a video breaking down on how’d you’d price something like this out. I’m located in CT and am looking to get into this type of work.

      Thank you! I have gotten a few requests for pricing videos, I do want to make some. Just not sure how I want to put them together yet... I may get a couple out at some point this year...But honestly, the most important part of pricing jobs like this is experience.... The more you do, the better you get at estimating. Knowing the mathematic equations behind figuring out materials is very important too. That's why I want to make sure the video I put together on pricing is how I want it, so it will take some time to figure out how to make the video... ✌

    Great work, holding up great lol, when placing pavers under a deck do you put them directly against the posts? Thanks

    • @TheChristianHardscaper
      @TheChristianHardscaper  Год назад

      Thank you! When you install pavers around any wooden posts, it is best to leave about a 3/8 inch gap around the post for breathing room. If they are to tight, it can cause problems down the road....

    • @theoceaneerz9883
      @theoceaneerz9883 Год назад +1

      @@TheChristianHardscaper thanks for the help, how do go about excavating around the post, because if you need to go down 8 to ten inches you could possibly expose the foundation of the post and lead to problems, sense there is no pavers hugging up tot he post would you recommend only excavating about an inch adjacent to the post. Thanks!

    • @TheChristianHardscaper
      @TheChristianHardscaper  Год назад

      @@theoceaneerz9883 The posts should be on footings that go much deeper than 8-10 inches... If they are not, just excavate at an angle to help prevent shifting, but you should be good. If they are much deeper than 8-10 inches, removing all the soil around the post footings and backfilling with stone is much better than leaving soil around them. Here in Massachusetts, deck posts need to be built on top of sonotubes that go 4 ft into the ground.... so we always excavate around them completely

    Hey man, huge fan of your channel. Trying to get into the hardscaping world myself and these videos have been very helpful. Few questions for you
    Do you guys use any sort of design software for each project?
    And I notice you tend to use Techo-bloc a lot, do you prefer their products over other manufactures? Do you give customers options with pavers or do you use what you think is best?
    Appreciate it!

    • @TheChristianHardscaper
      @TheChristianHardscaper  Год назад +1

      Thanks for the support man, I'm glad the videos are helpful to you! I don't use any software, just my mind and vision of what I think would look best. I do hand drawings (birds eye) for most customers if they need it to visualize the plan but that's about it. I show customers pictures of my previous jobs and explain how I can apply it to their job. At the same time, I show them examples of different style pavers, wall block, stone veneer, etc... It's really just a lot of back and forth communication with them as well as pictures / videos. The RUclips channel helps a lot too.... They can really see how we go about installing projects like this by watching my videos. Good luck with getting into the trade brother, practice makes perfect. The more jobs you sell and do, the better you will get!✌
