I was about to say the same, he hits those string like they own him money... but considering he is playing on ESP LTD M-7HT that might be the case actually.
@@didtoknan8128 well, their common tuning is Drop G (G D G C F A D ), Sabian sometimes using six string guitar for it (G D G C E A). for this song they're droping low G to a D#, which is kinda already mad, but Sabian also doing it with his 6 string, which is even madder. and i don't think that Sonic Youth tunings are that messed up. Yea, having almost every song in a different tuning is really messed up, but the tunings themselfs aren't that crazy. it's not a big deal to tune some strings unison lol
7 string Drop G - GDGCFAD . Thats the tuning of my AGILE 30" Baritone 7 string. Dialed in a nasty Patch with a whammy on my GT-1000 that blows s#!t up! FTW!@@didtoknan8128
What can I say that hasn't already been said. This is beyond DOPE! Sabian, Scott well done! These guitar play throughs are so inspiring, I always enjoy watching these, every single one of them! You guys make me so happy!!!
if the scale length is big enough you have no problems. actually many 7 strings have a 25,5 which is dumb and therefore handle Drop G and lower very poorly.
ESP LTD is a 27" scale Ibanez is 26,5" Scale Some define 27" being shortest scale for a baritone guitar and some even add everything above 26". Still think that they are a bit short. Wouldn't go below drop f# on 26,5 and drop E on 27". But they only dropped the heaviest string that low. The other would pretty much stay in tune on a regular 25,5" and even an 24,75" Gibson scale.
They probably have the evertune setup to where the low 6th/7th string to stay in tune no matter what. But it is possible to do so. But you would need a 74 Guage or higher as lower Guage strings don't provide much tension.
Baritone most likely. you can go pretty low without having to use more strings. Cabal's guitarist did a playthrough on a baritone in like drop f. They look fun.

You guys make some of my fav guitar play throughs.
Yea these guys and Oceans ate alaska do us justice
My dude in the black is putting that Evertune to work. He hits those strings with the force of a thousand men

I think the guitars were recorded without evertune, otherwise the bands at 2:10 would not work
@@MarinGuitar you can set the evertune to bend
@@MarinGuitar Bro you can easily bend with an Evertune bridge lol
That tuning is mad, I love it
@BiRDiEMusic It's just a D Standard with a low D#. If you want messed up tunings, go see Sonic Youth.
@@didtoknan8128 it's drop G with a low D#

I lost 2 years of my life , how the fuck am I discovering this late 2023? I'm saying this as a drummer
These guys are beast
this would not sound out of place on the Doom soundtrack
Alpha Wolf is very Mick Gordon
came here and stayed for looking at the cute Cyndaquil and Cubone, while endjoying so good ass chug-a-thon
The power of baritone guitars
I play this on my Agile 30" baritone 7 string in Drop G. Sick as hell with some whammy patches on my Gt-1000.
So sad Rondo Music ( Agile guitars) is practically no more. Great, Great company. Got 2 guitars from them. Love them both.

Just ordered a ltd m-7ht a couple days ago and tried finding some more videos on it, this made me very happy I got one lol
We are so addicted to this instrumental!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🤘🤘🤘🤘🤩 Hell yeah from Poland 🇵🇱
I'm guessing Sabian was in D#DGCFA and Scottie was in D#DGCEAD? I'm only assuming from the playthrough of Restricted (R18+).
I love these videos
Yo can we use this for vocal covers of the track??
Thought I was listening to a new doom eternal soundtrack for a minute
The whammy pedal is fucking gnarly. Things been such a game changer for so many people lately. Awesome playthrough chaps!
head and munky nailed it in the 90's, glad to see it back!
I bought a whammy because of them. Never thought I would use one until I found out about them.
What’s the E/F in the tuning in the description?
Dudes been wearing a mask long before covid, you think he knew something that we didn't?
Nah it's just a style choice lol
Sounds more like a bass playthrough 😂
On a 6 string?! what an absolute madlad
Probably a baritone

26.5” scale I think. Also the evertune gotta help
it’s baritone

awesome playing. is this 6 string a baritone? to be able to be tuned all the way down to d?

its baritone guitar man long scale
So sick
Tough as guts!
Those strings are gonna file assualt charges.
Sabían and Scott tearing shit up xoxo 👌👌
Damn that's crunchy
Drop D1 tuning with only 26.5 scale and .74 strings? Seems like it is pitch shifted with the DigiTech pedal.
We owe it to the Evertune
Interesting. I thought that bridge's only purpose was maximum tuning stability and not defying physics. :D
@@AlphaWolfCVLT I am interested in the Ibanez Axion Label. Could you guys tell me, which model of the Evertune is used in that guitar, pls?
Any 8 string playthroughs??
oh yes
