This is one of those games where watching makes me feel like a kid again… even if just for a moment. Please keep these going.

The ship catching the tank in space was better than a movie scene.

PLEASE! Jack as someone who's followed this game for almost a decade but never been able to experience it I've been truly loving every second of these
As an amateur game dev, im completely mind blown every 20 seconds, where something seemingly impossible in gaming has been done. Such as non glichy walking on a moving object without teleporting back and forths. The game not giving a fuck that you grab a box while driving a vehicle. The fact that tanks can be driven into spacecrafts. Like the fully simulated interiors that looks gorgeous of both the tank and the spaceships. This is AWESOME!
If you leave your RSI account in your will, hopefully your grandchildren might live long enough to see it released
WoW had "tanks" (kodos) 20 years ago
@@CadillacBunnerreading comprehension in the negatives
The physics in this game is really something, I didn't think that the tank would actually start rolling in once it got back on the ramp.
They will only get better. They are putting a lot of work into it. Last patch and this patch as a huge improvement.
except unfortunately the physics of actual space flight are arcade-like :(
@@igvc1876 arcade-like?? wtf. Or do you mean the assist settings that you can freely disable? Theres a lot to criticize but to call the spaceflight arcade-like is really, really weird.
yes, the minute gravity from the tank and ship so driving tank shouldnt work, should just float =), still pretty cool i must say, nice catch pilot
These ships and such have their own gravity, with gravity generators.

Imagine a game where you can walk into a flyable ship's cargo hold, then walk into a drivable tank that's stored inside, put drinkable beer bottles around the walkways, and have a jolly good time.
Did you even get to the part where they are shooting down spaceships with the tank gun through the open cargo bay doors? If you did how could you not mention that part? lol.

A couple patches ago the Org I'm in filled a Hercules (huge cargo bay) with 4 snub fighters. We took some PvE missions (kill spaceships) and used the Hercules as a kind of carrier. I worked great and was a lot of fun...but we didn't mark the location of the Hercules when we left the ship so we could never find it again. lol Won't make that mistake twice.
Rented one during event, fitted in a Tank, hover bike, 2 weaponised buggies and the beginner aurora spaceship haha.. still had space left. still nutty to me that you can load up vehicles within vehicles and fly off, how many layers can we go tho? :p

"What if we lowered the ramp while in space. Can we shoot a ship down, while in space with the tank. Is that possible?" - Classic Jack question.
The first minute of this video blew me away. I wish more games were like this to where there is so much detail added into the smallest things. Like being able to park your vehicles inside of your garage on your spaceship. Or opening the door of the tank and being able to walk through it and sit in a seat you’d like to sit in instead of just loading into a seat and it starting up without you clicking anything to start it up. I love that small added realism parts of games. It’s those little things that make the game feel so much bigger and I feel more games need this
it becomes reaaal tedious real fast if you have to do it over and over and over again.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate Tom's pilot skills. That was insane.
There are people that have been playing for years that would not be able to do that
This will be one of the most important games in history if they pull it off. Simply amazing what's been shown so far!
Not only because the project itself is impressive and super ambitious, but also because it could start a new trend of crowdfunded AAA games, without the need to go to shortsighted and conservative publishers.
@@r.daneel.90 I hope not! As someone who uses KS a lot it has zero quality control and the majority of these releases are vaporware.
@@ashleygray1632 CIG is creating a working model for this to be possible. The companies have to be open about development.
@@r.daneel.90 This project is unique and I'd be skeptical about other crowd funded projects. If you want the AAA game industry to clean up their act do it with your wallets and stop buying their games tell they fix their issues. Or wait tell a game is done and check trusted reviews about it before buying it rather then pre ordering it.
This already is one of the most important games in history because it shows other developers how not to manage your dev team. It's been in development for 12 years, has a budget of $400 million, and it's STILL in alpha? This game will never be completed because they can't stop themselves from implementing new features before finishing what's already there. I don't think they're being malicious. They're just in over their heads and have no idea how to manage resources.
The ship 'gravity generator' system is actually kinda genius, because it allows them to get around so many issues other games have (e.g. arma) with trying to put objects with collision meshes, such as other vehicles or people moving around, inside another moving vehicle. It simulationeously addresses that issue, works within the game lore and immersion, and opens up so many gameplay possibilities.
I can already see Kraken carriers with the pads adorned with Nova (edit: or ballistae for a missile cruiser) tanks, acting as an improv cruiser.
Holy crap! You guys and your imaginations inspire me. Someone will do it.
It's tech they spent a long long time getting right. Not easy!

When Jack and the gang play together, it's Star Citizen: Shenanigans
Yay Jack you're sounding better! Hope you're feeling better too man 🙏
Also: Star Citizen looks epic AF
Star Citizen's physics is incredibly janky, but it also has these incredible moments where you can get away with some ridiculous shenanigans, like using your tank as an extra weapons platform from inside your ship (or outside if your ship has a hangar!). I have managed to pick people up while falling in atmosphere, and it makes for some exceedingly tense moments. There is an incredible amount of freedom you get because of the physics grids and how solid vehicles inside other vehicles work.
Keep up the series Jack it's a lot fo fun to watch! I also can't wait to see when you lot eventually get crimestats because bounty hunting and punishment gets very interesting!
The ending is basically a scene from Interstellar. Was imagining the Hanz Zimmer score kicking in for a sec there
This is amazing content, almost like watching a great sci-fi comedy movie. Thank you so much for these
The amount of freedom you get in this game is insane. Catching a tank with a ship in space is insane. The fact that you can control the tank while in space is also crazy by itself.
People have jumped/fallen out of ships while in atmosphere and scooped back up before they hit the ground. And, at least once, they landed in the back hatch and then flew out the side door and kept going 🤣
What they dont show is the constant game breaking bugs in this vid that ruin the experience entirely.
