For a movie that's telling us how excess is bad, it sure is an overly long and overbearing mess of excess itself.
Form follows function. ;-)
Hahahahahaha
“Dead in the water, no pun intended.”
Captain America “I understood that reference.”
As a teenager , I would have loved it. As an adult , I enjoyed it but instantly forgot about it. Rate it C+
as a teen ager id have analised the mistakes more and hated it. as a adult and someone thats lived through 20 greta superhero years i saw a bad, backwards writen and sloppily lazy made movie. not good in any way.
The subplot with Pedro Pescal and his son could have easily been in an entirely different fantasy movie, something similar to Liar, Liar or Bruce Almighty. It was so strange.
That would've been so much more interesting. XD
The algorithm hadn't (that I recall anyway) ever recommended your channel before but I'm glad it did. SUBBED
Wonder Woman (in middle of killer cartwheel) -- ""Don't do drugs." (Resumes kicking ass.)
The sad thing is I don't know wether you are kidding or it's actually in the movie, both seem equally likely.
You say mordern super hero movies tend to take themselves too seriously... I don't think we've ever seen a Marvel movie take itself seriously.
Whenever i hear someone say "the 80's was a decade of over abundance", i laugh.
Compared to today, it was conservative.
I was there.
Of course it was. Reagan, Thatcher, and that time, Gorbachev and Teng were more conservative than liberal as commies.
They mean 80's hair band videos and stupid cult comedies about nerds. That's what Hollywood is trying to sell people on the 1980's being like.
In reality the National Lampoon Vacations with the Griswalds are a more realistic look at the 1980's.
Your outfit fits to the simplicity you were talking about and hoping to see in this movie. Perfect contrast to the overload.
So glad I found your channel! Really enjoy your film perspectives.
Gadot really deserves more credit for her performance in this film (3rd act aside). Her endearing naivete really sold her performance in the first film and now that she went through that initial arc, she has the harder job of relying more on her confident and dramatic scenes and my god did she hit it out of the park. Her scenes with Steve were gut-wrenching and like you said, didn't capture the magic of the first film, the chemistry was still there and carried the movie for me during a very awkwardly paced 2nd act. The Barbra friendship wasn't nearly as strong as the film thinks it is but I just think they needed more scenes together and for Diana to really feel Barbra's betrayal. I think the film would've benefited having Diana, Steve, and Barbra be a trio chasing Max instead of leaving Barbra on the sidelines.
I think movies like this one don't have anything to present anymore besides black and white realities with condescending messages that they throw straight in your face presenting you the idea of false hope or mindless guidance. It's such a bad way of oversimplifying everything.
FOR THE KIDS BRO!!!
Most of DC and Marvel is literally for kids so ... yeah. Doesn’t mean you gotta like those movies though, I know I don’t really.
@@sprawlz6466 agree
Some parts at the end cracked me up.
"Well I wish you would drop dead"
*Boom lady falls straight to the ground*
Too literal folks. Just a little too literal lol
Funny how with all this nostalgia of the 80's going on,most of those movies made in the 80's would be unmakeable in today's woke Hollywood,Scare Face(racist),Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure(homophobic),Raging Bull(misogynist),Back To the Future(toxic masculinity) heck they'd probably claim that the fucking Muppets movie is too hetero normative of some crazy shit like that lol...
"A camel? Horse built by a committee." I think that was Terry Gilliam.
If you haven't seen it, I think you might like Thor: Ragnarok. It doesn't take itself seriously AT ALL really. For instance, instead of an epic, triumphant, Zimmer-esque score during a big battle scene, Led Zeppelin just starts blasting instead. Taika Waititi is (in my humble opinion) the best thing to happen to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
the fact that nobody treats comic movies seriously is the problem. they are either too serious or straight up goof troop.
@@atomskthepirateking2776 Then you were watching the wrong comic book movies. Try these: "A History of Violence", "Road To Perdition", "From Hell", "Ghost Town", "Persepolis" (animated), "In This Corner of the World" (animated), "Ghost in the Shell" (animated or live action remake), "V For Vendetta", "Radioactive", "The Batman", "Blue is the Warmest Colour", "Logan: The Wolverine".
