This is super cute and commendable, making those appliqués are just wow 😮 such good design , I envision you in a orange sweater with that skirt and a witch hat , and girl you would be the reason for the season ok 👌 congratulations once again you really did go the extra mile and it shows 🎃👏🎃
Honestly, they need to give this gal a TV show - or maybe a segment in some show, so that it wouldn't impinge on her having enough time for her own stuff and family. Can absolutely imagine Serena as a guest for some crafty channel on TV. Oooh, or a regular guest on something like the _Today_ Show or _GMA_!
This came out so amazing!!💜 🎃🤩 The yellow highlights on the pumpkins added so much dimension! I love all the different layers on each pumpkin and the beads on the bats it made it all really pop! 🤩💜
I've made a few novelty applique skirts and you're right about more people stopping you and about stories. I made one for our first wedding anniversary using leftover felt from a pennant banner I'd made for the wedding to make fall leaves, a tree, and two squirrels (we got married in October and used a squirrel S&P set as our cake topper). The others were for Halloween and Christmas. They're really just so fun to wear!
I HAVE SAID IT BEFORE AND I WILL SAY IT AGAIN" WOW WHAT TALENT " RENA MAKE IT LOOK SO EASY, BUT THIS TAKES REAL TALENT, OH TO BE YOUNG AGAIN HAPPY HALLOWEEN
The appliqués look really neat, I can see a retro Halloween letterman sweater working out well with this technique. Thanks for sharing! hope you have a Happy Halloween season 🎃✨
So beautiful and fun! I'm so impressed with how you attached all of these with glue and the sewing machine. I hand embroidered a spiderweb onto an apron and my arms were so sore afterwards.
Your creativity is so inspiring and entertaining. Really look forward to your videos. I've told my sewing friends about your channel and more than a few have subscribed! Just love the spooky circle skirt!
Sew fun. I actually have a pattern for a felt 1950s skirt that I made it out of curtain and the hat, they are fun to make. Great creativity. Keep inspiring.
I just adore this skirt! I think the kids trick or treating your house this year will love it. Your videos are always relaxing and I appreciate the beautiful work you do every time.
You never disappoint! This is so adorable and stylish. Halloween is my favorite holiday, I love vintage, and I love your whole manner and style. Live life to the fullest on your own terms and look amazing doing it! Happy Halloween and abso boo 👻 tuly bewitching you are!
You should definitely use the free machine foot and turn off the dog feet for applique work. Embroidery hoop helps too with a backing for stability. Love the design and colours 😊
"Now I'm just gluing down the heads of the bats" = one of those phrases I never would have predicted I would hear in _any_ context, let alone vintage and vintage-style fashion😂🦇 🦇🦇🎃
you look so cute, I noticed the number of subscribers you have, I have been watching you since 35 or 40,000.! man you have grown over the last 3 years!! I think it was your your tube shorts. but I really enjoy the tutorials over the shorts...happy halloween, looking forward to all your holiday sews!!
That is really spectacular piece of sewing. And it looks beautiful on you. Well done. All the best of pumpkin-spice-spooky season to you and yours. - Cathy (&, accidently, Steve), Ottawa/Bytown/Pimisi
Love of my mother compels me to point out, to anyone in the comments who doesn't already know, that when SewRena says "skirts of the 1950s," she's referring more specifically to the *_late_* 1950s. My mom graduated in 1954, and one of her pet peeves is when people ( _not_ SewRena, mind you, just people in general) represent the 1950s exclusively with _late_ 1950s music and fashion. Pencil skirts were a big deal when she was in high school, for example, and those fun felt appliqué skirts weren't so much a thing until her younger sister was in school. The 1950s was just as much Perry Como, McGuire Sisters, Louis Armstrong, et al., as it was Little Richard or Ritchie Valens. Again, NOT correcting SewRena in any way, as she's absolutely right about which decade those skirts were popular; just throwing in an additional tidbit for the education of all who are interested in popular culture and vintage.
On quite the contrary, I’m glad you shared with us! I personally love hearing stories and tidbits about what people wore day to day in the mid-century decades. And Jane’s just being a b*tch.
A week because of filming. It could easily be a no sew project for the appliqués since you can’t wash the skirt anyway and you would be done in a few days maybe less

WOW
It's called Hallothanksmas.
Hahaha
Just so cute!!!!
How cute! 🎃 Did you make the shirt as well?
Cute!
And I shared it too!!
Love this. Do you have a video on how you make applique designs for Cricut (or sell SVG patterns for the ones you've made?)
I do not have a video but I can make one.
@@SewRena OMG pleeease teach me your waysss
Any suggestions on how to get sizing? Im a beginner, should I just buy a pattern for full circle skirt any suggestions on pattern name -brand?
🔥❤️🔥🔥
Cute skirt! How on earth did you get that felt off your Cricut mat??
Wash it with warm water and dish soap. Use a soft toothbrush to scrub
@@SewRena thanks! Good to know.

does anyone know what the name on the neckline the black top she’s wearing in the thumbnail is? almost like an boatneck with a turtleneck lip?????
It’s a top with a stand collar. ruclips.net/video/F4cEyRE-FVs/видео.htmlsi=x6I1AA9_lAoI6q3t
