As someone who loves Arai and rides in one, and will only ride in Arai until I can't ride anymore, I would suggest you put less sponsored testimonial in this video and more of a breakdown of the features. I had to go all the way to the Arai site and open the brochure to see all the features. That's what this video should have done for me. You've designed an amazing helmet, spend less time having your paid sponsors say nice things and more time actually showing people why this helmet is amazing!

Finally after a 2 year wait for the Quantic to land in the US, now as the Contour-X.

I've been riding with the Arai Contour-x for 4 weeks now after a gruelling search for my new lid, so I'll give you all the highs and lows...
Highs:
1) This thing is SOO unbelievably comfortable. It's like pushing your head into a velvet condom. (And that's a good thing!)
2) It's light. Real light. The reviews say the weight is on the higher side, but I find it remarkably light. Almost AGV light.
3) The ventilation is crazy good. You live in a hot climate? This thing is going to keep you cool.
4) My glasses go in with ease and sit on my nose. In fact, easier than any other AGV, Shoei or Shark helmet I've worn in the past.
5) It's got a smaller footprint than my old GT-Air... no bobblehead effect in a size XL.
6) It is beautiful. The Arai craftsmanship is stunning. I got the Face graphic, and I find myself just staring at the thing. 🙂
Lows:
1) Hot dang, it's expensive! The most money I have ever spent on a lid, but I keep them a long time so that's life.
2) WITH ALL THE VENTS OPEN, there is a lot of wind noise. But you see, ventilation requires moving air. Moving air is not quiet. When you close the two small top vents, it quiets down considerably. If you want a silent lid, go with the Shoei GT-Air 2 or 3.
3) The visor mechanism takes some getting used to. I have an old Arai Vector-2, so I'm used to it. Not a deal-breaker.
4) No photochromic shield available as of writing this. It's okay, I own sunglasses.

Have being riding for 44 years when I was in Italy I was using AGV But the first time I got my self on aARAI ,is the only helmet I have being buying till now, for me simply the best ( but that Is just my opinion!!) Every out there have a safe ride and be safe ciao
You know how long I've been waiting for this thing to come over from the EU. Glad procrastination paid off.
I have to try it before I say it is the best helmet; if we buy a thing based on a review, we might be surprised by the outcome!

i have a few Arai helmets, Profile-X, Renegade-V and a Corsair-V and this is the best one... fit, feel, vision and venting, its the best one..... the only thing i wish Arai would do is integrate the speaker pockets into the shell rather then putting the speaker cut outs on the cheek pads, it just makes for an easier install, but in saying that, the Contour-X/Quantic has a small pocket in the neck roll were you can tuck away the excess speaker cable, lastly that new vent at the front under the Arai logo, is counter intuitive, you push it down to open it, however the other two vents on top of the helmet require you to push up to open them, lucky i just leave all vents open and the only one i really move up/down is the chin vent. Arai, just make the vents all the same, just like how the visor works ie/ up=open and down=close...other then those quirks its still a great helmet
yeah but you get much better sound with them in the pads. I love them in the pads, I have had helmets with them in thee shell and it sucks imo

Does this replace the Defiant-X in the U.S. Arai lineup?
Which Arai is best for upright riding? I’m sure I don’t need wings on the back of my helmet.
The Signet-X or the Quantum-X works well for sport touring also. The most important question is which one fits you best.
@@AraiHelmetAmericas The main issue is airflow. A lot of these helmets are designed for a tucked position. I ride a HD and want a full face that flows sitting up straight.
@@aucklandsadventures both the Signet-X and Quantum-X flow very well in an upright seating position. We did have a HD Sportster on the Contour-X ride and the helmet did flow very well in that particular bike.

What Head shape is it made for?
It is an Intermediate oval shape
You did not show the features, just wonderful people saying wonderful things. I cant be sure, if this helmut is for me. I will look elsewhere for better information

Still no shield release on both sides, and the mechanism is not easy with gloves.
ARAI doesn't want you to take your hand off the throttle and brake controls to open the visor.
I have a Corsair-X, love it, but this contour looks like all the rest, except for a few simple changes....Eh ??