Loved that she's back in primary colours 💚
I think an interesting aspect is that she defeats the threat through idealism, and redempts the villain, rather than dealing with issues through sheer force. I honestly really like superheroes and their most interesting aspect imo is meta in the sense that they're there to inspire people to act better. It's corny, it's an oversimplification of what living life is, but people (not just children) need models, and honestly fictionnal models tend to withstand the test of history better. And then again, the oversimplification of issues in superheroes is often that you can have the good (your side) win over the bad (them) by punching. But that's not what this movie does (contrary to its predecessor). It's got lot of issues but this bit, I liked.
It kinda sucks that compassion is "relegated" to how the GIRL superhero wins the day, feels pretty antidated but hey, at least compassion as a way to win the day exists somewhere in the modern superhero movie landscape.
Even though the movie wasn't made in 1984 don't forget my movie Supergirl 1984 with Helen Slater was made that year. The Supergirl movie wasn't that good but it has charm. Supergirl and Wonder Woman would have made a good team so regardless of the issues with the movie it's still great
Ah, finally I see that someone else also caught glimpse of that connection. 💙❤️💛
There were so many things wrong with this movie we should've gotten a montage with 80s music playing of Diana clothes shopping with Steve, showing Barbara on a safari staring at & admiring cheetahs before she returns to the city where she goes to the museum & she meets Diana for the first time. How Diana enquired the powerful armor she wears at the end of the movie, showing Barbara's slow physical transformation into Cheetah as well as loosing her humanity.
maybe its 1984 cos 2020 is basically dragging us into Orwells actual idea of 1984.

I agree with everything you said, but one problem, for me at least, was not ENOUGH Wonder Woman. Honestly if you did a way too long movie of Superman; that focuses mostly on Clark Kent, and only has about 20 minutes total of Superman you would have WW84. There are other problems, obviously, mostly what you said and a few others, but the lack of Wonder Woman hurt this movie. Also exclusively being set in 1984 fell flat because there's things in this movie that wouldn't have existed yet in real life. The time period was poorly represented before we get to bigger issues. Patty should rename this WW 1980's to rectify continuity issues; that not only mess up the comics, but mess up the time period as well. Anyways I enjoyed your review and I must admit if things don't work out with Gal Godot for WW3 maybe YOU could take over the roll. You're very beautiful. 💖
Pretty much in agreement, though I did find the film quite entertaining. I'm not at all a superhero fan, Batman to some extend excepted, but I do find the concept of Wonder Woman interesting. Have you seen Professor Marston and the Wonder Women, about the creator of Wonder Woman? He led quite an interesting life - and the 2 women as well, and his reason behind creating the character is fascinating. It's not a perfect film, strangely prudish & safe given the unusual, controversial relationships depicted. But the performances are very good and the subject matter intriguing. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it!
Is that a Lord of the Rings throw in the background? I'd love to watch a video of yours reviewing those movies.
It certainly is. I really do need to get around to reviewing those.
Lmaooo I just came here to see if I missed any recent videos only to be seconds behind this upload. Awesome.
Any films you are looking forward to that you feel not a lot of people have on their radar?
So my friend Mike recommended your channel to me and I immediately subscribed may I say you are absolutely beautiful your videos are amazing and you very quickly have become one of my favorite youtubers I myself am a RUclipsr I just started in 2019 I do WWE video game content the first video of yours I watched was the one where you reviewed your very first youtube video I like horror, Marvel, and DC movies the most I'm really looking forward to this review of WW1984
If the first WW was an homage to Richard Donner's Superman, this one is more like Superman 3, but I liked it though.
3 changes I would have made to this terrible story that would have at least given people something to rewatch are
=> The robbery scene. WW should have been working as a teacher on a field trip with the kids at the Mall. Then she saves the day using subtle moves not obvious to everyone but the little black girl knows she has powers.
=> The whole GIrl friend scenes would be taken off and instead she would be on a date with another dude interested in her. Sorry, I am not bringing back the dead for any reason. That loss should always be part of her even in her new relationship she should be reminded of him.
=> The make a wish dude is totally unnecessary. I would hake Cheetah and the Make a wish dude the same Character but her motivation would be Feminism. That is MeToo on Overdrive. She would have strong dispise for men and her motivation would be that she was rapped and left to die but she got power from the stone when she wished to be the strongest. Her mission is a world where women are free to reach their full potential without interferance of men. WW on the other hand loves men and believes in a world were Men and Women coexists as equals which puts her and Cheetah at odds. Cheetah creates a feminist Organization and their number keeps growing with lots of women subscribing to her vision. This would make Cheetah a formidable reoccuring Super Villian that would keep coming up with clever plots to achieve her feminist Utopia.
