See, the ironic thing is Sang tae's memory of the incident is warped. He was never pushed in there. The ice broke under him, and he fell in. In the end HE was the one that abandoned Gang tae to die in the water after he was helped out of the water. Although I understand he was having a meltdown.
I felt horrible for Gang tae this scene because the codependency he has with his brother is preventing him from having a life of his own.
I also feel bad for Sang tae cos, as you mentioned, he only has Gang tae, and so the lies must've especially hurt. But he did say it once before in their first scene at Moonyoung's place, "Sang tae belongs to Sang tae," so he is being hypocritical by not applying the same rule to Gang tae. Although this is probably something that'll get worked on in future episodes.
He always says he is the big brother, I kind of want to see him step into the role a little in a way that isn't beating up his little bro, lol
Yes to all of this. This episode really breaks you down. Some great acting.
definitely yes to daily dose of sunshine!! i love that show so much, i think it does dive deeper into different psychological disorders out there and i would love to hear your thoughts on the show :)
I still can watch the end scene it really upsets me . And things from childhood you remember wrong sometimes like here the ice broke he never push him
I would also recommend Dr. Slump as a great kdrama to watch. It doesn't discuss mental health in as much depth as this drama or Daily Dose of Sunshine, but I think it has some very interesting representations of PTSD/depression in the main characters.
i'm glad it's not just me, ju-ri was testing my patience😭 one thing about this world, there is no shortage of MEN. why you would chase and pine after one who isn't interested in you for 9 episodes is beyond me

38:17 can somoene explain what was going on here i was kinda in a similar situation in whch my mom overheared my brother telling me he felt unhappy everytime he was with my mum.
When my mom confronted him i didn't know what to do but just cry as i knew my mom was about to cry but she didn't as she doesn't show it to us, and my brother was bursting out in tears saying that's not how he feels.
I knew how both felt (sorry) but didn't know who to comfort first and how to braek it down to them so i just cried.
