  • This for HP computers that have a flood of WHEA-Logger ID 17 events.
The device featured in the video is a Pavilion P1K69EA ABU All in One computer with model number 23-q105na. It has several Realtek devices, but the LAN and the Card Reader are the ones that generate the flood of errors.
The files used can be found here: www.nicbunting....
You're welcome to search for them if you're not comfortable downloading from a link in a RUclips video description.
For the Intel drivers I used this link: www.intel.com/...
After installing and running it I allowed it to update the drivers and then removed it after a few reboots.
As you can see in the video, the flood stops.
I'm never going to get rich from this, but it is nice to get something... So if you've watched this video and it influenced or helped you then please click Like and Subscribe.
You can also buy me a coffee using the Ko-fi link if you think I deserve one...

Absolutely same 01 errors for PCIe Card Reader on a Gigabyte G5 GD laptop. Cant seem to find it in the Device Manager like you did though.

      It’ll be there… somewhere…
I’d check the optional Windows Updates… maybe one of those will help.

@@sterntechdaddy Ty for the reply sir. I found two things in "System Devices" drop down. 'Intel(R) PCI Express Root Port #5 - 43BC' and 'Intel(R) PCI Express Root Port #7 - 43BE'. Event Viewer specifies PCI\VEN_1987&DEV_5016&SUBSYS_50161987&REV_01.
Dont know what you can do with this information but any help's appreciated. Thank you.

      Here's what I would do...
Run Windows Update and take a look at the optional driver updates. Install all of them and then reboot and see what happens.
      :)

@@sterntechdaddy I noted that from your previous comment, everything's up to date already.

What drivers are available on the motherboard support site?
There might be something specific for the card reader there.

      Which link?
Just tried the ZIP download and the Intel link and both worked for me…
      🙂
Tweaked the hash in the model name as it isn’t supposed to be a URL.
      Was that it?

@@sterntechdaddy Not sure which link is the ZIP link as that word isn't in the description? Sorry. I don't meant to be a noodge. 😉

      This one...
      www.nicbunting.co.uk/Downloads/WHEA-Log-Flood.zip
It'll get flagged up as being unsafe by your browser because its a direct link to a ZIP file.
You'll need to confirm that you want to keep it. Check the download history in your browser... For Edge, you'll see three dots next to the filename - click that and then click 'Keep' and then 'Keep anyway'.
This is standard browser behavior now - don't worry the file is safe.
      :)