I havent seen a feminist Supervillian on screen and I believe she would be one of the most controversial and most interesting Villian of all time. It will attract Women who would believe in Feminist Utopia and also attract Men who hate Feminism. That conflict is ready to make a big splash and Wonder Woman, Supergirl or Black Widow should be the one to introduce the greatest Feminist Supervillian.
Doesn't surprise me...Wasn't Gal Gadot the one who started that god awful John Lennon song celebrity sing along video???
Hehe yep. I should've expected as much. XD
Gal did nothing wrong she just chose the wrong song to sing.
@@kendallforeman5692 It's not that she did anything wrong, just a bunch of celebrities thinking they are more important than they ought on a cringy video. I like her personally, just a bad idea.
@3rd Gunman Er, so? Gal Gadot still didn't write the movie regardless of how you feel about it.
All these big budget blockbusters have scripts written for teenagers and that leaves no impact. Plus they have so much going on when these characters originally were simple as hell.

My guess as to why WW84 takes place in that year is that it is a tongue-in-cheek reference to the movie Supergirl which was released in the same year and was equally goofy in tone. :)
after watching this hot mess i thought this was an alladin sequel no one ask for LOL
A lot of reviews of this movie say it starts better then it finishes
Lmao when a reviewer says they like something then proceeds to go in details how they don't. Appreciate her for the analysis. Hers are more introspective than most. That also goes into seeing this as an attack on Trump or Hollywood preaching. One guy was more honest and said he is not comfortable hearing people talk about love.. I LOVE it. Majority, real life especially, do. Not like it's at a 25%. It's just the ones who do are very dramatic like the 2 at work who got in a rage, tried to convince us to hate it and kept on. Issues! 🤣
Have you seen Brandon Cronenberg's Possessor [Uncut] yet? I think it's definitely the type of dark Sci-Fi horror thriller that you'd enthusiastically gravitate toward. It is phenomenal! Almost unbearably tense, haunting cerebral terror, and by the time the end credits hit the screen I was literally in tears & physically shaking. Emotionally but also euphoric.... That is a well deserved state of being but a positive in this case. I could say an annoying amount more about this film but do hope to see you review it. Or not, just hope you see it for your self above all else.
Brent Ulstad- Just finished watching it. He has his dad talent but has *nothing to say.* The main character was *despicable* with zero remorse the entire way. She never had a conflict with what she was doing...she just didn't like the tech glitches. This movie had *no point* & was just depressing. Let's hope this privileged young director finds a *real voice* & something to say.
@@CARTOONIVERSE1 yes it is very bleak & no main character has much to admire or respect at all. I guess I took it as a comment on our current state of obsession with new tech/social media, voyueristic pleasure, being in other people's heads and disconnected from our real world identity, at each other constantly to the point we have lost any resemblance of soul or rational or empathy. Absolute control becoming ones demise or downfall. I can tend to be more attentive to some of that since I personally do not utilize social medis other than an occasional comment in spaces like this, and I totally understand that this is my individual lens through which I viewed and appreciated the film, not necessarily the filmmakers intention or goal. I do know it began as a seed of an idea while he was run down and worn thin during press junkets for Antiviral. The technique & mostly in camera effects were impressive. I do tend to like alot of bleak, understated and "depressing" films which many others may not see value in, and I know DeepFocuslens does often have similar opinions or insights which are sometimes unique so I was just curious on her take. Not a movie I expect many to be moved by or invested in.
@@brentulstad3275 - I think *you* should have written the script for him. It was entertaining but I'll *never* watch it again. It's important that we relate to the main character who we are following(this can be done even with an unlikable character). There was *nothing* relatable or redeemable about her. Again he has talent, but just needs to have a message or point(happy or sad). George Lucas is ALSO more interested in "world-building" at the expense of story & character. Tarantino is another extremely talented guy *with nothing to say.*
@@brentulstad3275 Sounds pretty fascinating to me, thanks for the hint! Is the director related to David Cronenberg? I love his film Videodrome, which also deals with the effects of living vicariously through media and how that affects our desire and identity.
@@elfsieben1450 yes, David Cronenberg's son. Still one of my favorite Scifi-horror movies in recent years and if you're a fan of the genre, Philip K. Excellent review.
