The function can only see the data you give it in the prompt. If you have sensitive data in the spreadsheet, but don't reference it in the prompt, then there is no risk of leakage. Think of it like having ChatGPT in a formula. If you wouldn't put it in ChatGPT, then don't reference it in the formula.
Thank you Mynda for your always kind updates you provided to us... the development now is so fast and i think we need to learn how to deal with it to be more efficient in our work... Thank you again...
Thanks as always! I've tried to use this function to get it to do something in Excel, but instead of doing it, it's telling me how to do it. Is there something I'm missing?
This tool can't change cells in your spreadsheet, it can only return information. Next week I'll show you the tool that can change cells in your spreadsheet e.g. add formatting, formulas, PivotTables and more.
Thanks for another terrific video. The scope of things one can do with Excel grows day by day and none of it is accessible without training! GPT's middle name is "pre-trained"! 🤓
As always, LOVE your videos. So grateful you do these for us. One question - it appeared you use the 3.5 TURBO within the settings for Lab. Why not use 4.0 Plus instead? Curious to know. :)
Thanks for your support! The GPT-4 queries cost more! Actually, there was no specific reason. If I got the answer i needed with GPT-3.5 then I left it on that. If not, I can override the model in the formula arguments.
Thank you for this info! How can I permanently revert my default font to Calibri? I guess my Excel updated overnight, because this morning I had the new Aptos Narrow, which I absolutely hate. I found I can change the workbook theme to Office 2013-2022 but I have to remember to do that every time I start a new workbook.
Aptos is growing on me, but you can change the default workbook settings as explained here: www.myonlinetraininghub.com/customize-default-excel-workbook
Aptos Narrow is a mess at the moment. It looks reasonably sorted (but not brilliant) on the web, but in the desktop app the rendering is horribly inconsistent between point sizes. And it keeps changing - just this last week the '1' numeral suddenly got a bottom bar similar to Calibri, which is inconsistent with the other Aptos variants. I don't know what MS are doing with it. The only way I've been able to make it passable is to set the size to 10.5 - don't know why but it looks smarter (to me) at that size than 11 or 12. Hopefully once they stop messing around with it it’ll look universally like it does on the web, and people will get used to it (I’m starting to).
@@MyOnlineTrainingHub Thanks for you reply, You are a very skilled Excel expert. I was wondering if we could collaborate because I have been working on an Excel assistant recently. I am an independent developer who has been trying to develop AI-related software since being laid off. However, I am not good at marketing. If you are willing, we can work together. I am willing to share the software's sales revenue with you. Looking forward to your reply. Thank you once again! 🤝
My formula returns, after some time on #BUSY, always a #N/A error. Is this a paid feature? E.g. do you need to pay for an OpenAI subscription to their api?
Great to see you trying it out. I explained the cause and solution to that error towards the end of the video 😉 Yes, it's a paid feature, but you get free credit that expires after 30 days when you create an OpenAI account, so perhaps your credit has expired.
It will give you an answer, but you'd get a more specific answer if you can give it context like cell references, field names and more detailed instructions like length of loan etc.
How do you know the result returned by ChatGPT is not "hallucinated" when it operates on a large set of data or the results don't include "hallucinated" elements when the result is a large set of data itself?
You have to buy tokens to use it, yes. However, if you signed up for your OpenAI account recently, then you should have some credit you can use. To find out, check your account usage: platform.openai.com/usage
Hi I want to compare with the previous version which I don't save I use one file which pulls the data when it opens so it refreshes the file with the latest data and I want to compare with the previous version
Thanks for the demos here. Sentiment analysis could be pretty useful with survey/questionnaire data (depending on how reliably it actually detects the sentiment). Have to say though, part of me is somehow reluctant to use this kind of thing... just feels like... *cheating*. I know there's no choice though - it's full steam ahead, or get left behind!
Yes, it always needs some validation. You could probably check a sample of responses and come up with a confidence level. As for it feeling like cheating, I would get over that ASAP. Before we had the internet we'd go to the library for research. Did you feel like it was cheating to be able to do your research online when the internet was at your fingertips? Not everything online is correct/accurate, but you don't feel guilt for using it. I think of ChatGPT as the next level of search, just better, smarter and faster. Embrace it, but don't trust everything it says. You can always ask it to tell you how confident it is in its answer and cite its sources.
@@MyOnlineTrainingHub I've never felt like using the Internet to research something was cheating, but I grew up with it. I have heard some people who lived through the transition express thoughts of that nature. I'm sure they got over it. It's not really _guilt_ - more that I just get less satisfaction from prompting an AI and having answers handed to me than from working some things out for myself (depending on what it is, of course). But that will obviously take a back seat when it has the potential to turbocharge productivity to such an extent. I'm sure I'll get over it, too!

Are you saying users are too greedy (frugal) to pay $30/month after billions have been invested to create and develop this? Because I DO think users will pay a TINY monthly amount to receive so much value. Or if they won't pay then they won't play.
❓ How are you going to use this new AI function? Let me know in the comments!
I honestly do not know if I'm going to use AI
Thank you so much for the video Mynda. you always give detail information with advance functions.
You are so welcome! 🙏😊
What are the privacy controls in place when using that function? Should this be avoided when working with personally identifiable information?

Mynda this is unbelievable! Thanks!

Nice....why does it for a split moment shows busy, is the formula calculated at the cloud ?
Yes, depending on the complexity of the task, it might take a bit of time to show the result, so the "busy" text appears in the cell.
Wow! This is amazing stuff. Thank you for sharing with us Mynda!
Happy to read that! Thank you 😊

It’s not $30 bucks pm for a single helper, it’s $30 bucks pm for a whole suite of products which demand professional dedication to master. Idiot.
Actually, this is a pay as you use model. If you don't use it, you don't pay. Each request is a fraction of a cent.
