Amazing to think now that The Sopranos lost the Emmy that year and the next and the next…They were well into their run when they finally captured Outstanding Drama Series.
Brad grey is THE guy, organized it and pitched it.. there really should be a statue of him somewhere in Kearny or one of Chase in Clifton..coming from Jersey I never thought they could make a TV show out of this boring suburban place.. boy was i wrong
@@darj617 No.. he has sadly passed away quite a while ago.. but yes I do have some inside information .. chase merely developed what was given to him.. he has stated this in an interview before, but that's not where I got my info..(perfect guy for the job) ..I was at the 20th anniversary party on 23rd Street Manhattan which was like seeing the Beatles.. I did actually meet him (Brad)as a car service driver in the late 90s.. dropped Him at Newark airport back when they were developing the show.. of course we talked about the show for about a half hour ..
I think they were all working together on the early episodes of season 2 when the awards started coming for season 1.... so he probably just tagged along to the parties.... class actor. Deserved an emmy himself
Crazy to watch this and realize they had no idea how huge the show would eventually get.
I still watch The West Wing and The Practice.. great shows and great writing. But The Sopranos is something beyond superlative. It's masterpiece. 😇😇😱
"David, gimme that cheek" -Tony Sirico 😂😂
All those other contenders, bless them. They just knew what was coming.
Classic Tony Sirico always making a show!

Do you know Brad Grey personally? Just curious, your comment seemed like from an insider.

Originally they were pitching him as Tony, so he was a part of all this from day 1 (I guess, just like Steve Buscemi)