A comic book made into a movie not a Bergman film I enjoy yr videos What do you think of Barbella or forbidden Planet or Lolita 1962. Do you have a top ten film list ??? Do you like Blue Velvet????? Lynch films/ any rare films you like ?????
Excellent review Maggie. You used the film's faults to highlight the larger problem of the larger media these days. That strange desire to turn everything into a political lesson. Obviously a Wonder Woman film isn't going to be Tarkovsky. But it's getting extremely hard to even make a Superman film. From mandatory diversity casting to the obvious pokes at the Orange Man, Hollywood has taken on the role of wartime level propagandist. It really gets exhausting. So we get fewer individual visions. And fewer genuinely enjoyable popcorn movies. And most frighteningly there is that desire to remake every successful franchise into a 'new vision' more in alignment with 'the present'. I think what made the original Wonder Woman so good is that all of those elements were not present at all. And I suspect that when the story of how this film was made leaks out we're going to probably find that there was a worthy story buried in here that too many awakened cooks couldn't stop adding spices to. But yeah given Gal Godot and the original Wonder Woman film I'd be up to see a better Wonder Woman film down the line. Thanks for the honest review.
Excellent commentary.
Wonder Woman part 1 wasn't so hot either. They started off so well with the idea that there is no real Ares. The idea of war is just residing in humans. But then out of thin air,it is actually Ares who has been ravaging the humans. So what was the first hour for? The action was cool though and the central relationship of the movie worked. It was a fairly average feature still, nothing close to what it was celebrated as.
Like Gordon Gekko meets Lex Luther as played by Gene Hackman
That pretty much covers it.
You don't need to know anything about Donald Trump to understand the film.
(And it's too much of an honour to him to mention him in the context of an entertaining movie. Even if said movie were mediocre, it would still be better than his presidency was.
You tricky little trickster... you did it again... you tricked me!!! Ugh 😣😣😣 Why, why, WHY???!!!😜😜😜 LMFAO 😆😆😆☕🥁🌉

I agree👍. Wonder Woman was a great film but the sequel was not. There's a little bit problem about scripted, plot twist, cgi mess & hoping they adding more action. But It was good film but not great. Honestly I'm not a fan of DC but I like this film bcoz U already say it from your opinion & it's my opinion to, just in addition to your opinion for me Gal was fit in this character, i like the cameo of Linda Carter the og & I love the message of this film that u can be hero no matter who u r, at least there's no gender limits in this film unlike other female heroes😅. I love your review, U really know how to criticize a film🥰
By the way, out of context. I saw Don’t Look Now (1973) yesterday. Would like to hear your opinion of it. It certainly has the Lynchian abstract elements and vibe.
Oh yes! I saw it about a month ago. What a memorable film.
Truly. They made Venice look sinister and ugly
Patty Jenkins wants to bring back Cheetah and Gal Gadot wants to close out her WW run bringing Steve Trevor back.
I'm curious what you think about David Byrne's movie, True Stories.
Please review Promising Young Woman next!
This movie was a complete mess, and probably the strangest super hero move I've ever seen. The lack of morality for how Diana gets her deceased love interest Steve Trevor back is never acknowledged by her. She gets Steve back courtesy of a plot convenience object, a wishing stone. Steve reappears to her in the body of another man. Her rescinding of her wish to have Steve back is portrayed a heart wrenching sacrifice, but all I could think is that she had no right to do what she did. This was an innocent man she was using like a cheap meat suit, and exposing to considerable risk, to live out the memory of a dead man she once knew. Only credible way for her to atone for what she has done is to realize what a monster the stone has made out of her, take this innocent man back to his home and apologize for using him the way she did. Of course, this doesn't happen. Absolutely awful. I could go on and on about what else is wrong with this cinematic disaster. A major fall off a cliff from the first movie.
Why do you cut after every line? It's very distracting. Enjoyed your take on WW84 but the constant splicing was driving me nuts.
I'm honestly glad i didn't see that film, me and my dad went to go see News of the World (2020) by Paul Greengrass instead
Another negative review...I've rented this movie for $ 30 on youtube and I'm still within my 7 day refund period. Haven't opened the movie yet, but reviews like this are making me think twice about watching it.

I decided to see "News of the World" instead. Solid work from director Paul Greengrass and actor Tom Hanks, which doesn't tie into any franchise but contains deeply empathetic storytelling.
""You know the, the, the thing."" --- Joe Biden.
