Ball should automatically transfer overhealth to allies when adaptive shield expires. It's a small QOL change but kind of like auto-reload it would be a huge help.

4:39 they changed it so that reloading is about half a second faster when doing it normally as opposed to in your ball.
In many cases I still prefer to reload in the ball because I'm usually doing something else at the same time, but there are some situations where you might just want to focus on getting your bullets up as fast as possible, so you'd want to stay in crab form instead.

Only time i ever reload in crab is when i know there are no stuns near me, otherwise its usually always ball.

i know wall jumping on players is super niche but i did it to a ram today and i was so giddy
i jump on heads to use piledriver while contesting in ot often, it is very niche. the main spot i use it is lijang night market, i use grapple for the fast recontest over the gap, then jump off someones head for an easy piledriver.
i also use it in a 1v1 situation if there arent any other ways to land a piledriver, like if im out in the open or no grapple cd
1:07 theres another version of this where you get just the right angle on your retract and you land seamlessly on the high ground -- and im pretty sure it makes no sound

21:30 This is the majority of wall jumps I do now-a-days haha. It's pretty easy to do a fireball super jump off a flat wall if you hit it at an angle like this
You're missing an opportunity for damage, when in air shoot down at the enemy, then use slam and by the time the enemy realize, you have cool down for grapple again and you can speed away or sling up in air again and do it over

Just came back to OW to try Wrecking Ball again. INCREDIBLY fun. Great updates.
They should make a highlight-intro for Ball where he comes hooking in like the Widow one, only he's in Crab-mode. As a nudge to OG Ball-players.
14:19, one more use for rebound is to do a toronto kick/retract into a piledriver and then rebound and run them over, and with the fireball you gain from your rebound you can escape back to your team for heals/a health pack. Also, toronto kick is way more flexible than what you said in the video, if you're good at it
My favorite ball tech is when the game start, use grapple to loop around back to spawn to switch character

My fellow Ball enthusiasts: What's the best input for the retract the grapple? I don't like space because I like the classic spin to win and being able to bounce as Yeatle mentions in the video.

Yeah, skyball is definitely called slingshot, not skyball. Skyball is the playstyle, not the tech.
Usually when i see ball I think they are just mindlessly rolling around and slamming but this gave some appreciation for the mechanical depth he has I wanna pick him up now 😭

The Toronto Kick is such an awesome name in comparison to other techs that's literally just called "(insert ability or terrain here) tech"

bro i never knew you had to do a backwards imput for the wall jump. The moment you said that i instandly went to practice it. And i almost hit every single one. Finally i can become a pro ball
You can bind jump to scroll wheel to make it easier to hit jump too, i dont do it personally but many ball players do as some people struggle to consistently hit both buttons together.
They need to have the WB voice actors make voice lines around the new mechanics,

I’ve had to deal Hamster 🐹 as Kirko main. On PC. The Catch is I play on controller. None the less Hamster 🐹 has multiple fighting styles as 🏀 ball form and with his guns 🔫 These are exciting times for Hammond mains

Cause you dont need to stop the fireball... kinda the same as double boop
if you boop somebody with fireball hit the wall after that with that fireball - you can actually u-turn the same person with the same fireball and it will connect

Giving shields to your teammates doesn't give them shields for the full duration unfortunately. It's just 4 seconds. I wish it was longer.

Wait isn't there the LOS boop tech that allows you to double and triple boop in certain map geometries?
boop, los the enemy, boop again, yes. Hard to pull off consistently but good tech.
They stealth nerfed the repeated regrappling. It seems really inconsistent but it resets your timer so you can’t hang indefinitely
Its still there, you have to time it. When you grapple as youre moving down fast, it will put you in fireball mode for a split second before you manage to retract, since retract is not instant. Thats why sometimes you might get the cooldown. But when you practice it you can do it indefinitely. Doing spiderball is my new routine in spawn while waiting for the match to start because its fun haha

All my ball teammates seem to love this tech
Minor comment: a walljump doesn't require opposite input -- you can let go of W a little earlier and not press S at all -- it's all the same. I use the opposite input method like you, but I know at least one high level baller that just hits walls dead-on & uses W only. I pracced it for a while and it works fine, it's the same but different.

I have always told people to be careful what you complain about being OP in OW, because like clockwork the Devs will almost always nerf said annoying thing only to give a much more crazy op version to someone else outta left field. People bitched endlessly about Pharah living in the skybox, they nerf her, an then like clockwork what do we have now? Ball of all heroes being able to have more in air time now than Pharmacy ever did.

Yup u can def can wall jump on controller I used to do it all the time, but it’s def not as easy with lower sensitivities to do wall jumps and rebounds, and in the heat of battle it gets even harder lol
Edit: bruh I wish I knew that sideways jump lol, and the hard part about controller, what I was struggling with at first, was PAUSING between inputs, like, you have to hold forward on left stick, then right before you hit the wall, *you stop inputting on the left stick,* then as you hit the wall, backwards input
I would just go forward until I hit the wall and then backwards, which would just do a slow rebound lol, def gotta get the muscle memory down, but I’ve def accidentally done that sideways jump and didn’t realize what I was doing
In general ball was harder for me when my sensitivity was lower, when I was first playing him, if my sens was high my accuracy was low and vice versa lol
I used to accidentally walljump people all the time because I was a massive feeder going through the enemy team, jumping on the tank while in ball form and holding PD

I feel like if i practice these I could clean out gold elo. You wouldn't really get away with some of these all the time in top 500, but at a low rank people's minds would fry trying to comprehend what just happened to them.

As a console player, I will just stick to slamming harder and occasionally using angled platforms for jumps.
Also super jumping with the new retract, because this one actually works.