I think that is what is different about Hollywood in the past decade. I was listening to a podcast on Gladiator and they said if Gladiator comes out 15 years later, Maximus doesn't die, he lives and there is 2 more sequels. That says so much about movies now, hardly any movie that has both critical and commercial success can just be done after one.
How in the Californian fuck did you pick "Gladiator" as the example? It's a bad example. There are plenty of films that self-contained as well as empathetic, richly told, and audience-respecting. "Gladiator" is not one of them. Its Best Picture Oscar win is the goddam reason we can't have nice things.
@@AdamFishkin Read my second sentence.
Right, right, sorry .... the podcast. In that case THEY are the ones who should be ashamed of themselves.
I just don’t understand the appeal of Comic Book movies? They are no different than a James Bond movie as you pretty much know what you’ll get when you walk into the theater. Maybe that’s the appeal to people? I wouldn’t be bothered if Comic Book movies didn’t dominate the movie business these days. I just think that TV storytelling is where the real quality is these days. It’s the cause/effect from success of comic book movies.
There's two types of comic book movies:
The ones that deal with real people, and the ones that deal with superheroes/villains.
I watch the latter ones pretty much as fantasy films:
If the world building visually takes me to a place that has an atmosphere suitable to the protagonist's character, inner struggle or view of the world, I mostly feel content. It's an inner landscape type of thing, much like in a dreamscape.
"Dick Tracy", "Batman Returns", "The Mask", "Ghost in the Shell", "V for Vendetta", "Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn", "Shazam!", "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse", "The Batman" all fall into that category for me.
The former type of comic book movies is lesser known, and its prime examples are more like an arthouse movie, or at least like a very well-crafted genre movie.
Some good examples in my book would be: "From Hell", "A History of Violence", "Road to Perdition", "Ghost World", "Blue is the Warmest Colour", "Persepolis", "Snowpiercer", "In This Corner of the World", "Radioactive".
These can come in any form and genre, and there is pretty much the same range of appeal and variety amongst them that there is to any other type of (literature, radio play or theatre) adaptation to the big screen.
So much for (my) reasons to watch comic book movies.
I do agree that comic book adaptation franchises push other types of movies towards the fringes, endangering the overall variety of stories being told.
The problem of mainstream (mostly action/comedy) movie franchises sidelining films with more artistic value or thematic depth isn't entirely due to comic book adaptations, though.
If you look at Disney's other franchises (Star Wars, animated movies, etc.), spy movies, comedies, music films, heist films, racing movies, electronic game based flicks, etc. - it's pretty much the same phenomenon.
i honestly don’t understand the hatred towards this movie. It wasn’t amazing nor great but i had a decent time.
I don't understand the love for either. The film was a boring over hyped mess.
I really liked the first one, will checkout this one soon...for Gal Gadot alone😁
I wish they'd stick to comics if they lack creativity sigh
The first act feels like an actual superhero movie without the ideology bashing, but it loses that momentum real quick. I enjoyed it as an entertaining sunday movie.
I would love to hear your thoughts on Promising Young Woman.
The 3rd act in the 1st film also had problems. It sort of lost much of the humor, charm, and emotion of the 1st 2 acts. It felt like a really good film, regardless of genre. I don't expect the sequel to duplicate the magic of the wardrobe scene, Ice Cream scene, and No Man's Land scene. I just hope that I will care about the characters enough to enjoy the movie.
I was surprised how much you enjoyed it too

I think a lot of people who aren't comicbook readers are a little more accepting of this film. For as messy as the third act was I enjoyed it the most because Wonder Woman finally did something in her own film and the it finally had something to say. The first two acts by contrast were cliche, poorly written/directed, and just plain boring.
I Haven't seen it yet, but your telling the same story other reviewers are saying about it, but in a different way.

I really enjoyed this movie
you are 100% on point -- thats all
It's kind of ironic to me that you hated this film's third act, because Patty Jenkins originally had the first film ending in a similar way, the studio forced the CGI mess of the third act at the last minute. I liked Diana's speech during the third act of this film, especially since Hans Zimmer reused his Beautiful Lie theme from Batman v Superman. Overall this film was too much of a mish-mash for me. I'm willing to forgive some of the MANY flaws in the plot because it absolutely nailed the heart for me. When Diana had to say goodbye to Steve and ran off screaming in anguish then learned to fly, I think that was my favourite moment in the DCEU so far. A huge issue with this film is they got rid of Zack Snyder's stunt and visual effects teams from the first film. Also Patty Jenkins clearly isn't a good writer, and Geoff Johns is responsible for butchering so much of the DCEU so far. They should've kept the original screenwriters.
I still haven't seen Wonder Woman 2 through 1983
Still a nice movie. Good review! ;)
agree completely.
Can you review Greenland?
No mention of the female superhero graping of a male, non-consenting adult that was fed us...why am I not suprised?
XD A few of the men here sound a lot like some of the whiney, victimizing, neo-feminists that are often complained about. I have little tolerance for it, from women or men.
Well you may not like it, fair enough, but that is reality the militant feminazi group of your sex and their simp sidekicks have conferred onto our society so whiles we are here now why not play by the same rules?
@@AlphaWeirdfootage That shouldn't be the point tho. Why bring up a point like that when it has nothing to do with any of my commentary? You basically just saw a woman on youtube and assumed she would be another victimizing, new wave feminist rather than actually listening to what I have to say. Is this not part of the issue right here? Part of the hypocrisy? I could understand this response if my review was pointedly directed towards a feminism vs. masculinity argument, but it wasn't. You lumped me in with a political group without considering that I might feel differently in the same way many women do to men. So really, you just stereotyped yourself as well as the women around you. This reveals a lot about the weaknesses of both genders and their need for power over the other, rather than true equality, which is what we should be striving for. Not this "the future is female" bullshit.
@@deepfocuslens I apologize if you misunderstood my line of though, its my fault I probably should have articulated it better. I was not assuming you were 3rd wave radical feminist. My gripe was with the existing bias, consciously or sub-consciously, that people have when it comes to tackling social issues that puts members of the same sex in a negative light. Your review was the very first I came across made by a female after watching several others from male youtubers, every single one of them addressed this issue and called it out for what it rightfully was. So you could understand my eagerness to get a fresh view on it from a female perspective, but not a single mention of such a controversial scene was made. My og comment was made more out of disappointment than mischief.
There can't be different set of rules for the different set of players on a level playing field, and if the modern feminists are to be understood, a level playing field is what women want.
Thanks for bringing up this annoying trend of films/TV shows fetishizing the 80s..
You look tall how tall are you
5'7''
@@deepfocuslens Damnit I'm 5'6", can this still work
Like or Dislike: Like. Thanks for keeping the review spoiler-free and still homing in on specific flaws.
I didn’t dislike it but it was just too long. 45-50 min could’ve been cut and the plot would’ve been fine still
Okay okay I GET it now!!!!
Wonder Woman is absolutely littered with force feeding moral values.
Wonder Woman 1984 is going for the oscars, can you believe it?
Yes.
I think you would LOVE kajillionaire. have you checked it out?
Yeah, they definitely need to stop preaching just because we're in a politically senstive time. These movies are supposed to be strung together to create an interesting & complex story arc.
Nope.
This was a terrible, nonsensical movie - even for a superhero movie.
The plot was only moved forward by convenience based on a lack of respect for the audience.
the first one was pretty good as super hero movies go. This one was pony.
WW84 was irrelevant. I was super bored by the dialogues and the part I thought would blow my mind away was just trash. I thought the Winged Suit would be tied to the Ancient Sumerian Anunakis. but instead it was a stupid story I don't know if they intend to talk about it again. I was disappointed that Wonder Woman who is said to be ancient, doesn't even know history. I would have expected her to recognize that damn stone Artifact and not Use it to trigger the stupid storyline the show didn't need. Having another guy interested in her while she clings to her dead ex would have been a great drama as she tries to hide her true nature from him like the Spiderman story. The crazy make a wish guy was unnecessary, Cheetah could have played that part with all good intentions. They should have merged Cheetah and the Make a wish guy and have a great consistent villian. Why must Wonder Woman be in her underwear to save lives? That should be saved for Special Occation. It would have been more entertaining if she secretely twart the robbery plot at the beginning. That situation doesn't require her to be at her full power mode. She could have uses balls, rugs, swings, etc to make moves that undermine the robbers for cops to apprehend them but then the little black girl being the only one who really knew what she was doing. That would have been very entertaining and satisfying. Cheetah should have been a feminist Supervillian. Having WW who love men at odds with Cheetah who dispisses men and want to bring Amazona to Earth and create a world were Women can live freely without the influence of Men, that would have made a very interesting conflict if the Dialogs are written well. By the way, WW and the Amazonas should be at odds because she loves men.
